Acctually it has been realized now that this post was a set up to get the heat off the OP and on someone else...but yea it was SUPPOSE to be a congratulations post also...

I agree with you 100%. It was nice to hear everyones opinions but I guess some people took this thread the wrong way. Ihope the talk about chocolates die down for a while... And I also hope people took something positive from this thread... I'm a positive person and I don't know why!

HAD YOUR BREEDER BEEN HONEST in her original post, this thread would not be where it is now and you and kelly wouldnt be continuing to beat a DEAD HORSE or baiting people to respond to you!

The Yorkshire Terrier originated 200 years ago. Have you read the breed history? These poor people couldn't own larger dogs by law to hunt so they kept these little dogs to hunt small game like rabbits, and they were also used as ratters. It wasn't even a breed back then. Once it became a breed, a standard was set and breeders began to breed them with a goal in mind which is why we have the yorkshire terrier of today. There is a very specific standard written for the yorkshire terrier.

i did not win actually i was just allowed to show and gave a second place ribbon because coat was of wrong color

what in the world are you talking about?? noone is bating anyone? im simply defending her...the OP is not my breeder...she is shannettes...she set her up for this and left her to fight this alone...
and all the argueing was done as far as i was concerned..things were just going back to normal until u put your 2 cents in

i dont see what the coat color has to do with size and goal the liver and choc can do the same things thats not an impressive remark to me sorry

Yes, it took a few breeds to create the Yorkie as we know it today. Most of the breeds used to create this breed are now extinct. If it werent for the dedicated Yorkie breeders that kept records and stuck to the breeding program, we would not have the present day Yorkie.

i have said goodnight several times and the remarks keep coming they are not from kelly either they are from peoplelike lorraine who just dont get it that i care more about gettin my chocs out there and exposed as a great breed than i do about her yorki standard in some book

Well, the goal of those breeders was to breed a steel blue and tan dog. There is absolutely no mention of chocolate or liver in the breed standard - until recently anyway. They just added to the standard, which specifically says that chocolates and livers are a disqualification.

Its soooo good to see that someone on here isnt still trying to fuss and fight..its getting old...she did something that made her feel good and her pups had fun..i wish everyone could be happy for her..

well someone didnt get it right somewhere if these chocs and livers keep showing up in some of the best show lines now have they
