Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Hi - my name is ada, and I am a yorkie addict. LOL I'll be 56 this month; and in June, will see the 36th wedding anniversary to the most wonderful man. We share one daughter, who teaches us about unconditional love and patience . See family page, here. We don't get out much; but, when we do, we enjoy geocaching. I had a little web design business; but that went by the wayside when I had open heart surgery last spring. Plus, the field is extremely competitive - hard to stay current on things. But, it's something I love. We've been 'owned' by Abigail-Ceana for two years. I'd wanted a Yorkie all my life, and finally decided I wasn't getting any younger...so I just did it! She's been such a blessing to our family! We also share our lives with our buddy, Mr. Mozart - a 13y/o mix (shi-tzu/maltese/silky), who lets Abigail think she's top dog .

| WOW, I am loving this thread. What a wonderful variety of people on here. I noticed there are a few scrapbook nuts like myself on here and photography people. I just recently bought myself the new Canon Digital SLR and I don't have a clue how to use it so if any of you professionals have some tips by all means send them my way. LOL

| Hi All: My name is Nedda, I'm 53 years old and I live in Rockland County, New York, approximately 45 minutes north of Manhattan. I've been married 33 years tomorrow (Jan. 19th) to a wonderful man. I have 2 great sons, 32 and 28 years old (who are not married ). I am an Executive Assistant to the CEO of an agency that serves people with Mental and Development Disabilities, providing homes and services as needed. About 3 years ago, I was looking at internet sites, searching for a small Chihuahua to bring into the family. In my search, I came across a site selling a litter of Yorkies, I saw this sweet little girl for sale (until then, I knew nothing about Yorkies) I looked at that cute little face and called the breeder immediately. I met her the next day and she's had me in her spell ever since. I now have 3 Yorkies, 2 girls and 1 boy.

| My name is Charlene. I live just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia and married my high school sweetheart almost 24 years ago. He is a sailor in the Canadian Navy. I have a son 20 who is in his third year at Dalhousie University and a daughter 18 just finishing high school. I am the director of a nursery school with 90 children enrolled including several having special needs. I am passionate about inclusion. My Ziggy was a birthday gift last March after two years of researching different breeds of dogs (I don't jump into decisions LOL). He was suposed to reach 7 pounds like his dad but is somewhere around 13-14 pounds right now. I wouldn't trade him for anything. I do a lot of community volunteer work including organizing the annual Canada Day parade and fireworks..oh and I play flute or piccolo in the marching band. Gee....do you think I like to talk about myself?????

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | This is an awesome thread. Its so interesting to see what everyone enjoys. A lot of you are talented with artistic things, I see. That's SO wonderful. I've always wished that I could draw/do pottery/and things like that, with my hands. What awesome talents! Hmm well. I'm Megan, and I'm 14 (I'll be 15 on April 8th). I just moved to Spotswood, NJ from my hometown of Milltown, NJ (in Central New Jersey). I'm a freshman in high school, and I'm loving it, even though its really hard at times. I love all kinds of animals and I always have. I rode horses for about 8 years, unfortunatly some other interests got in the way - it got too expensive and I had to make a tough decision to stop riding. But I became very good friends with the family that owns the farm I rode at, and from time to time I still go there to help out with any groups they have coming in, which usually gets me a free ride. My true love is singing and acting. Broadway is my passion, and it is so inspiring and wonderful to me. I take voice lessons, and I go to an acting high school, and my life goal/dream is to go to Mason Gross, move to New York, and become a performer on Broadway. I love everything about theatre, and its very special to me. I am TOTALLY obsessed with Ireland, and I would die to go there. My mom wants to go there too, to do family history, so I'm hoping for a family trip sometime in my life. I can look at pictures of Ireland for hours. <3 I also have a 17 year old brother, Kevin, who I actually get along pretty well with. We have our moments, but compared to most siblings, we are angels haha. and I'm LDS (Mormon). I love my Church and the people in it are like family to me. and I guess that's it. This is embarrassingly long.

| I love this thread, I love hearing about everyone. I am not as interesting as all the other people on here. My name is Regina, everyone calls me Gina. I live in Prestonsburg Ky. I like it here in the country. I really don't like it too much when its cold during the winter. I have lived here all my life. I am married, his name is Shane. We have been married for almost 11 yrs. We meet right after I got out of high school and dated for 3 yrs before he ask me to marry him. He is disabled, he was born with a disease called Spinalcerebullar degeneration, which is very rare. I knew he was sick before we got married and it did not bother me I loved him no matter what. I don't work I stay home to take care of Shane the best that I can because in Oct. of 2000 I had a really bad car wreck which left me disabled, so we take care of each other the best that we can. Shane now has a electric wheelchair which makes it so much easier on him and me. We still live a normal, happy life considering the bad things. Anyway, we like watching movies, talking strolls down the road. I enjoy scrapbooking in my spare time, and staying on the computer a lot. In Sept. of 2007 we bought our first Yorkie, his name is Otis, he has brought so much joy to our life. We have other dogs which we love but there is just something about Otis that is special. After researching the breed for months we decided to try and buy one and finally found him. He keeps us busy for the most part of our days. We cannot have skin kids so my furbabies will have to do..So, sorry if I shared too much info with you, I am not too good at talking about myself......

| I'm Joanne, 55 yrs. young, from KS, about 50 minutes northeast of Wichita, KS. Married 35 yrs. to a man who puts up with my doggie fetish. Husband owns his own business. Empty nesters. Three adult children 33 yrs. to 22 yrs. Have become like my Canadian mother in my old age and adore God's little creatures. Have three Yorkies, two rescue female seniors, Rosie, 5 lbs. (scared of everything) and Cocoa, 3.5 lbs. (mentally challenged), a 1 yr. old male, Chipper, 4.5 lbs. and a 7 mo. old male rescue pommie, Snowboy, 6.6 lbs. Have our daughter's part Himalayan kitty---a temperamental beauty---until she gets out of pharmacy school in 3 yrs. Going to specialize in cancer drugs, therefore has to do an internship. Major drain on finances, but DH insists that our kids get degrees w/o debt. Work as a para at local elementary school---enjoy 4th/5th graders. Considering the pay, wouldn't do it if didn't enjoy it. Never considered myself a patient person, but God has given me a special love for the disadvantaged. Love the kids and am blessed to be loved by them. Have a terrific supervisor. Never a dull moment. Enjoy cooking so involved in that aspect at church---Wed. night meals and weddings. Come from a very conservative religious background. Leaving it caused great stress to my family. Stayed away from faith for many years but have found it again but in a less legalistic way. Love scrapbooking and want to start making my own cards. Forgot the cockatiel, Duchess, 13 yrs., given to us by some missionaries before they went overseas. Think I'll save this thread somewhere so I can refer back to it. |
