Hi Dena, just checking on you and Nat again. I can just "hear" the despair as you write... I feel so for you. Your poor heart must be breaking. I can only imagine the stress you must be under at the moment.

Please know that we are all here for you, and I'm sure there are many,many prayers being said for Natalie. I will check back in the morning (my morning)
and see if you're awake. You should try to get some sleep to keep your strength up.

Great advise. I was going through something similar with one of my puppies a couple weeks ago. I knew that I had to hang on to the end and see it through. He just had too much life in him. One day he just told me that it was time and I took him in. You will know. You will feel it in your heart. I wish you all the best of luck and I am continuing to pray for you and your baby.

About how fast the lasix should start working. I only know about humans in this area and it works the same day usually. I would give the vet another call. Be on the safe side with this little one.

I'm sorry about your baby....

I don't get that from Natalie.... at least not yet...... whenever I pick her up (which I try not to do, as she seems to get anxious and breathing gets more labored - so I'm keeping her propped with a blanket to help her get air more easily) - but when I do pick her up... or bend down to whisper to her, she uses everything she has to lift her little head up and kiss my nose with that cold little bluish tongue....

It's an awful feeling reallly.... yet the most precious, at the same time..... so hard to explain.....................

OH, I called the vet back and she said the same.... should begin working almost immediately.... which I guess it is..... trouble is, evidently I took the "don't let her get dehydrated" to heart and have been putting in as much fluid as she's letting out... so.... I need to hold back a little more....

She is a sweetheart and she loves you so much. You are doing everything that you can for her. Have you heard back from the University Doctors yet? I feel for you and your sleepless nights. You need to get some rest for a little bit and see if someone else will keep an eye out for her.

I just read this whole heartbreaking thread and I hope Natalie recovers from this ordeal. Have you called any yorkie rescue groups I don't know if they could help financially or what but it may be worth a try
