I think there is a misconception that the type of tags on YT affect search results in engines like Google. They do not do this. YT is an active and large forum and naturally ranks high in search engine results for keywords and phrases written in posts, title, and signature lines. |
There are some wonderful members here on YT. I am so blessed to know many of you. So I want to share something on a positive note. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...bers-read.html This really is a great place to be a member of. There are caring, compassionate people who I am so glad I now know. |

I encourage everyone to post and personally enjoy the new members. No one on here is intentionally mean, the most part I see members welcoming new people. I love watching the new puppies grow into adults. I am always happy when I see the shenanigans the new little guys are pulling on their parents. |
Wow....How ironic I am new this year to YT and I try to read a lot of threads that I am interested in. Last night I was on a thread where I could not believe what I was reading. This person was looking for help regarding a bad situation and there were some members that were basically attacking that person and I believe that person has not returned to YT. I understand that people do not agree with what other people may do with their animals or life however, we do not have control over what they do or not do. Therefore, belittling them is not going to help them or make the issue any better. If you can't help them or say something nice then you are better off not saying anything at all. I must admit that the story was disturbing to me about that person's dog however, they needed to take care of another issue and members were chastising them still about the death of their dog and the unfortunate situation they got themselves in to. I must admit I cried for that dog and had I been in my younger years I probably would have written something not so nice. However, as we age and experience life we learn what not to do/or do. All....we are not perfect and we are only human. You have to remember that what may be common sense to you is not so much common sense to others. It can be frustrating at times but just hope that there won't be a next time with that person making the same mistakes. I also thought last night...darn if I have an issue I would think twice about posting for help because of other people's mean comments/posts. Ok...I'm done and I will get off my soapbox now. Have a great day all! ;) |

Sticky the Thread I think it would be a good idea to sticky this thread once closed. Just to give a friendly reminder and let new members see that the forum has gone through some ups and downs and how we've overcome them. |

We cannot assume that people don't return just because a person was "mean" to them. Many people come here just to start nonsense....not all, and it is not a reason for people to be rude. Just saying that it is not always the reason people don't return. I have seen plenty of people come here and be welcomed with open arms....they get what they came for and they don't return. I don't assume they left for any particular reason. They simply left. But, as for people saying that so and so left because someone was rude, I have to say yet again, REPORT |

This thread was addressed about a week after the posts I had read. Whether it was done because it was reported...I don't know. The reason why I said that the person has not returned was because nobody answered their needed question (at least not on the forum...they may have pm them) and the fact that there are no updates or any other posts from that person. I'm just assuming and you know what happens when you assume :) |

I really was not answering your post by the way. :) It was more for Matese but anyone could benefit from it. It does no good to complain after the fact...best to simply report it immediately. Yeah, I try not to assume...but I do it as well and yes I am one at times. :D |
I am a strong person, bull headed and quit frankly I don't take no bullsh** from anyone but I must admit that I have been brought to tears on several occasions throughout the years by rude, insensitive and down right just mean people here on YT. As a somewhat seasoned YTer and by that I mean I have been there done that, been spoken to in the most rude manner, been called horrible names but am still here. I managed to get through it with my dignity and self respect in tack. That being said . . YT is a community of so many different types that when I came here and made it through the gauntless sort of speak I find that you really do need to be respectful of everyone here regardless of how they state their views, what they may think of you and the way they go a bout stating their opinions. Sometimes people can be rather harsh and down right mean but even me being the type of hard ass that I am in my every day life I handle things differently here. If you don't ... you will loose it... Sometime I just want to rip someone a new one but of course I don't. Not to say that I am being fake because I'm not . . I would say that I am being Respectful and I expect that same level of respect in return. I just hope that after this umpteenth friendly reminder from our good friend and monitor Ann that everyone here new & old alike can start fresh and take to heart what Ann and this conversation has been about . Truthfully, I don't have much faith that this will make much of a difference. I think that this is just another thread that will be lost in the shuffle and wont make a dent in the way people post here. But I do hope that I am wrong. Plain and simple "Treat others as you wish to be Treaded". If you cant say anything nice than don't say anything at all and in my own opinion if you don't have cold hard facts you need to keep your opinions of other members to yourself. |
Honestly, if I do something to harm an animal, I hope someone confronts me. There are many people who come here and do just that and expect people to love them. Not happening with me. I speak the truth and have no remorse whatsoever for anything I have said to anyone who wronged an animal. |

I for one am getting sick of the constant complaints. How about everyone start out being part of a solution instead of part of the problem? It takes two to tango. |

Saw this today and thought it might be applicable and perhaps might add to the quality of our community: https://gma.yahoo.com/video/man-goes...124559162.html |

I agree 100%. If we all read and follow the YT guidelines and heed our most esteemed Moderator, Ann's reminder to "Everyone Please Read: Going Forward, We Must Post With More Respect Toward Others" we would all be part of the solution rather than the problem. And adding my two bits.... What really bugs me is when a thread is taken off subject and becomes a private battleground for members with opposing ideas/views. And the battle goes on and on and on.... Continually repeating the same ole same ole in the SAME thread will not win the battle, it only serves to anger and cause discord among members. |

Just MHO....Have a great day! |

We all have our beliefs. I know exactly why the thread was started. I also know that it takes two to tango. I think if everyone would stop complaining it would be much nicer. That goes for BOTH sides in this as I believe the thread also was meant for. |

What a shame....I post something that could be a positive thing and it turns to more complaining and accusing of others. The problem imo is all of the finger pointing and I am pointing mine as such: :thumbdown |
