Let me get this straight. You have been to 1 dog show and "won" a 2nd place and showed against no-one. Sounds like you have never even read the breed standard or even cared enough to. You have said that the choc is coming back from extinction because the choc pups were murdered. You sold a choc pup for $1100. and it was less than you had in it?(did it have surgery??) You know nothing about the YTCA. You dont seem to recognize the dedication and hard work it took to get this breed accepted by UKC and AKC. And you say you want to educate people on chocs? What are you going to say, that they are a fault or are you going to say they are coming back from extinction?

Only the OP said she "won" we both stated that she recieved it. if you have seen any of the listing for "rare" chocolate pups, they are being listed in the 3000 range...

im going to say they deserve rights just like the yorkies they come from same line of dogs they deserve a standard in which to be judged by so that people like me who do care about them can get them judged to produce the quality of a show breed. i dont want to replace the original standard at all i simply want this line to be recognized for what it is another line of terrier that has been pushed aside for years with no reason except color there are no more genetic defects in them than the standards can have but without kennel clubs setting standards and promoting good qualitly breeding this outrageous breeding will develop into god know what and the people will breed whatever standard just to say they are out there. they need a standard to better the quality of the breed itself.

You really summed everything up basically, but let's all agree to disagree. She may have mean some of the things you said in a different way. We interpret things differently... I say I love tomatoes and you may think I eat it in my salads or burgers when I could mean I eat it on everything and can't think of a time not to eat it...

if i hadnt wanted to know if my dog was of good quality and cared about her then why would i even bother having a judge look at her that wouldnt make any sense

Why can you not just see what she is saying...all she is basically trying to do is get a standard set up so that people will stop selling them as rare for major amounts of money....she is not trying to change any set standards..

she even stated that if it would make everyone else happy, she didnt care if they called them something else all together..but the history on them would lead back to the same roots as the standard yorkie

i havent tried to go up against anyone i dont even care if they are called yorkies they can call them liver or choc terriers just give them a standard and tell there flaws of there own stop comparing them to the standard they are different in alot of ways but still same in alot of ways as are several breeds that have standards
