| I understand Admin's position on this and think that it will help keep YT a safe, honest place as much as possible. I know that Natalie's situation is different, but it's hard to go back once you start allowing one situation over another .But on the upside, admin stated that anyone who wanted to donate to Natalie and Dena can do so at their own discretion, just not on the forum, so that's good to know! |

I'm certainly not here to judge the choice you felt you needed to make by putting your baby to sleep.... only you, he and God knew what was best for him..... and I know, sometimes, there is just nothing more that even "medical miracles" can provide. In answer to your question about Natalie's x-ray.... yes... it looked very much like the one you posted..... only her tiny heart is almost perfectly round.... so it is BOTH the left and right ventricles that are enlarged. It was mentioned that the x-rays are not conclusive as too many variables can come into play... (i.e., positioning of the animal, different "interferences" within the x-ray itself, etc.) Hense the need for more specialized testing. I've just heard back from one of Natalie's veterinarians and she is in the process of making referrals to both OSU and Texas A&M as I type.... (mainly because not knowing anything about either, I couldn't decide which to go with) - there are "pro's" and "con's" to both - - and the immediate concern is of course appointment availability and funding. Anyway.... this is where we are at the moment..... again, I apologize if my previous post to you seemed brash.... it was simply a spontanious reaction...

| I totally understand...and please note that the x-ray I posted was when he was first diagnosed. He lived for four months after he was diagnosed. Our vet said the only hope for Hank was a heart transplant and we were just not in the position to do that. I really hope and pray that the university's can offer you some solid hope and remedies for Natalie...beleive me, I know how much you love her...I have little Oscar now and can't imagine having to make a decision with him! Keep us posted. Huggs to you and Natalie!!!

| Medically, I have nothing to add that hasn't been mentioned previously, but as someone who has had to make some very difficult decisions regarding treatment for a furry friend, or family member.... just follow your heart.... It will never lead you down the wrong path. Prayers and hugs from all of us here.... |

| Does anyone know how quickly the Lasix should begin doing it's work? She's peeing, but not an insane amount as I expected she would be.... her tummy is still awfully distended, of course symptomatic of ascites, (the fluid filling her abdomen)... I just got off the phone with one of Nat's vets and should have asked but had so many other questions! Natalie has an appointment with OSU Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital for Tuesday.... it's going to be a longggggggg scary weekend.

| you and little Natalie are going through this. I will be praying for you two. The only advice I have to offer is to listen to your baby, she'll tell you when she's ready to stop fighting. |
