| Several of my friends are Gillian's clients and never had troubles with her , on the other hand , some had much more troubles with vendors of U.S.A. If $20.00 canadian is much money , imagine someone paying an order from the states with the money exchange rate and the seller taking forever to give an answer about the order . |

After posting my review, I had one of her clients contact me through PM saying that they had quality control issues too. Gillian HERSELF knows of certain issues. The emblems on the Juicy tracksuits almost instantly get loose threads unravelling on them. I never mentioned this complaint to Gillian, even though mine started coming apart right after I purchased them. She brought it up on her own and told me that when it happens, I should glue the threads down with clear nail polish. I am having problems with the gems on Missy's pink skull tshirt as well that I just bought on my last visit to Gillian's. Missy hasn't even worn it yet. I noticed it while picking out her outfit this morning. Three of the gemstones have already fallen off and it's BRAND NEW. Not all of my feedback about this seller is negative though. I do have a white Louis Vuitton playsuit and jacket that are TOP quality. Missy wears this outfit alot, I've washed it 3 times and it looks brand new still. Also her Juicy winter jacket has worn well, although I haven't washed it yet. She has a Juicy hoodie with jean skirt that is wearing and washing well so far, and the Chanel playsuit (with gem logo) that Gillian GAVE to Missy (because of the orders my friends have placed) is wearing well too. It hasn't been washed yet, so that may change. I am worried about the $90 knock-off Juicy bag that I just bought from her. If it happens to be defective, obviously she won't do a thing about it. It is put away until my birthday on May 20th. So, I don't have only bad things to say about this seller. SOME, not all of the products are poorly made, but I guess that is to be expected when you are buying designer knock-off clothing, which is why I never complained about the Juicy tracksuits. I just live with the loose threads coming off the emblems. They are mostly just for wearing around the house anyways. I've already said that I sympathize with her losing her Yorkie. I was very fond of Georgie as well. I don't think this gives her an excuse to deal with this situation the way that she did though. I too have lost my bestfriend. I had to put her to sleep 2 summers ago. It took me until Nov 2008 before my heart had healed enough to get Missy. Life went on though...despite being devastated by the loss of my dog, I continued to run my home business and care for my family. I don't think losing a loved one gives you a free ticket to treat people poorly, particularly your paying customers. As far as ordering products from the U.S., I do it all of the time! I actually order more from there then I purchase here in Canada. I've never had a problem!

Anyways, it's all water under the bridge now. I am not going to be a burden to her by making any exchanges. She obviously just wants me to go away so that she can ignore the problems with the clothes, and that's fine. I have no problem with taking my business elsewhere. There are many other YT vendors who are willing to feed my "shopping for Missy" addiction

| I wasn't going to post but decided to and just give my 2 cents. I think this forum serves a purpose but I would never use it even if I had a bad experience. Although I expect nice quality when I am in a store and can see the product, I don't on the internet. When I get something I ordered on the internet i know it will always be a surprise (sometimes and sometimes ) I don't order anything in clothes that is not name brand over $50 and if the bling was falling off I would repair it myself but that is just me. I do feel to ask a customer to not order any longer there had to be more to the story. JMHO Only time I ever complained it was an expensive gift that I ordered from another vendor and not who we are talking about today. If it came to me I'd deal with it, take it in or let it out.

