Usually men don't like being told what to do. Esp when they are thin themselves and their partners are overweight or want to lose weight and they keep "nagging" the men to eat better. Of course they think they are doing it better since they are the ones that is thin. It's proven that metabolism of men and women are different. Plus we gain weight in different areas.
Bf has gained weight, but still is no where near fat. He used to work out a lot. He likes to eat healthy, but will not eat any meal that is not significantly meat based protein, otherwise he would just prefer not to eat. For ex he would not eat a meal that was carbs with a meat sauce on it, like rice with curry sauce that is meat based, or pasta with meat sauce. It would have to be curry with chunks of chicken or lamb, or pasta with meatballs or sausage. He doesn't eat as many veggies as me, but is good with the smoothies in the AM and loves Greek yogurt. He will not drink my home brewed kombucha, but will buy the $4 bottles any given chance if he is in Sprouts.
