| I do not have any knowledge about breeding at all. However, can the vet not tell if she is pregnant? Ultrasound? Anything? You keep stating she might be pregnant now. Did this come up during your vet visit?

| Yorkie Yakker | I know good breeders have a huge job on their plates and I by no means are against all their dedication and hard work, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do. My Rebecka has papers and they don't mean a thing to me . I wanted a healthy baby to love. If these women are breeders that breed by health please listen. My little one has been through sooo much, i cry at the thought that she is sick. I don't want to breed because it takes a lot of knowledgefor the pups to be healthy. I have a little male and fixed my female because of her health issues. no amount of money etc. is worth the pain unhealthy pups and their owners go thru. This is why I say think before you breed |

I'm just now seeing this thread myself and see no way how breeding this pair could ever be considered a good thing. Puchased from most likely a puppymiller from the back seat of a car. Losing hair and bad teeth. And the first thought is breeding them. Really?

| Before you consider breeding, would you link on these threads and read all the posts all the way through about the ethics of who should breed and when? Not just the first pages of posts but please read all the way through. Then, go to the link Nancy1999 provided ?in the first thread below? about what makes a reputable breeder and read that. Just commit to fully researching whether or not you are able or even inclined to enter into all that it would require of you in research, being mentored, time, expense and the total dedication required of you before you should even consider breeding your female. There are many more threads here about what it takes to really be reputable breeder if you will search them out and read them. You will be doing the Yorkshire Terrier breed and all the prospective owners of Yorkies your dogs might produce a great favor if you will give it long and serious consideration in light of all the issues involved. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ale-no-no.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...situation.html

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | All I am going to say is anyone thinking of breeding for the experience, to get pets for friends and family or just for the heck of it should go to a shelter and see the life of these puppies/dogs after the thrill has worn off, the medical bills are too expensive, they have kids now and the other sad excuses people give when they turn their loyal family member over to a life in a shelter or worse. I never ever wanted to breed anything but it I had, my experience working at a shelter would have certainly changed my mind. I have had yorkies for over 40 years and it is so sad to see what has become of them due to careless breeding. I leave the breeding to the experts and still things can go very wrong. I hope you reconsider and let her live out her life being pampered like she is now.
