Medical Procedures Question.... Natalie is sick again... :(

etc. etc?? I'd like to purchase a few things, but I'm not that savvy with this posting forum. Although I do know how to use my Paypal! lolol!!

I remember this website that someone posted on time that actually helps with your vet bills if you arent able to pay them (if you are approved)

it might be Care Credit. Hopefully wherever you take Natalie they accept this. Ask when you get there and be sure to fill it out and apply.

I just gave her all 3 of her meds - - mixed up a little baby rice cereal, with a tiny bit of the baby banana / yogurt juice, some Missing Link and a small bit of Nutri-Cal and fed 6cc to her about 30 minutes ago......

I'm holding off on the straight liquid for a bit - - she's peeing some and giving nose kisses............. still won't sit or stand on her own, but I'm PRAYING that once some of the fluid leaves her, she'll be breathing a little better and will gain some "spunk"....

The University does have a program like that.... but with the divorce and car accident - the credit is pretty much a bust.... so we wouldn't qualify.

could you get someone to co-sign for you? a parent, sibling, or friend? alot of times if you do this you will get approved.

Maybe, but even for family & friends, that's an awful lot to put on one person.... her bills are likely to reach into the thousands and I couldn't ask anyone to take on that burden....

A little here and a little there, may be one thing.... but to commit to something like that is a different story....

We'll be okay.... good things are happening and we have a very strong faith in God and the good will in the hearts of others!!

Aaaaah..... at least she has the energy for nose kisses. The rest will come later.
I think that 6 cc's at a time is great, it goes towards keeping her sugar levels up. What's important is that she keeps it down, without throwing anything up. Keep examining the blanket around her, to make sure she is not puking.
Is there someone to help you watch her tonight so that you can get a little sleep? I wish there was a YT member that lived close enough to you, to give you some relief.

If you are not qualify for Care Credit, would the facility that sees her Tuesday, allow you to pay in installments?? Hot sales are already underway by the deeeevine Sonja and Sharon, so that will help you a bit.

She does very well keeping her food and liquids down... no vomiting.... from time to time she gets to coughing so hard that she "dry heaves" but no throwing up at all..... THANK GOD!!!

Don't worry about me.... I'll rest sometime tonight.... my room mate and the kids are here, but after what I woke up to this morning, I just think I'll try to stay awake with her as long as humanly possible!

As far as payment arrangements w/ the University.... there are none.... everything has to be paid in full at the time of service. Tuesday will be an initial evaluation and they'll work up a "plan of action" - - Depending on what funds we can raise, that will determine what tests can be run on that day.... worse case scenario is that she has the preliminary evaluations done and they give us some "tips" on how to care for her until we can come up with necessary funds to proceed with testing....

A cardio work up is essential... but expensive..... that's what we're shooting for to have completed on Tuesday though! We'll just have to see!

this is not really close to you,but it could be farther. The University of Missouri has a wonderful Vet school! It is in Columbia, Mo. Maybe you could contact them and see what they say!
And you might find something closer to you!
