ALSO, I never ever ever would have asked to exchange the booties or the mis-sized Tutu if she wasn't SO adament that exchanges were NO PROBLEM at all. Both of those products weren't used and were resellable. I didn't even out and out ask for an exchange, SHE OFFERED. So please don't make it sound like I'm a customer who's constantly asking for exchanges/refunds. I only asked to exchange the shoes because she made it clear that would be acceptable after Missy got them home and had the chance to try them on. The Tutu, I asked her opinion on the fit and she suggested I get something else instead.

If you read my email about the defective clothing, I think it's pretty obvious that I wasn't upset. I was just asking if it's normal for this to happen to that particular line of clothing because I wanted her to be aware. Gillian has given me some nice deals for placing large orders in the past and she has allowed me to go to her home and pick up my purchases, which was a major advantage to me because I could see the items in person and it saved me $ on shipping. Her response to my enquiry about the gems falling off is what through me off. It is the way she treated me that has me the most upset. I don't feel that it was very professional or called for.

| With ordering big orders and being a loyal customer it is sad this has happened. I guess it ends up with an unsatisfied customer and a lesson learned. Just put it behind you =)

| Shaunna, I have to agree with you. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this and you shouldn't have to. If people are going to have businesses, they need to know how to run them. I would be HIGHLY upset/pissed too if this had happened to me and the seller was being rude with me. 5 - 6 months isn't long at all to have a business so she may have another thing coming. I can tell that the clothes haven't been washed. I just canNOT get over how she is treating you! She is belittling you and it is NOT right. I think she very well deserves this post and if it were me and she was a registered business, I'd report her to the BBB. I think instead of treating you the way she is, she needs to be worrying about her clothing falling apart. This is insane! I have had quite a few customers who were hard to please and I've had my business for around 4 months now. I NEVER talked to them this way and I NEVER will. I always made it right with them EVEN when I was in the right and they were in the wrong.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | It seems like there's an issue here at YT where the line between friendship and business gets blurred quite a bit. I don't know if I've just started seeing it because I only recently started buying dog clothing online. I guess I'm not used to so many websites being run by one person, and it seems like by making a complaint, sellers feel both personally betrayed and that their livlihood is being threatened. Unhappy customers are a fact of life. Someone posted something here about a customer who got angry with her when he found out what bully sticks were made of. You really can't please everyone all the time. LilMissy, I've seen your albums and I know that you recommend this seller a lot. Missy herself is a walking advertisement. I can understand why you felt shocked when you received this email. At the same time, I wonder if you could have waited a few days to cool down and try to re-open communication. I do wonder if this seller possibly confused some other customers' returns in her head. She may not be thinking clearly due to her grief. Her email to you is not professional, and if I were a seller, I'd be bending over backwards to keep a dog like Missy in my clothes. At the same time, I think this is a shame for you too, because you have done so much business with her, and you may have escalated a situation that could have been resolved with more patience on your part. This is just a thought. I believe in being honest, and you have every right to post what happened. I do hope that the two of you are able to work it out and keep Missy in the fashion to which she has become accustomed.

| Emilyann - Thank you. Not only am I surprised that she isn't concerned about quality control of her products, but also that she would be so disrespectful towards one of her customers. Quicksilver - You are too sweet with all the nice compliments about Missy. Thank you, that really made me smile ![]() The seller and I didn't meet on YT. I found her randomly online while searching for Yorkie Canada stuff. As far as having more patience in dealing with this as to not escalate the situation, I'm not concerned about that. I will not do business with, or speak to someone who treats me that way. There are far too many reputable vendors in this world (and on YT alone) to worry about buying from one particular seller. Missy deserves THE BEST, products that fall apart after one wear are not good enough for my little girl. What if she ate some of those gems? I would NOT be happy!!!

| I think when you purchase a product from a seller it should be perfect. If it is not to your standards they should be notified and they should rectify the situation. These items are not cheap. The gems should not be falling off after a few hours. That's just crazy. Shauna should not have to go to AC Moore to purchase gems and put them on herself. This is what she paid $20 for a shirt for. The seller should take the product back period. If her supplier does not take them back then I suggest the seller find a new supplier. It is not the customers fault that these products are of poor quality. To insinuate that the buyer doesn't know or did not wash the items properly is just nuts. This is not the way to do business. Sometimes you have to eat a product to keep a customer. Clearly Shauna has spent alot of money on items for her baby. To tell a customer not to do business with them anymore sounds crazy. I also feel bad that this lady lost her precious baby, but at the same time it is not the customers problem. She should not have to walk on eggs now because the seller is in greif. Everyone has things going on in their lives. It should not interfere with her business. I think Shauna was right to tell the seller that the items were of poor quality. But to be insulted this way is not called for. I would be livid. There are plenty of web sites that sell baby clothing. She is not the only seller. She needs to be careful about telling customers not to do business with her. She may say that one once too many times. Especially in these hard economic times, you just don't get rid of a customer (even if Shauna was difficult--I'm not saying she was) . You don't throw away money. We are talking about a $20 item. There was no need to get nasty. Sorry this is my opinion. I would not do business with this kind of business.

| YT 500 Club Member | I think this review was done professionally and in accordance with the purpose of this thread. I'm all for being patient and not escalating situations unneccessarily, but the email from the seller seemed way out of line.

| Your right $20 is alot of money for an outfit that doesn't last. However, my thing was that she offered to exchange the items. I think your feelings were hurt by her when she said she didn't want you doing business with her anymore. She is obviously in a fragile state with the passing of her pup and I can sympathize with that. Sometimes people say things during a time of grief that they wouldn't normally say. I know you love your baby because you buy clothes for her and its like your little baby. Just think how you would be if you lost her. It will take this seller time to get back on track. I do agree that she should STOP DEALING WITH that manufacturer since this happened to both of the peices you purchased from that manufacturer. She does have to work more on quality control. I have to say you are very humble and that is what this forum is for. However, I just think that the circumstances are a little much with her dog dying. Like I said she probably wouldn't have been this way if her dog hadn't passed. Quote:
