Donating YT 30K Club Member | Toby looks cute even shaved. I am glad they left his head hair long. In a few weeks his body hair should grow in.

| Oh, I know how you feel, I posted a couple of weeks ago when I took Tucker for his first cut! I told her to not use the clippers , to just scissor cut him and she used them any way! My husband picked him up ...he will not go back to a groomer, I will learn to do it myself! But, on the bright side , it has been two weeks and his hair is growing back and it is so much easier to manage now! No more tangles!

| Joeys first cut was his face..just his face. He looked so handsome and I loved it. But then summer came and I knew he would over heat...so I took him to the groomer and asked that they shave him down, head to toe. They did, exactly as I asked. HE LOOKED SO UGLY! Ive never been back to that groomer, because I was horrified. And I know it was my fault because I asked for it...but still, he should have tried to talk me out of it LOL. Anyways, his hair grew back, and I didnt cut it for about 4 months and it kept him cool all summer.

| He is so cute!!! His face is adorable! They really did cut a lot off Did they do that on purpose? I don't understand why they would shave that much. Maybe it was a mistake. Nevertheless, it will grow back. And he looks adorable in his hoodie

| That is really short for a groomer to have done, but don't worry, it grows back and usually pretty quickly. Columbo has a chihuahua haircut like that right now! He has been sick and had some tests and procedures done where they shaved his sides and tummy. Two weeks ago I shaved him all over to match it where the vets shaved him. Here's a pic of what he looks like. Its grown out two weeks, so you can see it was almost down to the skin! I actually shave him every once in awhile in the summer, but usually about a 1/2" long, not this short. It gets really hot and humid here, so I like it short when it's warm, but I usually leave him a bit longer on his head. Don't worry, it always grows back! In fact, it's a bonus for me that he won't need a haircut for several months! He will just need his face touched up as it grows. He was chilly a couple weeks ago, but this week it hit 90 degrees, so he was feeling good! |

| That pretty much happened to me with Blazer, too. He was curly and dark brown when I brought him in to the groomer and I brought home a much smaller looking little golden boy! He was shaved down much shorter than I had wanted and there was no actual style to his groom. I started grooming him myself after that. His hair came back and has changed colors many times still- he is now 10 1/2 months old and his first groom was when he was around 16 weeks, I think. It is shocking to see your "baby" gone for good but luckily their hair grows quickly and you'll be loving his new look sooner rather than later. =) (((HUGS))) to you!

| Oh wow. That's short! He is adorable though. And the cut doesn't look bad on him at all!

| I think all of us have experienced something close to this at one time...I remember the groomer doing that to Wallee just before Xmas...omg...Since he is a Biewer with the long feathery tail he looked like a s**tzu..Not that I have anything against that breed it's just that my husband calls them the "everybody's got one" dog..They are everywhere..and all close in colour to my poor Wallee..Trust me, he is now growing in very nicely and is almost to where he was before Xmas..from now on, I will be in the room when she goes to cut him. (she comes to my home) and I promise the only time I want to hear the clippers is when they are doing his underarms and around his back end. |

| First of all this picture: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ctureid=126939 is FLIPPING ADORABLE!! I have no idea what you mean when you say shaved sickly pig!! LOL he is a handsome little boy!! I'm sorry you had to experience that.. BUT his hair will grow back! In the meantime you can research a breeder that will listen to you I will tell you my story so yours doesn't sound that bad.. My wonderful husband has a shaved head. When my Peanut was 1 year old he thought it would be a good idea to take him to a groomer he randomly picked out and told her to shave his dog to look like his HEAD!!!! He tells me she didn't want to do it, she made him sign a waver LOL Sure enough I came home from working a 14 hour day looking for my baby and he looks like a drowned sickly rat!!! EVERYTHING was gone, his hair, his face hair, his WHISKERS, his eyebrows, his ear hair... He seriously looked like a chihuahua, and not a cute one- an ugly sickly one!! That being said I'm in charge of the grooming since that day LOL. Pnut's hair grew back and I forgave my husband.. He also realized Yorkies have hair for a reason

| I always cringe inside when I read or hear another bad hair cut story. Thankfully they never shaved my little one but they did cut her topknot when I had asked them not to touch it. It is shocking to go pick up your baby and find they have disfigured you pet. OK, disfigured may be a bit too strong but you just wonder what they are thinking. Did you ask for a short haircut? One of my pet peeves is groomers that only know one haircut.....shave! It is still quite cool here, too. I can't imagine a naked Yorkie is this weather. From what I have read it is not unusual for a Yorkie to change colors. Some actually turn all gold. It is not the traditional Yorkie color but they certainly are just as beautiful. Your little guy could darken up a little or change a few more shades in the coming months. I hope his hair grows back quickly for you. We had the length cut off just below her belly on Gracie for the first time last summer and she had almost a full coat again by the start of winter.
