| I am not a breeder and I learned alot on YT about buying a yorkie from a reputable breeder. Our last dearest little girl had separation anxiety and Ibd all her life. We loved her so much but we did not see the red flags. What I am getting at is if you are not knowledgeable about yorkies why would you buy these two and want to breed them? Please spay and neuter these dogs and have them as pets. Somebody would probably love to buy the male if he is neutered . I am sorry for the lecture but you see so many of these yorkies with problems because people think it is easy to breed and sell. |

| You paid WAY to much!! I don't think you would have much future in breeding these dogs. I am going to speak for all of us so correct me if wrong, but most of us yorkie parents are usually EXTREMELY picky when choosing a new yorkie, and we want to know everything about them. BRB breeders can smell someone new to the breed a mile away, and I think you were scammed big time. However, you can look on the bright side i think you probably saved these two babies from a very miserable life. XOXO |

| I lost my very special friend in october 2011, she was an incredible 12 year old aussie. We lost her to cancer. I was crying like, all the time, and missed my furry soul mate terribly. About a month ago the hubby and I decided to get a yorkie and try to fill the void. I researched the breed as I am not real familiar with yorkies. Then we looked searched and searched for a reputable breeder. But wow the puppies were so exspensive. Well one night looking through a web site called Hoobly, we found the sweetest lil face I have ever seen.(HOOBLY is full of Lies and scams..BEWARE!!) He was sweet and affordable. He is 3 pounds and 3 years old and only $500.00. So we went to meet him. He was as she said, sweet and tiny. But he was wearing a bellyband. She said that was because they were just moving into the new house (it was a new house), and he would mark his new territory. She said he was not use to a collar and was only walked in a stroller. She said not to bother to feed him hard treats, he does not like them. I had to pay and extra $100.00 for his AKC papers. She asked me not keep him locked in a cage. I had to have him, he just snuggled into my arms and into my heart. On the way home I realized he was shivering and his breathe was horrific! At home he didn't try to play, he wouldn't eat...he piddled on everything!!! He only curled into a ball and shivered. His nails were real long, ears dirty and a hack job for a haircut, like she just did it on the fly! I'm trained in pet grooming. So we went to the vet. He is 3 pounds and basically healthy except that he has the worst teeth our vet has seen in years, diaper rash from wearing the bellyband all the time. He had a fever from rotten teeth and that is reason he would not eat the treats and his food! We believe he was not scocialized and possibly only let out of his crate for breeding because he went right into his crate with no problems and didn't know how to play. Since his antibiotics and working with him everyday, showing him how much we love him and showing him how to play, he really is turning into a special lil guy! His dental surgery is Friday and he will missing about 10 rotten teeth and a ton of tartar. So what I am saying is don't give up on your lil ones. Work with your vet and see what happens!!!!

| I am sorry that these thieves robbed you like this. I don't know the laws in your part of the world, but follow up with the police or your local court system to see if there is anything that can be done. I am guessing that you paid in cash so there is no check to stop, or charges to reverse. For the male, I would advise buddy bands. I think they are sold at most chain petstores or you can d.i.y. by cutting off the cuff from a sweatshirt and lining it with a maxi pad. Put it on him like a skirt with the maxi pad over the boy area. I don't like ceasar food. For the first few days I would serve boiled chicken and rice then slowly introduce a high quality limited ingredient kibble. It may take a while to find something that works for them. I think setting up a schedule and plenty of exercise can help calm them down in the first few weeks. Can you set up a child gate in your kitchen on laundry area to give them a den and keep them confined when you cant supervise them? Best of luck, I hope it all works out. |

| You got robbed. There is no way around that. These pups are going to cost you a lot more money in vet care and training than your initial cost. Belly bands combined with training and neutering can help eliminate the marking. You need to be diligent and correct the leg lifting behavior indoors. Let dogs be dogs and allow the leg lifting and marking as an outdoor activity. Good luck.

| Thank you everyone. I am from northern Alberta, extremely small town which is good and bad! The vet will be in office tomorrow - so I get to make an apt in the am and probably get in. I'm pretty happy about getting that done. I followed Max around the house last night and said no every time he lifted his leg - so with any luck I will get that behavior corrected with patience and time. As for Lulu I picked up some stop itching shampoo and lotion so I hope that helps. Lesson learned, I paid a fortune for companions. Everything happens for a reason - I'm sure everything will turn out. I'll let you all know what the vet says tomorrow. Thanks again guys - most of you have been extremely helpful |

| I hope these babies have a wonderful and carefree life from here on out. Sounds like they deserve a break!

| First I would like to say that I am so sorry for the loss of your shizue,I understand how much your heart hurt. I do hope that your adventure with your two new friends will help heal your heart some. It sounds as though both of these sweet babys havent had much of a life in their very short time on the planet. It sounds as though you have something special to offer to them. Belly bands for boys are a wonderful thing! and will save your carpet. Until you can trust both of them, they can not be out unsupervised. There is a product called Natures Miracle that us supposed to help get the stain and smell out of carpets. I hope that the vet visit has a positive outcome. They both sound as though they will need some immunization shots. You will find a ton of information in the library here on grooming and food reviews. You should not change their food for a week or two. If the kibble that you have is to big,put some of it in a foodprocessor for just a second. This will also give you time to do some reading on what you think a good food will be for them. After you all are settled in a bit and you have had a chance to bathe and brush the babys. We would all love to see pictures of them. Take training one day at a time. Most little boys really do have a heart to please. Speak softly and firmly. Best of luck. |

