| Oh I don't doubt you one bit. You think she carries a razor in her mouth? LOL Sorry for the hijack! Ok back on topic. Do you guys use a scale or use your clothes as a judge?

And no... Have not seen any evidence of razors. She seems to like to use her fists the best!

The scale is my enemy. It's not budging much and it's very discouraging. I got brave and got on the scale this morning. I wasn't happy. My clothes seem to be going on better though. I don't know what to think. Last edited by Christinee; 12-29-2013 at 08:54 AM. | |

| As boring as the gym can be... I am upping my cardio workouts to an hour instead of 30 minutes. 30 minutes doesn't seem to be doing much. I've even cut calories. Maybe it's the extra wine and alcohol I've been drinking lately. |

| MIL just bought a new scale. Hint hint perhaps? LOL. Well that thing is a piece of junk. It's been there for a few days and when I used it, had a range of 8 ibs. It can't be that off, and there's no way I went up and down 8 lbs in the last few days. I prefer to use clothes better than a scale also. I think the scale plays mind games.

| Still going to the gym everyday and still watching what I eat and still scared to death of the scale. Maybe I should get a new one. That one is a WW scale I bought about two years ago. |

| I'm not doing very well. Ate a roll with butter on New years day and a Mrs Fields cookie sometime between Xmas and New years. I am trying to eat more steamed veggies and keeping an eye on my sodium intake.

| I'm late to the party, but I'm here!! I started yesterday. I set up a seperate instagram account for posting weekly weigh in, standing on the scale pics as well as my food and exercise. I'm a visual person and I like the motivation on insta. There's a great community there, actually. Not doing any crazy fad diet, just trying to eat more clean and definitely exercise more. I weigh 211 and want to get to 145 eventually. So I have a problem...if I cut out junk food, I am not consuming NEARLY enough calories at all!!! Ack!!! Like today I had a smoothie for breakfast, lunch was some chicken and rice soup I made, dinner was some gluten free chicken nuggets and a side salad. I dont want to undereat...because I know it'll slow my metabolism down, but if I'm not eating an entire bag of chips IDK what else to eat, because I don't really feel hungry for more food. Should I eat more food...? MyFitnessPal says I still have 1519 cal remaining grrrrrr. I did 2.5 hrs of cardio total today. Started with a 3 mile jog this morning, then I went to zumba, then I came home and stretched for about 30 min (I used to dance so I enjoy stretching) and then I just got back from jogging/walking for another hour.

| Wow keep it up Carmen! Please cut out the junk. So easy to do. If you drink sodas or sweetened tea, but those out too. Many people lose weight from just cutting out junk food. If you are still hungry, try baby carrots dipped in hummus. I also make home made fermented foods (kim chi, and japanese "saurkraut", pickles, etc). Sounds scary but there are probiotics in it. Take a look at kombucha tea. I make it at home, but if you don't want to make it, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc type stores will sell it. Kinda pricey which is why I make my own now. Also what are you using in your smoothies? Make sure no sweetened yogurt in there. I use plain Greek yogurt (full fat is ok, just no flavors). No sherbet, etc in your smoothies.

I've really dedicated myself to staying gluten free and haven't slipped at all except for a few times I accidentally consumed it. So a ton of my carbs have been cut out now that I don't eat bread, pasta etc. and I don't bother with the "gluten free" rice pasta. I have a smoothie every single morning with: Either unsweetened almond milk or decaf green tea, then I add whey powder, fresh fruit, flax, spinach, broccoli, and lemon. I don't add sweeteners.
