| Me too. I figured the coconut taste would be subtle. I may add a wee bit instead of butter at the end

| All of this talk of eating coconut oil reminds me of the time my brother and I made ourselves very sick eating Hawaiian bread. It was like being sick from drinking too much alcohol, but worse. I think it had a combo of coconut and honey in it.

| Just how much Hawaiian bread did you guys eat I wonder? Maybe you forgot you were already drunk and ate a bunch of it? LOL Or did it happen to have little green dots of fur all over it?

| On a side note, I took a tablespoon of CO straight this morning, and I think it made me sick. I will stick to putting it IN stuff instead of taking it straight like how I give it to Uni. It was like eating a spoonful of shortening. I had hoped it would be more sweet like butter, I have no problem eating a pat of butter by itself. Anyway, it made my tummy feel strange, however, after I ate a very small breakfast, I'm just know getting hungry and it is almost 4:30pm. btw if anyone wants any recipes, just let me know and I will post some from the CO book. Just let me know if you are looking for main course, sauce, veggie dish, etc and I'll see what's in there. There's over 80 recipes I think.

| Yeah I guess I shouldn't have taken it on an empty stomach. Perhaps I should give Uni hers after her first meal.

| I gave Betty Boop a bath today and used only 1/4 tsp. in a quart of water (warmed). I dried her completely. She still has that greasy kid stuff look. She doesn't look as shiny as when I use the IOD conditioner. Am I doing something wrong??

We hadn't eaten anything all day and we were both starving...they were sooooooooooo good at the time.... but shortly thereafter we were both sickly disgusted. LOL!!!! We still get queasy when we think about it....and could not eat anything with macadamia nuts in it, for a long time. I probably could, now but I still don't think he can. | |

My brother and I have the same reaction when we see Hawaiian bread -- we get queasy -- and it was over 20 years ago. We still laugh about it.

Did you see the recipes on their site: Coconut Recipes - Free Recipes Using Gluten Free Coconut Flour, Coconut Oil, & more They're on facebook too. I put it on my dogs' food, stir it in a bit and they love it. (I started them off slow too!)

So are you taking 1 tsp orally without mixing it in anything? I find the book isn't very clear about HOW people are taking it or using it if they are not cooking with it for recipes from scratch. I'm scared to add it to my regular diet which has plenty of polyunsaturated fats and end up gaining more weight!
