Now that the weather has taken a turn for the worst I haven't been walking faithfully...I try to keep active around the house, but no actual "exercise". My diet, I think is pretty good...lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats, skim milk and no junk food. In my mind, my change in eating habits should show more progress in my weight loss. I drink no soda and very little alcohol...only special occasions. Anyway, I'm here to improve my health and maybe pick up some pointers...I'd love to lose 20 more pounds...I know it's possible, but the older I get the harder it is to get these unwanted pounds and inches off.

My daughters friends mom has lost about 25 pounds and counting by walking and dieting. I couldn't believe how good she looked the last time I seen her and how much weight she lost. She said her and her friend go on a 45 minute walk together every night and she's just been watching what she eats.

Yes, fitness pal is great for counting calories. I use it (although I forget too a lot). but it gives you a general idea of where your at as far as calorie intake goes each day. They even have a phone app you can use so you have it all the time with you.
