| But lately he has been trying, so gotta give him that much. I got him drinking tea at night and he's been avoiding certain foods and even doing vinegar shots. That is huge. |

Bf has gained weight, but still is no where near fat. He used to work out a lot. He likes to eat healthy, but will not eat any meal that is not significantly meat based protein, otherwise he would just prefer not to eat. For ex he would not eat a meal that was carbs with a meat sauce on it, like rice with curry sauce that is meat based, or pasta with meat sauce. It would have to be curry with chunks of chicken or lamb, or pasta with meatballs or sausage. He doesn't eat as many veggies as me, but is good with the smoothies in the AM and loves Greek yogurt. He will not drink my home brewed kombucha, but will buy the $4 bottles any given chance if he is in Sprouts.

| I found this. It looks like fun! I have chia and quinoa seeds at home. I'm going to try this tonight. Organic Garden in your Kitchen | My New Roots

I eat: eggs, avocado, spinach, unseasoned grilled chicken breast, gluten free toast, I'm obsessed with tomatoes on everything, tuna, tilapia, peanut butter, lots of bananas, lots of steamed veggies (zucchini, squash, cauliflower, and carrots are my faves) or raw veggies with hummus, and I drink water and almond milk in my smoothies. So idk how healthy that is but I've been staying away from anything in a box, can, etc. Tony eats whatever he wants..too lazy to cook real meals for himself but we try to sit down and eat dinner together and he's been game for waking up super early every morning to walk. He has asthma so he uses that as an excuse not to run, I understand but think he could use the exercise. His dad has diabetes and I worry it'll all catch up to him when he's older. He refuses to go to a gym with me though and that's been the hardest part is going alone..but I'm getting better. He's not fat, but he is short (same height as me, 5'3 almost 5'4) and he's getting a bit of a beer belly. lol.

| You know the more I have been eating veggies and less stuff out of a box or can, the easier it gets. I am actually preferring to eat veggies over meat lately. Not to say I eat vegetarian meals, but it is more like 70/30 veggies/meat, whereas before it was 70/20/10 meat/carbs/veggies. And staying away from the canned and boxed stuff is easy for me. Just reading the ingredients label is enough to change my mind. And if the ingredients are that simple, heck I will just make it myself!

| Boy do I ever need a boost in my weight loss. My scale will not budge. We do not have a Planet Fitness here in my small town...I'd have to travel 50 miles or more to get to one. So that just won't work for me and my work schedule. I feel as though I am eating pretty good over all...why is it the first 12 pounds came off pretty quickly and then the brakes went on, and I have not seen any progress what so ever. I can't see me doing the Dr Oz diet...it's too restrictive...although I really believe it would work. Ho-hum, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and hope for the best.

| I made a salad dressing w my chia seeds, raspberry vinaigrette, olive oil, pepper and salt. Then I put it on a salad of cabbage, broccoli, carrot, onion, corn. It would be great w sunflower seeds too! I looked up online about sprouting chia seeds and the method I posted not work for chia since it has that gel stuff on it. I'm making quinoa in the rice cooker now too. I can't ever get it right not he stovetop.

| My gym has a class this morning. Some sort of aerobic class. I am going to give it a try. Lets see if it works me out enough to make me sore. It's the first time I've taken this class. |
