| Ann, there is this book, Tesla, Man out of time, that talks all about Tesla and his career and dealing w Edison. But if you don't want to read that, just read The Oatmeal's comic about it. Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived - The Oatmeal I read the comic first and it got me interested in Tesla. It's all in the book. Just not as funny.

I like think of Tesla being like David Bowie, who played him in the movie The Prestige.

| I just watched The Labyrinth again the other night. I remember suggesting it as a movie to watch in middle school for movie day. That pretty much sealed my fate as an out cast for life. Lol

| We scored yesterday! We got this little bird cage for $15. It's from the same lady we got a beautiful dresser from. I'll post pics of that later bc it's still downstairs and haven't set it up yet and it's super heavy. I'm going to paint the bird house. P1080716.JPG And this brass lamp from the antique mall for $40. A little high, but I loved it. I will also use the Rub N Buff on this to patina it. P1080717.jpg I like how you can adjust the height. | Got 5 of these panels from the Habitat for Humanity store. They were $15 each but extra 15% off since it was President's Day. Thinking I will use these to change out the gross white sliding closet doors and make it fold out instead of slide. If that doesn't work than will make it into a screen. P1080719.jpg These cool zodiac signs from the early 70s it looks like by the style. These were $4 each. P1080726.JPG Found this leather ottoman at a thrift shop for $25! We looked on Wayfair and this exact one for new is over $1200. We need to get leather cleaner and spruce it up a bit. We really needed something in the living room. We had a tiny coffee table here and it wasn't working. Also got a tea cart from 1918 that I need to take pics of, and the dresser when we get it upstairs. Gotta move it up to the 3rd floor and it's super heavy! P1080727.jpg

| Love the leather ottoman! I was planning on going to our antique mall this weekend it''s been so long since I've been there. I'm in need of a couple of items, I hope I find some deals.

We scored some more stuff yesterday too. A leather couch that could be matched with traditional or modern. Very comfy. The lady that sold it had a lot of stuff that was similar to our style. Like she had a real antique drafting table, where mine is a reproduction. The couch was originally like $3000 and she gave it to use for $125. You can tell it's expensive bc the brads/nails on it are the single kind. We have a lot of the cheaper stuff where the nails come in a roll, and it's the cheating kind, where you nail it on in a few places like if it were ribbon, if that makes sense. This couch and the ottoman both have the individual brads. Then we scored a Victorian love seat and chair reproduction. It's so pretty. I am going to reupholster it bc it's ripped in several places. I'll get pics of a before and later an after. This pair we may end up selling it but we'll see. Those we got for $100 for the set.

| We moved the dresser up one floor today and one more to go tomorrow and I promise pics to follow. The leather couch is in place and we almost didn't get it in. The smallest width of the couch was the EXACT measurement of the width between the walls going up the stairs. Thank you physics! We got a nice full length mirror today for $30. That went in our closet. Pics of that later also. Promise.

When moving that couch, did you "pivot, Pivot, PIVOT!!" -- (where is that from, does anyone remember it? )?

| Friends? No I didn't. Usually I say it's not going to fit! And bf says I'll make it fit! Dresser is in place! It wasn't too big for the stairs, just really really heavy. I'll post pics after breakfast. I've had so many projects going on lately.

| The Victorian repro chair and love seat. Uni looks huge on this chair! P1080732.jpg You can see the fabric is ripped in several places, and also on the back. P1080741.JPG This is the leather couch. SO comfy! It barely barely fit going up the stairs. Have to repaint the walls they got all scratched up. P1080740.JPG
