| I'm in Oklahoma, NY would be too far. Although my husband is from Long Island, and has family there. . . Lol, I'd be willing to drive 10 hrs any direction. . .

| What about if we find a camping resort that offers cabins and tenting sites? Dog-friendly campgrounds tend to have dog-runs where we can let them play off-leash. Somewhere where there is also a hotel/motel nearby so those who want to can stay indoors too! But if we reserve 'group' space at a campground we can organize all kinds of games, etc! Doesn't that sound like fun? I'd be willing to drive about 10 hours too, but prefer not to fly with my baby. So Chicago works for me! That's about an 8-9 hour drive I think. |

Theme is also open to ideas i don't think that vendors should have to pay for a booth.. we are NOT trying to make a profit.. jsut cover the costs... so we'd only be asking the money to cover what it costs to rent a place... but we can deal with that once we have decided where this is going to all take place... we still need more of an idea about TWO- east/west or ONE- central... | |

| Ok how about we narrow it down to 4 major cities? I googled and this is what I come up with for the top 10 from 2005... New York, N.Y. 8,143,197 8,008,278 7,322,564 685,714 9.4 1 1 1 Los Angeles, Calif. 3,844,829 3,694,820 3,485,398 209,422 6.0 2 2 2 Chicago, Ill. 2,842,518 2,896,016 2,783,726 112,290 4.0 3 3 3 Houston, Tex. 2,016,582 1,953,631 1,630,553 323,078 19.8 4 4 4 Philadelphia, Pa. 1,463,281 1,517,550 1,585,577 –68,027 –4.3 5 5 5 Phoenix, Ariz. 1,461,575 1,321,045 983,403 337,642 34.3 10 6 6 San Antonio, Tex. 1,256,509 1,144,646 935,933 208,713 22.3 9 9 7 San Diego, Calif. 1,255,540 1,223,400 1,110,549 112,851 10.2 6 7 8 Dallas, Tex. 1,213,825 1,188,580 1,006,877 181,703 18.0 8 8 9 San Jose, Calif. 912,332 894,943 782,248 112,695 14.4 11 11 10 Edited to add... then if we narrow it down to 4 cities maybe someone in those cities will volunteer to call around and find out whats offered, etc

| thanks for all that work.. i'm not sure if it is a bit early to be deciding all this tho... i posted a poll... and if we can figure out if most people want one or two locations... we can go from there i want to make sure this thread exists for a few weeks at least before we start making decisions without everyone having a say... so if we could jsut stick to the choice of one or two right now until we have had this thread around for a month or so.. i think it woule be the best way to get the most people to come Thanks again tho for your enthusiasm!!! |

| Yeah, Illinois' a good choice...right about in the middle. And I'd love to be able to go, but it would have to be within driving distance...Funny this came up, I was just talking to my hubby about the Michigan Fair, saying it was a great idea...why can't we have something like that here? So I vote Illinois!!! Now I have to go back and read all the posts...
