But there is good news. My kinda New Years resolution was to bring lunch from home everyday. No more junk food (fast food) lunches at work anymore. At least I'm not eating junky food anymore and I try to cut bad things from what I cook at home. Leaner meats, less salt, I try to add more veggies, etc etc etc.

| I know salt is important because it can retain water, etc.. But years back I got really into shape. I had a nice size body and looked good. I never looked at salt. My main focus was working out, and checking the fat, calories and fiber in everything I ate. And I ate a lot of fruit and veggies. I didn't even count them. I ate them as I pleased. Maybe now that I am older it wouldn't work out the same, idk. |

| I created a healthy snack (or dessert). a scoop or two of plain greek yogurt, 4 or 5 black berries and top it with a little honey. SOOO GOODD!!! And if you want to make it extra yummy, add a small scoop (like a teaspoon) of peanut butter. Good Shizzzzz! |

| Yes, spicy as in actual chile peppers or red pepper flakes. But not bottled hot sauce. It's always loaded w tons of salt.

There is this sprouted grain cereal I sometimes buy at Sprouts. I'm sure you could also. Find at Trader joes or Whole foods. It's Ezekiel something and you can use it in place of a granola topping if you want that crunch. It's supposed to be cereal you eat w milk. Bf initially was the one who bought it but said it was nastyw milk. It's really good. On Greek yogurt!

| hope it is not to late to join in the group. I am going to give the Dr Oz plan a try, it's very restrictive but has a lot of principles you gals have been talking about; Low glycemic veggies, gluten free, brown rice for fiber, no sugar, no diet drinks, smoothie for breakfast and so forth. He wants you to have an unflavored greek yogurt each day, which I hate but Priscilla I am going to give it a try since you almost have me convinced it's good, but then LOL I will take that with a grain of salt since your taste buds seem to like the tart fermented type of foods The Dr Oz plan promises fast weight loss, so it better deliver considering all I have to give up For the person who said no money for the gym, do you have a Planet Fitness near you, they seem to be all over the area I live in, they are just $10 a month and $10 to join and are open 24/7 no Zumba though. Also they are supposed to be a no meathead gym and LOL have this Lunk alarm that is wrung if someone big and bulky starts showing off or dropping weights. Exercise Clothes, I love the dance skin brand that Wallmart sells, there are two types of long black workout pants that you can wear to the grocery store as well as Zumba. Kohls has tons of gym shoes, good sales and great coupons if you have their credit card. I have a wide foot and they have a lot of wide foot choices as well Carmen with all you have given up over the last few months I am surprised the pounds have not melted off you, have you had a thyroid test lately, lots of woman have sluggish thyroids that slow their weight loss down, it runs in my family but I don't have the problem, so LOL can not use that as one of my excuses. oh well hopefully you guys can help keep me motivated.

| Add a squeeze of lemon to some ice water. For me it makes drinking water much easier. I drink a lot more of it that way. |

| I know its supposed to.curb your appetite or something but to me,it tastes AWFUL which sucks bc I love lemons. I put fruit in my water usually. last night I had frozen blueberries in it and my water turned a lovely purple color. light berry taste,.plus once you drink the water you can eat the berries. I've done raspberries as well.
