| I use MyFitnessPal too!! Did you exercise at all? It's ok to have a balance of calories left over, in fact, that was always my goal. What MFP does is it takes into account what you intake and what you expell. If you exercise, it gives you back calories. As long as you hit the max calories* with good, healthy food, don't over eat. You also have to consider how much salt, fat, etc your consuming aside from calories itself. Have you looked at your daily breakdown? It can be shocking!! *max calories MFP gives you as your max intake. Mine is 1200 calories.

| I'm really trying to remember the saying, if you're not hungry enough to eat an apple, you're not hungry enough. I've been eating apples and asian pears like crazy lol. Maybe I'm still eating too much salt. Though I don't like desserts, I still crave something to counteract the salty. The fruits hit the spot.

| Hey everybody!!! I've been trying to lose some weight now for about 3 months...did great at first and lost 12 pounds, now I seem to be stuck. I know I should increase my activity, but I'm not very good at it. I can't really afford a gym membership and walking is free, so that's what I tend to do. Now that the weather has taken a turn for the worst I haven't been walking faithfully...I try to keep active around the house, but no actual "exercise". My diet, I think is pretty good...lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats, skim milk and no junk food. In my mind, my change in eating habits should show more progress in my weight loss. I drink no soda and very little alcohol...only special occasions. Anyway, I'm here to improve my health and maybe pick up some pointers...I'd love to lose 20 more pounds...I know it's possible, but the older I get the harder it is to get these unwanted pounds and inches off.

| I have been working out pretty hard and really watching what I eat. You bring up a good point capt_noonie about the greek yogurt. I've been eating some post workouts because I heard it was good because of the protein in it. I didn't even think about eating the plain because of the extra sugars in the flavored ones. I've been eating the flavored ones. Looks like I need to start eating the plain. oops. |

My daughters friends mom has lost about 25 pounds and counting by walking and dieting. I couldn't believe how good she looked the last time I seen her and how much weight she lost. She said her and her friend go on a 45 minute walk together every night and she's just been watching what she eats. Yes, fitness pal is great for counting calories. I use it (although I forget too a lot). but it gives you a general idea of where your at as far as calorie intake goes each day. They even have a phone app you can use so you have it all the time with you.

Greek yogurt is the best. I like Fage and Voskos the best. I usually get the full fat version bc it's more satisfying but the 2% is pretty creamy too. The 0% is the thinnest/wateriest. The Fage full fat has the most protein, I think like 20g or something.

| I do. It seems more honest to me to input my own recipes. Found out my momma flan is 800 calories per slice if cut into 8 generous pieces or 400 a piece if cut into 16 pieces. And let's not get into the colesterol and sugar count. That is through the roof!!! But it's so good... I stopped eating it and my mom got offended. she's more into calorie counting than I am, even agreed we shouldn't eat it, yet still gets offended when I don't partake with the family.

| I was feeling really discouraged yesterday. I ate smallish lunch and then was feeling famished after work, got all mad about my bf telling me not to eat bad stuff so I ate 2 brownies to spite him. Lol. They're these amazing gluten free tiny brownie bites. 2 equal 100 cal I think. So not tll bad and no junk ingredients. I also didn't exercise yesterday...I was so tired from my workout the day before, then I worked from 5am-3pm. Okay, definitely just realized I'm being super complainy and whiney. I:m up, its 7am now, I want to go jog but its sooooo cold... Can anyone suggest some good shoes? I need a pair badly and I'm not too picky, as long as they aren't too clunky or hideous. And what brand of workout clothes do you guys do? All the lululemon stuff probably wouldn't fit me (yet). I'm just assuming its made for stick figures. This morning the scale said I lost 2 lbs.from my starting weight, but its only been 2 days so I think the variances are probably too big. I'll just log a weekly weight.

There are all kinds of jogging shoes out there. I got mine a year agoi and they are very lightweight and they still are in good shape even after a year. They are Reebok. They were $100 but I love those shoes. As far as gym clothes. Go to marshalls or ross. That's where I go. Doesn't really matter what brand, as long as they are comfortable. Just make sure you have a sports bra. Those are a must unless you want your boobies jumping around while you run. lol That and dealing with falling bra straps sucks too.

| I would never buy lululemon. Those prices are outrageous! What could possibly be so good about them? I read that the old CEO or owner or something said they named the company that bc it was funny hearing Japanese people try and say it. How freakin stupid is that?!

I agree. I buy whats comfortable as far as clothes go. I make sure I have good shoes and a couple good sports bras. The gym pants I have on now are Spalding and I got them at Marshall's for like $12. Those are my favorite workout pants at the present time. Then I have on a tank top. Nothing special. I'd never pay huge money for workout clothes. I do spend a little on shoes though because to me those are pretty important. but hey after a year they are still in awesome shape so it's worth it.

| Lunch on the bandwagon... Look what the bandwagon is serving today... Way better than a hamburger special. Dressing was fat free Italian. Not my first choice because of all the salt, but it's all I had today. |
