I give up on this whole thing now. None of it is making any sense on either side. I will pray this little dog finds a home where she will be loved and treated like she deserves to be. She needs to be rescued by someone who really cares about animals. Not bought or sold but rescued.

Nope, it does not look like the same dog to me either, the coloring, shape of the face is different. The aggresive behavior can be worked with, I saw it in an episode of its me or the dog. I wish you luck with the adjustments.

Well Jasmanea is no longer off so I don't think she is going to address any of the question in regards to whether or not she plans to get Emma back, have her spayed & find her a loving home.....

The ad that was additionally placed was also misleading as the same misleading picture was put up instead of the more "actual" picture of what Emma really looks like...that would have set up the potential new owner for the same disappointment as Gina...not good!

Anyway....all I wanna know is where is Emma now? Is she warm, happy? Is she given attention? Is she eating okay? Is she being exercised? I've been thinking about her..If I were close, I would foster her until all this can be sorted out. This is all so sad.... I'd help out any way I can.

Emma is sleeping in her bed. She had a bath yesterday and is warm, cozy and well fed. Just because she's not the right dog for my family doesn't mean she doesn't deserve the same love, warmth and comfort as I give Teiya. I want what is best for her and I'm an adult enough to admit that I'm not it.

Just so everyone understands, I WILL NOT ship Emma anywhere. Anyone interested in taking her in and giving her a happy home must come here and meet her for at least a few hours and get to know her... And sign a contract stating that if she didn't work out, they need to return her to me. I'll be woman enough to do for Emma what Jasmanea could not. I'm not so greedy that I would defraud people for a few bucks. Karma is a bitch.

I 100% agree with ALL of your posts after reading every response to this thread. I don't feel that the seller or buyer is innocent in this. It makes me so sad for Emma.. poor thing doesn't know what's going on and her temperament is not her fault

If everyone stopped thinking about money for 5 seconds and took into consideration the LIFE of this animal..I think this thread would have been done long before 23 pages.

Lucas and I send 1000000 smoochies for Emma.

Thank you for stepping up to the plate Gina! Someone had to do it.

I applaud everyone who has offered to help financially or with time. I know that admin said a few weeks ago that YT does not allow donation solicitations because of the possibility of fraud.

I want to do the right thing here while respecting the rules of YT. Assuming this cannot be worked out between the buyer and the seller, is there a way to move this off YT? My first thought is that someone with a website could set up a temporary page with a summary of the situation and someone like Wylie's Mom can handle the funds. Alternatively, if this is okay, maybe a seller could post "Emma shares" for sale and those interested can "buy" via Paypal.

Clearly there are a lot of "if"s here, but want to figure out a way people can help.

I don't have a dog-related website but I do have design website and I would be more than happy to dedicate and set up a temporary page to help Emma.

Placing everything aside, let's focus on what's best for Emma here.

Based on what you know and the pictures that you've seen (and I'll post more pictures tomorrow), what do you think a fair ADOPTION fee would be for her? If we're going to work towards getting this girl where she'll prosper, let's do that. Granted, I'm willing to take a slight financial loss in her best interest, but I can't afford an $1100 loss. Jasmanea is obviously not going to step up to the plate so someone has to.

In Avian Rescue, as director, I speak with potential applicants, do a home study and vet check and then present their case and facts to a committee and they vote on it. I don't vote. I remain neutral. I just present the applicants. Can we do the same here? Can we set up a committee and vote on where Emma is placed and who she is placed with?

Is there anyone else here in Utah that would be willing to help me screen applicants?

This is what Chelsy said when I asked if she also would be willing to try to find a new home for Emma.

I will not advertise her, but if I come across an interested client where she would fit and have a loving forever home, I would refer them to Gina. My original inentions where to get Emma out there so I could come up with some interested clients, and from there, it was up to Gina to follow through with everything and make sure that is was a good fit. Emma is not my dog, and I do not know her temperment, and because of this, I shouldn't have advertised her in the first place, but I know that at this point, finding Emma a forever home is the best thing to do, and I will do what I can to help. I just hope this can be resolved, and I really hope this hasn't tarnished my repuation. I love my dogs and my pups, and I do everything I can to be 100% honest and upfront, and it is so sad to me that everyone doesn't do business in this fashion. I also want everyone to know that this Emma has nothing to do with the puppy I have named Emma. My puppy Emma was born in January of this year, and I have found the most wonderful home for her. My four year old really likes the name Emma, so she named this pup Emma as well, but she has nothing to do with Gina's dog! Just to clarify Anyways, thanks for all your help, and I will see what I can do to help this poor little innocent dog.

