ask yourself this if these kennel clubs werent considering these dogs for show in the future why allow them to be registered with these known colores ? akc started recognizing choc and livers i believe in 2003 they have had four years to develope stronger healthier lines than ever

There are a lot of breeds that will allow you to recognize colors that are disqualifications in the ring. If the dog is purebred, they are going to register it. But that doesn't mean they'll allow it to be shown, and that doesn't mean it should be bred. There are white german shepherds but they are a disqualification, there are white boxers but they are a disqualification, there are lemon beagles but they are a disqualification. Just because a color can exist doesn't mean they'll ever be considered for show. All of these other colors were just considered for show and they were all just turned down. It was released in march that only blue and tan yorkies can be shown

well i believe different and that is my poragative and you have yours i see these dogs making big influences on sights online and at shows whether in them or not they are taking off and some kennel club is gonna cash in on it sooner or later you wait and see how did the liver and tan bloodhound make the cut 3 years in a row

I know this is off subject again but wanted to say i love the beef jerky commercial with the sashquash/big foot (sp?). Just came on. He hit him really hard with that stick..lol... I love it

Well, good luck in your endeavor. I don't see the yorkshire terrier standard opening up - too many breeders that care about keeping the standard the way it is.

you are also talking about goals of people from 200 years ago alot more people and alot more opinions now as well

again i dont want my dogs compared to the standard i wont there own standard seperate

look at it this way...the more education shannett can do the more it can prevent byb and puppy mills from selling them as "rare" and for tons of money
good can come from her taking hers to the shows, not necessarily to show them, at least until they decide if there will be a standard, but to show people that dont know any better and to let them know that they are not rare and should not cost anymore that a normal priced pet quality yorkie

thank you kelly that is alot of what im trying to do educate people on them they arent rare they were extenquished from the line because no country of origin or kennel club wanted them now there are hundreds of people out there who want them just because they ARE different. and they are getting hit with ridicoulous prices for them. its not right. if you pay 3000 for a dog it should be a show dog am i right or wrong?

I am sorry but i do agree but....... You are not selling show quality dogs they are not allowed in the shows and you are sellug them for $3500.00???

please reread that..she didnt say she was cashing in on it cause shes not..she said the kennel clubs were going to eventually...the most ive seen her charge is 1100 for one and that was less than what she had in the dog..

no mam not cashing in at all making sure that if the time does come there are reputable dogs out there to represent the standard set for them. not to push the price up but to lower it the more common the less the price you are lookin at it backwards the only people realy cashing in are she shows and the breeders saying they are rare
