| People stop and ask all the time "Is he a teacup?'" (He weighs over 6 lbs though ), then they ask, "How much?". I tell them he cost over a 1000 but here in NY prices are high and not a lot of people seem surprised. On the other hand, when you think about it, some people would spend 400-500 on a purse, or 200-300 for dinner... Spending over a 1000 on a dog that will be your companion for 15 years to come (at least, hopefully), doesn't seem like a big expense to me compared to other things.

| I always seem to get the same questions too. How old is she? Is she going to get bigger? How much did you pay for her? You should breed her! I have a male that would be perfect. Yeah, okay, lady, Izzie isn't even 4 pounds and I'm going to breed her? Yeah right! What I can't STAND is the people who just go and pick her up! (when I'm walking her on her leash) If she was a bigger dog, there's no way that someone would just go and pick her up. It really annoys me when parents with little kids let them try to pick her up. I'm always a B**** and scoop Izzie up and let the little ones pet her. For the adults, I just hope that she gets a little too excited and piddles on them. It's not my fault! People can just be so rude!

| It depends on whose asking. If it's someone who is interested in purchasing a yorkie, or knows about the breed and has yorkies (like someone on here for example), then I'll tell them. If it's someone just being snobby, then I just say that he was a gift

| Oooh, I hate that but yes, people ask. I refused to tell last time. I don't want people judging because it's MY money. The last puppy was $3,000(sadly, it didn't work out) but since I don't take vacations I feel any amount is justified. My sister spent more than that for a few days in Hawaii. My previous dogs have lived 12 - 15 years(and my chihuahua is already almost 9 years old). So, price per year is a bargain if you look at it that way Less than a yearly cable bill. But it does bug me because I don't ask people how much they pay for stuff, I just wasn't brought up that way.

That's my biggest fear!!! to tell someone about your baby and have them snatched out of your arms... I do not let people know where I live with my babies...it's too scary!!!

| I have only had my baby a few months but i already get this question alot, i think partly beacause of the area i live in there really aren't alot of yorkies. However i NEVER answer the question, there have been more than several dog nappings in the last few months in my city. Therefore i am always cautious. A friend of mine recently had her chiuhaha stolen from her neighbor two doors down! the lady's son saw the posters on the street and called my friend to rat out his own mother!! And believe it or not the woman had the nerve to refuse to give the dog back because it was 'wandering the streets and she shouldnt have it anyways'. My friend still doesnt know how the dog got out and swears it was taken from her backyard. People know all to well what these dogs are worth and im not willing to take any chances to have my baby stolen from me! call me a hypocondriac but given the set of events in my city i will not take a chance!

| Aww, thanks it is Candee the one people always ask about i.e. how much she cost. One lady picked Candee up and asked if she could have her and yes she was serious, here is Lola

| I do get asked a lot. I gauge my response on the person. If they are actually interested in getting one for themselves I usually say " I paid $2,000, but you can get some great pet quality pups for less and don't make the mistake I did by paying for more than you get. I love Buddah and wouldnt trade him for the world, but I wish I was more educated." If they are just asking to be rude or to find out so the can judge I just say "he wasn't cheap, but I couldn't help it. I fell in love right as soon as I saw him." |

| People ask this all the time! I think it's kind of rude. Especially since my boyfriend always gives out the name of the breeder so they could just call her and talk to her about it directly! Drives me crazy....the other day I took her with me to buy dog food for my bigger dogs and this lady at the feed store asked to hold her and then took her into the back part of the store to show her to someone...I was a little peeved!! She asked if she could show her to someone and I was like oh sure I figured they were standing near by...when I saw her walking through the double doors to the back of the warehouse i was like- woooah what do you think you're doing???? lol oh well she brought her back and I didn't even think of her stealing the pup but we live in a small town sooo...I don't really worry about that quite as much. But sometimes I just want to be able to take my Roo places without everyone bombarding me with questions!! lol |
