Thanks, Brooke for starting this thread!!!

I'm Elizabeth. I live in a suburb of Atlanta and love it! Great weather, lots of good shopping, tons of super restaurants, plus good concerts and sporting events!

I'm a mom, too. I have 2 daughters. Paige is 10 and Sarah just turned 8. Bella is our little furbaby. We love her soooooooo much!!!

We are Christians, as well and enjoy our Bible Study groups (both at church and one I'm in for moms during the day). We love spending time as a family--traveling, watching movies, and just talking. There isn't anything I'd rather do than spend an evening with my husband and kids, talking about our day and planning what we would like to do over the weekend (and have Bella curled up on my lap!).

I also love YT and spend way too much time on the computer!!!

Have a great day!

Default I am a newbie

I am from Edgewood Maryland. I work from home doing medical transcription. The funny thing is, I am not a dog person and never was. Then I met Rocky. My husband had been trying to talk me into a dog for a long time. We did have one for 15 years and I had to put him done. One of the hardest things I had to do and I swore NO MORE DOGS. My oldest son Patrick got his dad a dog for his birthday, a Lab/retriever mix, HUGE, and I live in a mobile home. I had a fit and said absolutely not. If the dog came home, I was gone, so the dog stayed with my son. I know I really hurt my son's feelings. That was November 2005. In August 2006 he was killed while coming home on his motorcycle. This is the second son that was killed. My first and youngest was killed in 1987 by a hit and run driver.

Needless to say, I went into a very deep depression. AND THEN I MET ROCKY. We got him right before Christmas. My husband and I were driving home from church and he started with the dog thing again. I told him if I could find a tiny dog that would stay tiny I would think about it. He went straight to the pet store. When I walked in, the third cage from the door had 2 small terriers and the one was just staring at me and cocking his head back and forth. He had the cutest little face and his ears were bent forward. My husband told them to bring him out. They put him in my arms and he started kissing all over me and my first thought was, CRAP!!!! He is now home with me and I guess you could say he has been my lifesaver. He has made such a difference in my life and with my depression. I love him to pieces and he totally has my heart. NOW IF I COULD JUST TOTALLY POTTY TRAIN HIM.

Sorry, I did not mean to write a novel, but now you know who I am.

Hello everyone. What a great thread.

I am 35, and will be 36 on the 31st of this month. My name is Shelly and I live in Texarkana, Texas. I have been married to the same man for going on 11 years. We have 2 children, Shelby 8 and Shelton 2. We call Shelton our "suprise blessing". We were told that we couldn't have anymore but 6 years after Shelby was born I got pregnant again. Wow was our first response but we consider ourselves very blessed to have a second chance to be parents and we would never trade our busy little boy for the world.

My first love of course is my children. We are a very outdoor family. We enjoy camping, fishing and ATV riding. Also, I am COMPLETE scrapbook freak. I enjoy reading and as you can imagine with a busy little 2 year old boy I really enjoy some occasional peaceful time to myself. I love it when Rocco and I get a chance to curl up in bed with a good book.

Hello there everyone my name is Penny I live in Mississippi been married to my hubbie for 32 years have 2daughters and a son, my oldest daughter is a stay at home mom, the other daughter is a RN and my son is a pilot for the marines corps. we have 1 yorkie Wicket and 5 other dogs (labs and a jack russell) that we are keeping for service men that are overseas now, we also have 3 horses and 2 parrots (that were my daughters that got left here when they married) .
My hobbies wow we use to have so many, now my husband and I are home bodies, we use to sail our sail boat is now in dry dock, hiking is also a thing of the past, after the kids left home we became idle, my youngest daughter and I still ride horses it's kinda of our time together.
We have only been in Mississippi for about a year now, I am still adjusting to being in swamp instead of sand, before we live near Gulf Shores Al, but subdivision starting moving in on top of us and my husband was not happy so we sold our 6 acreas and bought 80 acreas in MS. I told my neighbor now I know how the Indians felt when the white men took over their land.
It was really sad to see all that beautiful farm land become subdivison after subdivision.

Hello, all!

I'm Tina, and I live in Wichita, KS with my husband of 2 1/2 years (together for 8) and our two furkids Penny & Riley.

I'm a web designer and work from home, telecommuting for an internet company. Hubby is a graphic designer and works for an advertising agency downtown. We also freelance which keeps us super busy.

When we aren't working, we like to read, work out, and spend time with the girls. I also crochet and enjoy other crafts. Hubby plays guitar and loves poker.

This is a great idea.

Hi - My name is Nikki, 32 years old and I live in Laurel, MD - I am exactly the mid-way point between Baltimore and DC. I can get to either city in 15 minutes. I have to admit - I love B'more (Baltimore as well call it here) a little better than DC. I own a house with my boyfriend - Steve. We have been dating for almost 6 years and we are not married yet. Everyone is always asking us when and to be honest I am not in any hurry.

Sometimes I feel like an olde sole in a young body. I love to go to antique auctions, craft shows, basket bingos and regular bingos. My favorite thing to do is go to the slot machines in Delaware (MD does not have them yet ). Every Tuesday night I go to bingo and I would never miss it. Believe it or not - Steve goes with me every Tuesday to bingo and basket bingos. He is a great man!

Also every Saturday if I am not at a craft show with my mom - I am at the thrift stores with her. I search for Longaberger baskets & pottery at these stores and have been lucky and almost find a piece every week.

