| I had lost 17 lbs using slimfast and going to the gym. BUT then I got the kidney stones and I was in too much pain to work out, so I missed the gym alot. Since I was already not feeling well, I stopped worrying about what I ate. I had gained back 5 of the lbs but I had got those pounds back off. My mom gave me a couple bottles of relacore. I called my doctor and I was told it was ok to use it. In fact they said with the kidney issues, its best for me to lose weight and that will help. I have now lost a total of 20 lbs. I started out 181 lbs and now I am 161. My goal is between 115-120 lbs, not sure exactly what weight yet, figured I will decide more as I get down more. I was a size 14 before, now I can get my size 9 capri's on and buttoned. They are tight but they were able to be buttoned and zipped so that is progress. i went from buying large and x large but now I am mostly buying mediums. I still have quite abit to lose, but I am not stressing about it right now since I can't do alot until I am healed. Once I am all healed, I will be back at my gym 3 times a week.

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I reccomend Pilates! They're kind of expensive (I get them for free because we do them in school), but they are SO good for the body and mind. I really do need to work out more.

| hubby swears by pilates. he did them a lot (before he met me LOL) and thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread. Maybe I should get into that...I keep hearing a lot about it. I have done the video a few times and each time, I wake up the next morning feeling really good (really sore...but that is good LOL)

You should try it - it's fun - the time goes fast - and it does work! I am on a reformer at a studio and in the beginning I was going 2x a week but it got so expensive so I cut down to 1x week on a reformer and 1x week mat at our local Y. To give you example of cost: I get 10 reformer classes at this studio for $300 ($40 a class) - if you go single it's $50 I wish I could afford it for every day - it feels so good and great for my back pain. I can't believe what it's done for my posture in toning my entire body. The local YMCA is $40 a month for unlimited use of anything at the Y - so that is a good deal - that's also where I do my rebound class 2x week. Have a great day everyone - eat healthy -

| I'm in too, I have to go get a scale today. What is a good accurate one, anyone? I have been trying to watch what I eat the last week. My pants have been getting so tight they hurt ariubfd the waist. I thing I'm a binge eater. I can't just eat two or three cookies ,it's more like 7 or 6. Half a bad of chips. So I have been controlling that. I'm also a night eater, and cheated last night and had a bowl of cereal. I think the key is not to deprive yourself too much and not cut things out al at once. I was using sweet and low but my heart was skipping beats (long history with skipped heart beats)for about a week after I started so I thought maybe it was the artificial sweetner so I cut it out and they stopped I will reintroduce to see if it truly was that. I actually got the tape measure out last night and meaured my backside and waist ...oh my god! I was shocked and the reading and between you and me Tape measures don't lie. |

Don't trust Splenda either! I switched from S&L after, are you ready for this, 15yrs. Not dead yet. LOL Splenda came on the market as Natural because it's made from sugar without the calories. Dumb me fell for it. I was experiencing joint and chest pains. At times they were really bad but I ignored them because I was in good health and just thought it was age and arthirtis(s). After reading an article that BRENY posted about Splenda I did some research. Yes, joint pain is a side effect. I stopped and all the pain left. I mean ALL. Splenda is poison and worse than S&L. So just give yourself a once over. Are you experiencing any pain anywhere? I went back to S&L and use it sparingly. If it's not natural don't trus it. | |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I had to add something to this thread - since I lost my husband - the weight fell off but I found eating lots of melon and apples really fills you up - When I couldn't eat after he died - I would have 1/2 a melon at night and get super full - |
