| Hey are you girls eating quinoa at all? I usually have it as a salad with corn and tomatoes, but I recently had it hot as a rice substitute and it was actually very good and satisfying! Kinda like brown rice I guess. Last time I over cooked a bit so it was a tad mushy. I like it with a bit of chew. I will try again maybe tonight.

| This is interesting.... I'm not sure about the artificial sweetener though. I wonder if it can be omitted. Carb Free Cloud Bread Recipe - Food.com - 411501

| With my gym membership, I can go to any LA Fitness in CA. So I decided to try a different one in another city that is about the same driving distance. OMG what a difference. All the cario equipment had tv's attaced to them. I got such a good workout I was drenched with sweat because I was busy watching some show while I worked out for 45 minutes. Everything there is up to date and they have way better equipment. Def using that gym for now on. |

I went to a dumpy Bally's gym for over 25 years it was very close to the house and I knew EVERYONE so that made it like I was visiting with friends. Then LA bought it and kept it open for about a year and then closed it and expected everyone to drive about 16 miles to one of their orginial ones, but only about 25% of the people went because that 16 miles takes over a half hour, the majority joined the Planet Fitness down the street and a few others went other places. After two years it's still odd that the old workout group is scattered all over the place. That LA fitness is really nice though and they honored our cheap membership but no matter how cheap if I don't want to make the drive it's not worth it. did you ever take their spinning classes those are fun and a lot of work.

I have a treadmill at home too, but it's in the garage. I can't workout at home. I get side tracked too easy. That's why I renewed my gym membership. Because I will workout if I go to the gym. At home for get it. There are LA Fitness's everywhere around here so I can choose. I have 3 maybe 4 in a 5 mile radius but in different directions. I was also a member when it was Ballys. I agree it is much better now that it is LA Fitness. When it was Bally's it was kind of "ghetto" they made members pay for certain classes.. like zumba and other "fitness plus" classes. They don't do that now. I haven't tried their spin class yet, but plan to soon. Last edited by Christinee; 01-25-2014 at 09:54 AM.

| I had yum woon sen (bean thread noodle salad) last night. So good. The noodles are made from mung bean usually. There is a korean style called japchae that is made from sweet potato I think. add in carrot, garlic, chili, green onion, shrimp or ground chicken, season with lime juice, fish or soy sauce. Add in peanuts (raw or plain) cilantro, mint, basil, etc.

I wonder how that taste. Good question about the artificial sweetener though. Are there any "safe" ones out there?

| I got my blender two days ago. I went shopping and got stuff so I could give it a try. It did the trick. My bf is sick, so I found a weight loss smoothie on Dr. Oz's website that has a lot of vitamin C in it so he could reap the benefits too. Came out pretty good. I still have some left over in the refrigerator I am going to have for breakfast. |

| Now I could have remembered wrong, but I think once you blend or juice, you have to drink that up within a few hours or the vitamins won't get absorbed or something.

| I read the comments and many people omitted the sweetener altogether, and some made them more savory, with garlic and herbs. Some used flavored cream cheese too. I so want to try this. Gotta dust off the Kitchenaid. Ugh I don't even know where my whisk attachment is.

| I am reading they can be saved if you save them in a glass air tight container. Also adding lemon helps them last longer too. Good thing I looked it up. |
