MPO....... I don't think that chocolates should be able to be show as a yorkie if they are to be recognized it should be their own breed like the Biewer has done. Chocolates and other colors are not the standard for this breed. Yes they are beautiful yes they are wonderful pets and maybe show quality in their own set catagory.

You can't compare a chocolate or anyother color against the standard of what a yorkie is supposed to be so why would you want to have them in the same catagory with them?? Why not set out to make their own place?

Hi..you just said what i have been saying the whole time, but not many people cared...shannette is trying to get chocolates their OWN standard, not showing with standard yorkies..theres no way they can be, they in no way fit the standards set right now..they need their own standard with their colors and sizes and all and have their own group in the ring...

i didnt start this with representing anything except the fact my little dog got a second place ribon and she was first liver and tan to do it as far as i know whether it counts or not i had the guts to walk her in there head held high no regrets there she performed great i had a great time and didnt misleed anyone. i dont owe anyone an explanation for my dreams and goals if you dont stand for them its not my problem i want friends and co breeders with me but i came this far alone and ill go further without people like in this forum trying to push me down. Maybe one day both lines can be shown then everyone can be happy.

I have my sincere doubts it was knowlegable judges that would have withheld a ribbon and then said it was indeed a great Yorkie. They may have said in structure in other points it was fine but the colour is a severe fault enough of one to withhold a ribbon.
In the show world withholding a ribbon is considered to be a way of saying the dog should not be in the ring.
SOrry but that is the way it is if you know the show world which I keep telling people if you are going to breed, be part of it and know your breed.

She wanted to get her babies out there and help set the standard so she could show as well...

I see no bashing? I see education on the yorkie standard for conformation showing that is in place "RIGHT NOW". If you feel bashed then maybe something isn't kosher in what you are doing. Those of us that show on a regular basis know the standard and want the standard to be followed because it's the rules!!!! If you speed you get a ticket, if you argue with the officer off to jail you go, if you show a yorkie that's not in standard you get first place withheld and you get passionate show breeders trying to educate you....facts are facts no way around it

I don't think your dog is stupid and the show wasn't stupid I just hope you do come back to the show ring and have a great time as it should be We gotta start somewhere and now that you know what is expected in the show ring I hope you have a great experience and learn from alot of show breeders

had no idea so many people were against these dogs. now i know how you show people are though it will be interesting to see what happens when i follow your rules and also i have seen revised rules change over and over with these kennels clubs just like a liver and tan bloodhound can over come this i believe so can a yorkie or a chocolate terrier whichever you would like to call them. see you in the ring in the future watch for me

i dont know anything about being used for advertisement i did not promote any selling of any dog. simply promoting recognition of a dog
if the breeder of my dog chose to use my goal for her benifit then that was her call
I cant deny the fact that i wanted my dog seen and observed but she is not for sale i did not deserve to be downed because i believe they deserve a standard for there color just like other dogs in similar color whether they call them yorkies or not that would be up to a kennel club. im promoting a line not a puppy
