I never made it to her house to visit the yorkies, and thankfully I found my baby from a great breeder, but someone should do something to let people know about this woman! My boyfriend kept saying how great she sounded and looked on paper, that had we actually gone to visit her we probably would have bought one from her! to think what could have happened! Thank you for posting this info on this website, thats probably a huge step in the right direction!
EXACTLY right, she is LOVELY....both on the phone and when you arrive at her beautifully decorated home. BUT....that does not mean a thing regarding the puppies. They are kept in the basement. She brings up one at a time. She told me on the phone the evening before we took this long drive up there that she owned and had available on site both the sire and dam. Neither were there when we arrived. All she had was a supposedly "Aunt" Yorkie and "Grandmother" Yorkie....
All I can add is SAVE YOURSELF SOME POSSIBLE GRIEF AND BEWARE !!!

Sounds like she is doing pretty well at it, too.

RIGHT...and the best thing we can do is to keep this thread alive so members searching can be warned and proceed at their own RISK !

WOW I think my eyes bugged out of my head when I read these posts!!!! I LIVE in Sutton MA and went to her house 2 yrs ago when I was looking for a yorkie pup. It happened just like some of you said. Great personallity on the phone, like I was going to the BEST place EVER! I got there....gorgeous home....she had ALL kinds of photos on her counter top of these gorgeous dogs that were supposed to be related to all hers....She only brought up on dog at a time, but had her really pretty little one upstairs that she owned. The first one she brought up was older and kinda big(no big deal) but it had some kind of disease in its eyes and they were all runny. I told her I would like to see another, and she brought that one back down and about 5 min. later came up with another that also looked sickly....I think I saw three that night and they were all $3,000.00 or more!!!!!!! I said, thanks but no thanks. Ya know I didnt really know about dogs at all at this point because I had never really owned one, I had only been searching on line and stuff, but I just knew something wasnt right. Like why wasnt she letting me and my daughter go downstairs to see all of them, and why did it take her soooooooooooo long each time she went down to get one. And of course the fact that they really didnt look like any of the cute little healthy pups I saw online, or any of the beautys that she had pictures of. About a month later I got Louie from somewhere else around here and he is just so healthy and perfect. Then a yr later I got Bella from the same place....I feel like sending her pics of them and saying, "hey I went to see your pups, who were very sickly looking for $3,000.00 and I got mine for $1500.00 and they are VERY healthy!

Omg WOW... I wish I had known....

Wow... I can't believe what I just read... I feel like such a schmuck!

I lost a baby this summer... We were travelling and our petsitter lost my girl... I was devastated any shorty after began looking for a breeder. We found Denise's website and got suckered into 3K for my new baby Emmie! I have to say I didn't get the 'no papers thing' but I didn't care so it was all good. Fortunately, I have a gorgeous girl and had minor problems when she came home... typical puppy worms... Other than that she has been a love and very different from puppies I have had in the past. She is not yappy... she has been a breeze to train and as mentoined she is gorgeous... Maybe I got lucky and got a 'home bred' pup...

Either way I feel bad that I contributed to her scam... I had never bought a dog from a breeder and didn't know what to look for. My older boy came from a pet store (I know... bad choice as well... but he is the best!!!)... and recently we adopted a stray little girl who is the love of our lives!

I don't know whether we will be looking again any time soon but I will be sure not to recommend this breeder.... Thanks for the info!!!

That is the bottom line.....BAD....my poor baby is healthy now but timid and traumatized for life. We had to keep her isolated for 2 weeks while the medicine the vet gave her cleared up most of her problems....poor little tiny baby.

Well Kendyla I am very glad to hear you were lucky with your baby and that she is fine. It is scary to hear these things after the fact, but how were you to know. So thankfuly you did ok.
However, There is no such general thing as typical puppy worms" either....that is total neglect. Any good breeder has mother and pups wormed before the babies are sold....it is not a given that puppies have worms.

Enjoy your baby ....she sounds lovely....

Big thanks for the heads up on this. I looked at the pics of her pups and I could not figure out how a knowledgable breeder could end up with so many floppy ear yorkies. No offense to floppy ear yorkies, as our first yorkie had a single flopped ear. But my bigger concern is the backround and health of the dogs.

Default Thanks for the info!

Hi there-

I am looking to buy and that was one of the breeders I had on my list. I have never used a breeder before, so I am looking for advice. I too live in the Worcester area- what breeders do you recommend? I joined this chat room in hopes to find out where other Yorkie "parents" are since I anticipate I will have many ongoing questions. Please bear with me!

Thanks-
Ro

There are several responsible breeders located in Connecticut and NY that I know of so if you are willing to drive down you might want to contact them.
PM me is you need some information . Good Luck

Some so sick they either died or required Liver Shunt surgery to maintain their life.

I'm told that most of the dogs she sells are bought from what can be described as Puppymill dogs. She doesn't disclose that she's not the breeder and she doesn't give any AKC registration papers since these dogs are not AKC registered. I'm also informed she only accepts CASH and there is no formal written health guaranty.

A WORD TO THE WISE!!!!!
Thank god there is people like you. I was considering this lady when looking for my second yorkie.....luckily I could not afford a $3000 puppy
I was just surfing the web and found this same lady now selling Daschund--on her website she is advertising the same load of .....
I wish there is web for people who love this breed so we can spread the word

When I started researching small breeds and decided on a yorkie--I found her site.

I actually got a gut feeling after looking through it.

Everything was too pretty, too staged, too everything.

Guess my gut was right--------
