| NYC would be fun, but I know whatever we could do there would mostly likely be expensive. Kellie - if we decide on a different area hopefully other YTer's from your neighborhood would come so if you drove or flew it wouldn't have to be alone............. Let's hear from those who have great dog parks and if there are buildings at the dog parks. I know there are tons in California. Where else are they???? I'm also thinking that if we stick to a major city (like Chicago), flights are more reasonable as well...........

| How about Chicago in the spring or early fall? Too hot & humid for summer. Then of course there's always here...LAS VEGAS And we'll find a way to get Villette there!!!

| Check out where the best voted dog park in 2007 was located. Right here in my back yard! Is there a better place on earth beisdes Las Vegas in the winter/ spring or fall than the Phoenix area? http://www.dogchannel.com/dog-magazi...ners-2007.aspx

| WOW - this sounds like a great idea!! I live in central NY but would be willing to travel to attend this event. I agree that pre-Memorial day would probably be best for most folks and wouldn't affect Summer vacation plans. Perhaps a fairly large city would be good so that we could fly there if it was too far to drive. Holiday Inns are also very pet friendly - Sadie and I recently stayed at the one in Toronto - but they only had THREE pet friendly rooms - so this would have to be worked out with hotel in advance. I'm SO excited - and I'd just love to meet all of you guys in person with our little furbabies!!! TEXAS WOULD BE FUN!!!

| ya that was the one thing i was going to say about "pre memorial day" .. i was thinking late june or late august.... but i'm good to go anywhere at anytime.. so let's keep hearing suggestions... Chicago is sounding good... and i love that the #1 dog park is in Arizona.. but i have family there and it is CRAZY hot... so let's try somewhere else and no matter where it is... we'll Get Villette there... we have a year to figure it out V |

No Longer a Member | I'm in California. None of the dog parks I've been to have indoors. I would be willing to travel to something like this. I've got a few things I could make and bring too Sounds like a lot of fun. |

| I would LOVE to come to a meetup! I can't fly with both monkeys by myself though so we would have to drive. I'm in upstate NY now but am hoping to have a new job by next summer so I don't know where I'll be. Everyone is welcome to come here and visit us anytime though |

| Save A Yorkie has rented a large room at the Sheraton for their annual Yorkie Day. They had to include dinner to get the room, but the whole affair is INDOORS. Maybe we could do something like that...the problem with dog parks is you never know who else will be there, and I, for one, have had bad experiences. edited to add: LOL, I just read this, sounds like the rented a large guest room...no, more like a banquet room!!!
