| I am so sorry to hear this about baby Natalie. After all the joy and excitement these last couple days have brought. She is truely a little angel and she is putting up a good fight. I hope and pray that you find someone who is a giving and loving of your time as you are. Keep your chin up. Things will get better. Sending Prayers from Alaska, Sharon Do you do the tube feeding (down into her stomach) or just by surange? I know that I had to tube feed Yoda for a while to get him to eat and it was a great way to get it into their tummy with little chance of asperating them if done right.

| I am so sorry Natalie isn't well yet. I was really hoping the good news of the past week would continue to bring more. I hope the vet school will have some answers and treatment for you. The only payment option I know of is Care Choices, but I do know you need to apply quickly with as much detail as you know and they turn down lots. Praying for little Natalie (and you).

What a wonderful, caring person you must be to have the worries that you do, but you do not forget to wish everyone a beautiful day. Thank you. God truly has picked a very kind and caring mother to care for baby Natalie. Just put your trust in God and he surely will take care of you both

| Ugh! Well, hopefully they'll be able to treat her medically with the Lasix and probably Digoxin for her heart. They really do work wonders and I know several dogs that are on them. Poor baby. I'll keep you both in my prayers! Quote:

| Oh my gosh!! Does this Science prescription a/d stuff not have any GLUCOSE in it???? <<shaking>> I am about to lose my mind!!! Well, we slept for a couple of hours.... and I'm GLAD it was only a couple of hours because if I'd have slept any longer, I don't even want to think about what I'd have found!!! At 2am I gave Natalie 12cc's of slightly diluted a/d and 6cc's of water - all via the syringe. At 4:30 am - - the same...... she had urinated several times due to the lasix so at 5am I gave her another 12cc's of water along with a good dose of nutri-cal. I laid her down in her bassinet in my room at 5:30 am - - - fell asleep - - and awoke at 8am to find her completely limp - warm - and unable to lift her head..... I picked her up and she went stiff - - then relaxed.... scared me to death................ she was hypoglycemic........... even after all I'd given her prior to laying her down!!!! It took 6cc's of immediate karo syrup and 6cc's of water to get her to where she could lift her head and sit half way up. An hour and a half later - - another 6cc's of glucose water.... and she is stabalized and trying to rest... but having coughing fits every 10 minutes or so............. Good Morning Everyone!!! <<sleepy sigh>>

| I just got off the phone with Texas A&M - - - they say that they have no openings for appointments until after Thanksgiving, but that they could see Natalie at any time through the ER Services on referral from her private veterinarian. With the 14 hour round trip to College Station, TX - the office visit, complete cardiac workup and the additional fee for "routing" through the ER Services, we're looking at around 1500.00 just for her very first visit in search of a definitive diagnosis of her condition.... of course they cannot give me any type of "ballpark" figure beyond that. I feel SO guilty for pulling money from everywhere, that we didn't have to begin with, in order to bring Gracie home.... not expecting Natalie to become so ill again................. but she pranced right into my heart the moment I saw her! The first thing my sister said was "send that dog back so you can pay to take care of Natalie!!"..... OMG!!! My room mate's father scolded us for not having Natalie "put down" - saying that "no one needs that kind of financial burden"............ OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!! What is WRONG with people??????? Yes, okay.... we were in a car accident back in March that totaled my vechicle - - and no, other than disability income and child support, there isn't a lot to go on.............. but how can they possibly expect someone to make those kinds of choices with their BABIES?????????? Sandy did say that she would always buy Gracie back if at any time it "didn't work out"..... but it's "working out" beautifully with her... she is SO happy here..... I'm at a loss right now.............. sorry for the rant...... Peaceful day to all.......

anyway, I think all of us YTers should come up with some sort of fund raiser for little Natalie. maybe an auction or sale for those of us that make and sell dog clothes and goods?? all proceeds go to natalie? anyone else have any sort of suggestions or think this could work? or everone donates even $1 or $2...if all of us did it, it would go a long way....lets try to do our best for this little sweet girl...