Thanks!
Chelsy

As well as this when I asked she minded if I posted this on YT:

That is just fine, I appreciate it. I do not like to get into this stuff, but if you are willing to pass the message on and stick up for me, than thank you! What matters to me most is that my clients trust me and are happy with their pups, but I don't want this thread to deter any potential clients away from working with me. I would just hate to lose good homes for my babies because of this sad situation. Anyone who knows me know that I stand behind my dogs, but it takes meeting me and working with me first! Anyways, thanks again for all your help. You are wonderful!

I'm the one who sent you the original post about the ad on ksl I HONESTLY had no Idea that you had her post the same picture you were scammed with. I did not mean for Chelsey to be the blame she did not know she trusted you.
And just a reply to one post.... I am new to YT I did not fill out all of my profile info because honestly I was just here to learn not talk but then I got brave and I posted about my dogs ears that is how I saw the forum post.I hate people who scam and maybe I should have kept out of it, but it is just my personality to try to help everyone even if I am burned in the mean time And (maybe I am a freak) but I do look at KSL almost everyday if I am bored and I have 2 yorkies not 1. Emma (popular name I guess) and Sophie and 2 poodles. I am not "fishy" I just did not fill out all of my info because I knew these kind of bashing things go on on these groups and was realy going to keep quiet as I will now in the future.unless I see scams or anything going on to hurt the dogs that I just can not stay quiet for it's not in my nature!!
But in the end I am glad Emma will get a nice home! and gina thank you for sticking up for chelsey she is the inocent bystander REALY!!

It's not entirely about the money it's just a loss that I'm sure not many of us could afford to just 'brush-off' we're generous to a fault with rescue and we'd never turn our backs on an animal, person, or family in need.

I do however cringe at sending her back to the Seller. She isn't a good fit here but she doesn't deserve that either as she obviously has no intention of doing what is right for Emma.

If the good people of YT are willing to aid financially in the placement of Emma and assist us with offsetting our losses. The least that we can do is place her properly (and would regardless, but with the loss we couldn't do much more than find her a loving family and make back a portion of what we've lost. We'd never place her somewhere that wasn't a good fit just to get more money.) and involve everyone in the process who contributed to seeing this girl get where she needs to be.

Gina will get a hold of our vet tomorrow and find out what it will cost to get her spayed prior to placement. Though we have a pretty good idea of that cost since Teiya just recently went in for that very same thing and the only reason she hasn't had it done yet is because of her weight.

I do however believe that the seller should be banned from any further business transactions as a result of her complete unprofessionalism, deception, and disregard for the well being of Emma. This is definitely not the image of integirty that the YT community wants to be associated with nor portrayed as tolerable behavior. As we don't want to send the message for one moment that anyone can get away with something like this and if she does get away with it, there is nothing to stop other scammers from trying to make a quick buck thinking that it will blow over.

Well if the YT community is willing to help us offset our losses, the least that should happen is the YT community be involved in making sure Emma has the love, attention and stability she deserves.

I don't dislike Emma, but she's never going to be happy under these circumstances and since the seller doesn't care enough about her to ensure she gets this, it's up to us isn't it?

Chelsey is a wonderful, knowledgeable and caring person. If I wanted a puppy, I'd buy from her in a heartbeat as she stands behind her dogs. I haven't met many breeders with her integrity. She's honest and sincere.

I'm not dissapointed, I'm outraged. I will still pursue legal recourse for her actions even if the community is willing to help us out, but it's not something that will be resolved anytime soon. In the event that compensation is awarded I'd be happy to donate it to YTCA or a popular vote for an organizations rescue efforts.

My vote would be to donate to YT, it is expensive to run this awesome site.
The amount of wonderful yorkie things that happen here is unbelievable. No better place to support yorkies.