I do not have any children yet - I am waiting on that too. To be honest I never thought I was a dog person and then last year I did a lot of research and got little Lillie. She got me and Steve so addicted to her loving personality and character that we got another Yorkie in September 2007. Now, we are finally getting our third - sometime in the middle of February - our little Parti girl and then we are done. It is time that we start having skin kids.

Hi everyone! This is great!

My name is Elizabeth...but most people call me Liz (because Elizabeth can be hard to pronounce....especially when i'm trying to introduce myself when I'm nervous....Lithabth is what usually comes out!)

I am 28 going on 29 on April 27th and have been married 1 1/2 years to the ony guy I've ever dated. We've been together almost 11 years! My husband is my best friend! He is an assistant manager and waiter at an upscale restaurant in our city.

Tia is our "first child" and our parents have come to accept that this is all they're getting in terms of a grandchild (for now!) Therefore Tia is spoiled with attention from all fronts.

I teach music, English and Religion in a catholic school to grades 7 and 8.

I live in Nepean (Ottawa, really...nation's capital!) in Ontario Canada. I commute about 45 minutes minimum to 1 hr 15 minutes each way to and from work. I also play the organ at my church 2 nights per week for memorial masses. I am an accompanist for a wedding singer and have seen all kinds of wedding ceremonies. I also continue a part time job I've had since high shool at an upscale shoe store.

I used to accompany a children's choir, and I used to play the flute in the adult choir at my church. i used to teach piano to young children as well. I stopped all of this because I found myself spread too thin in life.

I love hiking and travelling....went to Jamaica on my honeymoon, spent 1 month this summer in Italy at a house my dad owns there (and toured around too) and just got back from Cancun.

I'll lurk on YT a lot more than I post....I love seeing pictures and reading questions, advice given and support offered. You guys rock!

Rockabye- Welcome to YT!

Okay, I'll go. My name is Nikki, I just turned 35 and I've been married for 14 years to my wonderful hubby Troy. We have an amazing 13 year old daughter named Lauren. I love the beach and anything water related. My husband has been learning to sail so we are thinking of selling our boat and getting a sailboat so I guess learning to sail is next for me. I am a stay at home mom and I guess one of my biggest hobbies is taking classes, starting new ventures and then getting bored with it. Silly but I'm fortunate that I can do that. I was certified as an etiquette consultant by the Protocol School of Washington (Liv Tyler's grandma is the owner and my teacher so that was kind of neat). Never really did anything with it though other than buy some really cute business suits and beautiful business stationary then decided I didn't really want to do that. Next I had a handmade soap company called Beachbubbles Soap Co. I did that for about 3 years and I really had a lot of fun with it. After that I went to school to get my esthetician's licence and I did work for a little while. I wasn't really used to having a boss and rules and all that goes with having a job and my family was used to me being home so now I do keep my license up but I'm not using it. Now I want to do a certification course in herbal medicine. I'm also going to take a sewing class next month. I'm a huge bookworm- my current obsession is world religions. So, there's my scatterbrained life.

Hello everyone, I am Nicole and I live in Michigan. It is very cold her and I hate it,cant wait to move. I am 23 and was married less than a year ago but we have been together for 8 years now. I am currently a nanny and plan on opening a day care when my husband is done with grad school in a year or so. I work a lot 60-65 hours a week but I am so luck to be able to bring my Lily with me. Lily is soon to be 9 months old and is recovering from being spayed, she is doing great. She is my first small dog and she is my life.Lily is a yorkie mix. I plan on having my own children in 2 or 3 years, but want another furbaby soon. It is nice meeting all of you.

Default neat idea

My name is Kelly Jo - my husband's name is Kelly.

We are Christians and love our family and love kids!

I teach Soph. English at a small High School in Texas. Husband is coach and principal. - Hubby coached son in two State championship football games -(if you're from Texas, you'll understand why I include this.) He also coached our daughter in track. - went to Regionals many times.

We all four love our dogs to distraction -we have Sammy the boxer and Daisy the yorkie mix. Lots of High School and college age kids visit our home and they love our pups, too.

Daisy was a total impulse buy when the skin-baby left for college. What a blessing dogs are!!!

Hi! My name is Amanda, I am 25 years old, and live in Middleton, Idaho (just outside of Boise.) My husband, Robert, and I got married last June, after being together for only one year. I knew the second I met him we would be together forever. Robert is a veterinarian at a equine hospital here in the area. He also does both equine and dog chiropractic, pretty convenient!

We have two other dogs, both adopted, Nitro a 3yr. old black lab, and Lila, a 2yr. old Golden Retriever. I begged and begged for a Yorkie for months, before my hubby finally gave in. He fell in love the second I brought Ranger home. Ranger is now 7mos, and the 2nd love of my life!! First on some days!!! We just adore him. Robert and I are not going to have any skin kids, so our dogs are treated as such!

I also do endurance riding, meaning I ride my two horses, Sami and Fast Eddy, on 50 to 100 mile "races" through the American Endurance Ride Conference, all over the northwest. It's a huge sport, and requires pretty much weekly camping trips to rides. I can't wait for Ranger to join. He definitely already thinks he owns the living quarters of the horse trailer!! Oh, and can't forget to add snowmobiling (hubby would be hurt if I forgot), which we do every weekend in the winter. Little Ranger is well-known, and stays in the truck all cuddled in his heated doggy bed and tons of blankies- he loves to go for rides around the parking lot!!!

Well, there's my book (I can't make anything short or sweet!!!!) Great thread!!!!!