I never ordered my merchandise online. I was purchasing straight out of her home. The defects that I mentioned to her weren't obvious at the time of purchasing as they hadn't been worn in order for the gems to fall off. The one time that I did witness gems falling off of a tshirt in her living room, I didn't buy it! Why should *I* have to repair brand new merchandise? Besides, if you read my email to her...you'll see that I never even asked her to repair, exchange, or refund the merchandise (and I'm still not). I politely enquired if this is "the norm" for this particular product, and I just wanted to make her aware that it was happening. I would think that someone who is running a business would want to know about these types of problems with their products. I don't understand why I am being made out to be the bad guy. I do agree that there must be more to this story of her not wanting to do business with me. I can assure you that it isn't a problem with ME. Do you honestly think this woman allowed me into her home 3 times and had friendly chats with me because I am horrible? I met her one time outside of her home, and from then on she invited me in and would chat with me for hrs. She even introduced me to her daughter and grandsons. I know what the problem is...it is that she knows the quality of some of her products isn't the best and she realizes that by doing business with me in person, she will have to deal with these issues time and time again. I just wish that I had realized this on my own sooner, because then I wouldn't have been promoting the website to all of you. But, as I said...not everything that she sells falls apart. There are some products that she sells that are totally AWESOME. Just make sure that you pick the right ones is all! To the previous poster that suggested contacting the BBB. I wouldn't go that far, but I doubt that if I wanted to I even could. I'm pretty sure she probably isn't a registered business yet because her business is only 6-7 months old (according to what she told me). She's never issued me a receipt for my purchases (not even the first one, when I was a new customer). Also, she never charged me the applicable taxes for buying goods in our province. We dealt in cash only, which is why she can get away with just sluffing me off. My mistake. Anyways...I feel like this thread is going on and on, almost like I'm typing in circles. I don't have to explain myself anymore. I was a paying customer at Sapphire's Closet - Sapphire's Closet Homepage and I posted my review. Take it however you want to. The End.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | It's seems like you've been very open and honest about what happened, and I believe it's in everyone's best interests to be public and about exceptionally good and exceptionally bad experiences. People may not realize that you really did go out of your way to promote her business - I remember looking at your albums, and every picture said, "outfit by Sapphire's Closet". And I checked out her site because of that. Not many boy clothes, so I didn't buy, but you're right that a lot of dogs want to look like Missy. ![]() It did occur to me that the seller could simply have changed her return policy, rather than writing an inflammatory email. Have you spoken to her since this happened? I would just be sad if I met someone's grandchildren and I cared enough about someone's business to promote it so heavily - it's a shame to me that it ended so abruptly. Maybe chalk the email up to temporary insanity! Anyway, you did nothing wrong, and as you said. The End!

| I absolutely appreciate your post and wish more would post honest reviews...the good & the bad. Isn't that what a review is for? With that said...this review wouldn't deter me from purchasing items from this vendor BUT, enlightened me on the probability of gems being "permanently" affixed to a garment. As for the vendor's response to her buyers dissatisfaction...I'd give her the benefit of the doubt for the sake of her recent loss as being reason for her less than proper customer service.

| I too, appreciate the OP posting an honest review. I think she felt extra responsible to alert potential customers because she had done so much to promote the business. Her reputation was alined with this vendor. We need to quit trying to beat up every customer that has to write a bad review or we will stop getting honest input. A review forum is worthless if people are afraid to post the truth for fear they will be attacked. I don't expect every vendor to have a perfect record. There are going to be products that do not meet expectations occasionally. It is more how they deal with the situation once it occurs that tells me if I want to do business with them. I can tell you absolutely, I would not do business with this vendor. Not only did her merchandise fail to hold up for even one wear, she did not stand behind her product, tried to blame the problem on the customer without even finding out if she had washed the item, and treated the customer rudely, severing a business relationship abruptly. If there is more to the story, then she should post her own defense. I understand all too well, the strain grief puts on a person, but it is still never an excuse to treat others wrong.

| people should be allowed to post a 100% honest review of the products they purchase. if they feel like they can't post an honest review, then why even bother having this section. i think it's great when people post a review of your shop weather its a good review or a bad review. because it is the vendor's opportunity to improve and make amends. if someone had post a bad review of your business, it is your opportunity to make it right and improve your business. how a seller handles these situations is very important since everyone is watching/reading to see if the seller will make amends. good communication is the key. it's much easier to keep a customer than to acquire a new one. ![]() for the people that posted saying they didn't understand why the op did the review or that it was unfair. i don't really understand where you are coming from. what did you think the op should do? is this section for good reviews only? bad reviews not welcomed? |

| I wasn't going to post but thought I would throw in my two cents. On the one hand, it sounds like the seller has a lot on her mind and maybe that is part of the problem however, i do think that when you run a business, really there is no excuse. I think that with all the promoting of her site the OP has done, if it were me, I'd be so grateful, that I'd go out of my way to keep her happy. You sound like you've been a great customer and I've seen some of your threads raving about her so I'm really surprised she treated you this way. Maybe when she has a chance to think about things she will realize her mistake and apologize and if not, well it's her loss, not yours! |

I still owe someone and am trying to reach her but if I had someone that wasn't happy with their cards or labels I did for them - and they let me know - I'm just paypal back what they paid ....or make new ones at my cost and would never speak to anyone like she spoke to you. Especially after all you did for her I'm sorry about her loss.....that's really sad | |