| As everyone has said you really got scammed. I hope you are not overwhelmed with having to deal with the dog's issues. Here is a link to some info from the training section of YT that may be of some help. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...nt-advice.html If you find that training them is too much for you please contact a Yorkie rescue. They are experienced in training this type of abused dog. That is what this type of breeding is......abuse. A person unfamiliar with re-training a dog would not be able to deal with these sorts of problems without a lot of help. This is a link for a belly band. You can put a sanitary napkin inside to absorb the moisture. The male cannot help what he is doing and until he is fixed you don't stand much chance of stopping him and re-training in that area. It takes a while after the neuter to get the male hormones out of the male's system. Then you may have more success. I feel really bad that these people have gained so much money from you. It's awful that you had to learn this way. I hope you continue to read the information in the various sections of YT. The "sticky" area at the top of each forum section usually are quite informative. If you have questions please do not be afraid to ask. If you need moral support you can get that too. |

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | One other thing. Report this woman to the CKC. Canadian Kennel Club. You never know she might just be a member. Also it is their rules that the paperwork for change of ownership must be supplied to the purchaser at the time of purchase. iT is one of the papers you would sign at the time you pick up your puppies. Also when you feel ready you can report her to the BBB and various other on line organizations - you were scammed - fight back with the tools that are available to you. On the medical side; as someone mentioned above, a very thorough exam should be done with these two. Full blood work, full physical (this should include, eyes, ears, heart, teeth and structure. I would also request the BATS be done on them. Bile Acid Test. It is about $60-$65 - at least that is what I paid in Ontario. This seller in all likelihood had a reason for selling these two, which is unlikely to be anything she told you. The most likely reason is some health issue with both of them, that precludes their being bred again. And that is worrisome. Best of luck today with your vet visit.

| Sorry, I guess the link I tried to post didn't go in. Here is the link for a belly band there are other places you can get them as well. Just google "belly band". Etsy.com has several people who make them, too. |

| Hi...and welcome to YT. I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Shih Tzu. I know how they become so dear to your heart. You already know that you walked with blinders on into a 'gotcha' situation, and, again, I am sorry to hear that you were taken advantage of like that. I hope that works out for you. However, the Yorkies could become, with patient loving care and training, some of the best and most devoted pets...as is their nature...but, again, how you decide to handle the situation is for you to decide based on your own circumstances. A belly band for the boy will definitely help but you realize that, not only was he established in a completely 'dog' mentality by lack of human socialization and 'manners/potty' training, you had a previous dog in the space he now occupies...which is now "his" new "territory" which may account for his "need" to mark...and his senses are keen. You might want to consider a gentle cleaning with vinegar and water 50/50 solution of surfaces your Shih Tzu might have touched/walked on/rubbed against that might be scent-marked and is within the reach of the male Yorkie. Also, I, too , and unfamiliar with Cesar dry food...have never seen or heard of it, but I have read the label on the wet food...which, for one thing, has sodium nitrite...to preserve color...???...do dogs care what color their food is? Anyway, sodium nitrite alone is a carcinogenic chemical added in human food, too, typically, in bacon, hot dogs, ham, luncheon meats, corned beef, etc., to preserve color...to keep ham and corned beef 'pink' and it is an ingredient I avoid. Other ingredients I avoid are emphasized in bold below for just one wet Cesar product...others are questionable, and note that the first ingredient...the largest proportional ingredient...which is listed first: "t-bone steak flavor in meaty juices - Ingredients: sufficient water for processing, beef by-products, meat by-products, liver, beef, chicken, chicken by-products, added color, calcium carbonate, natural flavors, sodium tripolyphosphate, carrageenan, dried yam, xanthan gum, potassium chloride, salt, erythorbic acid, t-bone steak flavor, guar gum, zinc sulfate, sodium nitrite (for color retention), vitamin A, D3, and E supplements, d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1)." From the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) about sodium nitrite: "Section 3: Hazards Identification "Potential Acute Health Effects: Very hazardous in case of eye contact (irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation. Hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant). Slightly hazardous in case of skin contact (permeator). Prolonged exposure may result in skin burns and ulcerations. Overexposure by inhalation may cause respiratory irritation. Severe over-exposure can result in death. Inflammation of the eye is characterized by redness, watering, and itching. Did you know...You can mix charcoal and sodium nitrite and light it with a match, and watch the pretty which flash as it ignites...like gunpowder without the sulfur? Below is a link to help explain chemical additives in "food" since I have led you down this road a few steps :Food Additives ~ CSPI’s Food Safety I hope none of this is offensive to anyone...if so, I apologize...but...I didn't actually invent any of it...I just read...a lot!

| I'm sorry to hear the loss of your shih tzu. I am also sorry that you had this happen to you- Some people are ruthless. I would say the best thing you can do is keep them and love them- Of course if you can not afford two Yorkies then re home one of them. I would def take them to the vet and schedule them for spay and neuter. If you do keep them, it will get easier- These poor babies have been through so much- Who knows how they were treated, and by the way it sounds they were not treated well at all!! I hope you are able to keep them and keep them together, love and cherish them! It will get easier for you!!

| You are going to pay a hard price for a lesson learned. Never purchase without seeing where the dog is kept, pedigree and have they een health tested
