Thank you ! I was fighting that extra 20 for 2 years now so I know how hard it can be to do it without starving - but I really am hooked on melon (if in season) because it is SO filling - I went 3 weeks with no real food after my husband died cause I couldn't swallow - but the melon really saved me and now I have some everyday even though I can eat now ps - I hope Sweet N Low is safe - I use it in my coffee every morning

I love melon so that might help during my 8-11pm munchie cravings...I'm trying to lose that last 7-10 pounds (lost 35 already) so just trying to get that little extra cushion before the holidays if I can. PS: we are going through Spy Girl adventures withdrawals.

				 | I have been overweight my whole life, in the past 10 months I am proud to say I have lost 58 pounds, I started at 196 which I have been at that weight since I was in my teens and now am only 138, I can't remember ever being in the 130's not even as a pre-teen. I was finally tired of feeling like crap all the time and gave myself a good kick in the behind. It was rough and keeping it off is even tougher but I forbid to work this hard and to put it back on. I just ate alot of fruits and veggies up to about 10 a day, cut out alot of sweets (I do treat myself to very SMALL portions still) drank lots of water and exercise, I hate it but I found something I really enjoy doing and I was doing it my whole life but not on a daily basis, dancing, just like I would do if I were out to a club, and the weight just fell off, every day for about 20 minutes and crunches. My doctor cannot believe it, he called me his poster child because he always knew me as being overweight. I do have a few recipes that I used to get me along, when I get a chance I will post them. Right now, I have to log off, get my butt off the couch, and do my workout, good luck to everyone. |

Val, I just want to congratulate you on your accomplishment. You have the right attitude. I hope you get where you want to be. Your right, dancing is a great way to drop the pounds. Since I stopped clubbing 10yrs ago that's exactally the 12lbs I've been hauling around. It's something to think about. Wonder how my downstair neighbor will react if I start boogieing in the living room.

| Therapy Dog Donating Member | Val - you go girl....how awesome for you and please post those recipes when you get a chance....I'm always looking for new ones to help me along. OK - has anyone heard of or has done Zumba classes since we are talking about dancing? Our local Y is offering Zumba classes and want to get more info on what it is exactly.

				 | LOL...i'm soooooo hungry right now. I have to wait until the dr. gets here...because I will be weighed and I dont' need anything to tip the scales i went and bought some fiber and calcium vitamins. I think those are 2 of the biggest things I am missing in my diet. I HATE milk. and am scared of cheese because it is so fattening. and yogurt makes me want to gag...so i figure maybe i should take some calcium supplements daily. and i have IBS so I really do need the extra fiber boosts. plus I have been reading how good fiber is for you and I need all I can get, IMO. so I got some of that too. we will see how it goes over the next few weeks with me taking these regularly.

				 | Weight In? Hi, Well, I weight in at 161 with my clothes on this morning. I know some of you said you were not going to post your weight, but I think this will help keep me honest. I made brownies the other day with my children, so I have to stay away from them. I am going to exercise this morning...all my mom chores are done for the morning. I can get in a size 10 -12. Honestly sometimes the 10 are a little tight. I really don't see myself as F A T in the mirror. When it comes to photographs though UGH! I sometimes think Who is that? OMG it is me! Do I really look like that? I ate breakfast, and had two cups of coffee. One teaspoon of Sugar in the raw. Okay, here are my nasty little stats. We can do this...I will check back in this evening. |

I have had a peach this morning and LOTS of water. I am waiting for the dr to get here and leave so I can have some lunch...and I think I will go to the store and get some broccoli and have steamed broccoli for lunch. sounds good to me I will add some protein in there somehow..just not sure how yet I am going to go and do some crunches real quick. Hopefully my goal will get reached at some time in the near future LOL

Try Viactive for calcium.( I always say Viagra). The pills don't desolve in the stomach. Viactive comes in several different chews. Caramel, chocolate and vanilla I think. Chew a couple a day. They desolve and are good for you. They come in a box of 30 or 90. My doc told me about these a couple of years ago and i have been using them since. NOt sure what the calorie count is but you do need calcium. I love cheese. That's a big problem for me. Probably why my cholestrol is up.
