| We did buy our puppy from Denise and fortunately he is wonderful. I do feel like a fool and feel totally betrayed. What's worse is that when we have traveled we have brought the dog back to her to take care of him. How stupid are we? Got an uneasy feeling from her but fell in love with the dog. He has been very healthy and beautiful. We must have gotten lucky, but I also recommended her to someone else who bought a dog. Thank God I found your site. |

| Obviously not every dog Denise sells is sick but the problem is she sells a lot of dogs that are sick and she won't acknowledge that or where she gets her dogs from. She doesn't give AKC papers because most of her pups are NOT AKC registered or bred by her. Even if they were AKC registered, the papers would indicate who the breeder was, where the breeder was located, and it would show she wasn't the breeder. Incidentally, there are over 15 other pet registries here in the U.S.A and other than the AKC all the others are bogus and their papers aren't worth the paper they're written on. These other pet registries are set up by disreputable breeders in order to give papers that look official. Deceptive to say the least! I would be very careful who is left to care for your male dog when you're away, especially if he has not been neutered. He could be used for breeding purposes without your knowledge. Using a male for breeding has consequences: Using your male at stud will 1) make him forever start to mark your furniture and anything else he can to attract the females 2) make him impossible to house break 3) make his urine very stinky 4) make it necessary for you to keep him confined or in diapers because of the marking 5) cause the possibility of VD, Brucellosis and other infections 6) increase the risk of testicular cancer from not being neutered As a stud dog, you have to be content to know that housebreaking is never going to be the same. | Our dog has been neutered and never got sick at her home. Obviously we would never go near her again. It's amazing what a great bs artist she is as she even sold Boston Magazine a bill of goods. How sick!! |

| Glad to see this post is still alive! Hello, its been almost a year since I bought my puppy from Denise, and it was about a month after I bought her that I had found this post-- and got sick to my stomach! I'm happy to report that so far, she is doing well, and I'm just hoping that I got lucky. They did find a slight heart murmur, and I had an ultrasound done before I spayed her. The vet said for now, it appears not to be serious but they will continue to monitor...again, feeling a bit lucky. I head to the vet for her annual check-up in a couple weeks, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is still well. For those of you that have said you feel like fools, I know that feeling. The good news is, someone asked me for a yorkie breeder, and with a smile I told them who to stay away from! |

| Bad Yorkie Seller Ive been reading these posts for a bit. I just have to tell you that months ago I called Denise Ronayne. I had seen her site and was impressed. She called me back and i made plans to go to Sutton, MA but before i called her the second time I ran across this thread and read the posts. You all did stop this person from getting shafted. Thanks to you all. Maineyorkiemom |

| I am not the originator of this thread but would be happy to move it and post as you suggest to main breeder thread - I just don't know how to move a thread. I know the person who originated this thread is most likely not online this week - so would be glad to help. Please let me know how to do this. Thanks. Leslie |

| Country Home Yorkies Hi .. I just saw an ad for Country Home Yorkies on YT. Her website is so lovely, I am hoping it doesn't convince any new YT members to give her a call. Anna http://www.dogster.com/dogs/511397 |

| many "almosts" I'm sure I think with every new puppy search in this area, we run across Countryside. I have a strong rule not to ever buy from a puppy mill, resell, or pet store. I just brought home my Yorkie baby a few weeks ago. I had researched and searched for weeks. I lucked out and found a puppy from a home who had both parents from completely different lines. I could tell he loved his dogs and both parents were sweet dogs. I really liked seeing the puppy in a loving human family as well as dog family. Unfortunately, people do not do research and give in to the "gotta have it now" emotion and do buy from these places (or just don't realize). Thank you for publicizing this aweful place. I too researched on Yorkietalk before I found my baby. I also heard about this breeder who overcharged and bred major health problems very close to me. She brags about her puppies "bear" faces and the clebrities of the Boston area who own her dogs. I didn't like her when I spoke to her on the phone. I could tell it was a real business to her. Thanks again for the info... Last edited by cooperk; 02-26-2008 at 06:50 AM. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Countryhome Yorkies Thank you Cooperk for updating this thread...The only thing we can do in the hopes of helping other Yorkie buyers is keep these type of threads alive and hope People will research before buying ! I do not think any of us buyers care about her lovely country home...what we care about is the health and good breeding practices for our Yorkies !

| Cuontryside What I'm asking from anyone that bought a Yorkie, pug, or dascshunt from Denise and has registration papers for their dog, please contact me directly at satman@inbox.com. There are several agencies interested in her sales practices and where the puppies are coming from. The AKC papers should indicate the actual sire, dam, and breeder. Quote:
