and do a poll!

We could do E/W on different dates, then those with the inclination, free time, and funds could always do both!

I didn't know what that meant either!!!

I like the idea of a huge event room at a pet-friendly hotel. I just know how expensive that can get and you always need to include their catering services when you do that. So folks would have to be willing to pay more. But - that would also allow for tables for vendors and a large meeting area. Once we determine a location we can find a local vet who is willing to come and do microchipping, a photographer for pictures and I'm sure there are lots of talented YTers who could do presentations on grooming, on showing, on agility (AlaskaYorkie). Oooooooh, the possibilities!!!!!!

And the YT train could be in full force. Those with RV's willing to driving and pick up folks along the way. Keep those thinking caps on and ideas coming...

I am game for any place that I can travel with Murphy and Mia. I live in Florida so I will be far from any place we pick I am sure. I would love to do this though and meet all of you I talk to daily.

Does it have to wait until nice summer?? Couldn't we have one in the fall? --I only say this, well, for one, I would hate to wait (hee,hee) and two, won't there be another Yorkie Fair held again next year too?

Okay, what about the central US? Like Tulsa, OK (there are tons of convention areas, dog friendly hotel, big city airport, etc) OR Springfield or St. Louis, MO....OR Dallas/Ft. Worth area (another big city airport, tons of hotels, etc).

Can we have vendors too......other vendors, not just YT, but still Yorkie (dog related)......

The $5 cover charge wouldn't be bad......would venders pay more for a booth?

What are you all thinking? One day (Saturday) w/ lunch or something?

I am sure there are plenty of hotels w/ a nice big meeting/convention area that we could rent and hopefully everyone that needs to can stay at the same hotel.

Regarding a theme....hummm.....the Hawaiian one looked fun, but maybe we could do a YT theme....or the PJ one sounds cute too. OR how about a "nude" party....oh wait, that wouldn't work for us humans...sorry!

In a convention center or banquet room the fee would probably be higher. But in banquet room it would include dinner.

What about checking into one of those dog camps. Do they rent out to private groups? Then we'd have accomodations, play area, vendor area, and more than just a one day thing.

If the hotel meeting rooms are too high (I have used them before, but can't remember)...how about a community center or church gym or something like that. OR maybe whatever city we decide on, we could get some local sponsers to donate a place??!!

Jodie what do you think about the East West?? do you think there should be one or two?? i'm just thinking like AlaskaYorkie would have to travel PRETTY far if we had it in say Chicago, but if someone held on in CA... might be more do-able for him... and i know i'd LOVE to meet Kimberly who works SO hard for us.. but asking her to come all the way to like nebraska (which is central) is a bit much.. i dunno.. just throwing out ideas..
