7 lbs is quite a good start. is Tony on the plan with you, it is so helpful to have support. My DH is not heavy so he thinks he is living healthy, the funniest thing is after a workout with dinner he has big chocolate protein shake with 2% milk and on top of the chocolate in the shake he adds a bunch of Hershey syrup to it He drinks two or more reg pepsi's everyday, he also adds at least two tablespoon of white sugar to the whole grain cereal I buy him. but he is thin so I try not to say anything, because he immediately turns the tables and complains about my weight so it is not worth bringing up all the sugar he consumes.
Once I read this book Plan D I will let you know what I think, it is supposed to be very good and about health and clean living the gal that wrote it is a chemist or something and really understands food, she was quite obese as a young adult and now looks amazing, several of my friends read it. |
Tony eats: tons of frozen stuff (not tv dinners but stuff you heat in a skillet), cereal, sandwiches, pasta, French fries, burgers, drinks green tea.
I eat: eggs, avocado, spinach, unseasoned grilled chicken breast, gluten free toast, I'm obsessed with tomatoes on everything, tuna, tilapia, peanut butter, lots of bananas, lots of steamed veggies (zucchini, squash, cauliflower, and carrots are my faves) or raw veggies with hummus, and I drink water and almond milk in my smoothies.
So idk how healthy that is but I've been staying away from anything in a box, can, etc. Tony eats whatever he wants..too lazy to cook real meals for himself but we try to sit down and eat dinner together and he's been game for waking up super early every morning to walk. He has asthma so he uses that as an excuse not to run, I understand but think he could use the exercise. His dad has diabetes and I worry it'll all catch up to him when he's older. He refuses to go to a gym with me though

and that's been the hardest part is going alone..but I'm getting better. He's not fat, but he is short (same height as me, 5'3 almost 5'4) and he's getting a bit of a beer belly. lol.
