| I PM'd SummerBummer yesterday and received no reply. Has anyone heard from her? Didn't we just have a huge discussion about bullying? I'm sorry, guys...but several of you got bent out of shape over something that wasn't even said the way you guys took it. When you do what I read in this thread - that is bullying. Of course she fired back - she was a deer in the headlights. Maybe a lot of people need to take a YT break - maybe I'm one of them. (I posted a lot more than this yesterday, but I never submitted it. I PM'd her instead and walked away. Now, I see something about someone wanting to kill herself?) Apologies need to be doled out - just sayin.

Edit this to remove 'Deb (Amazingyorkies)' and replace with 'Scrapindee'.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | This is scary. I pray she is ok. It doesn't take much to push someone over the edge. I wish we had a contact number for her other than her email.

| IMHO this was bullying/taunting in the enth degree...I just read the whole thread, I see this every single god darn day 7 cases today, its what I do for a living and it is not only unacceptable its disturbing how the mentality of the ASSAULT PROGRESSED, words, twisting of words, emoticons, etc., every time this poster said something it was flipped...she was ripped... BY ADULTS/NOT KIDS very reminiscent of past practices here. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that there is NOTHING about this thread and the 2 parties who engaged this unsuspecting newbie that doesn't reek of bullying had you been here you would have been expelled with the 7 kids today until next September. This bs has to stop this is not a random facebook/internet page. It is a forum/ it is a community and there has to be some boundaries set, this was not disagreeing this was a gang assault, and quite frankly I'm pissed off. I am now sitting here knowing what I know, wondering if the girl was pushed over the edge, for what???? Her opinion???? I did not see one thing wrong with her opinion not one single thing. It is an apalling cut, it is not what the owner wanted, the owner came here in dismay Summer agreed with her and yes I live in Buffalo freaking NY it is cold as hell and I shave my dogs and even with heat at 72 they shake from the cold and they have to wear their sweaters. Going outside for only seconds at a time. I am ranting your right, cuz this is another thread that I see absolutely no possible explanation for...take all the other posters out accept for the OP, Summer and the two others that were involved and read it that way......go ahead...for freaking shame, absolutely shame. BTW OP your dogs cut is shocking/appalling, I promise in a couple weeks it will look great, thank god his face wasn't done that short!!! My two girl are absolutely butchered right now and look like cold/lost stray pups because I did it late at night! I put a sweater on them when we go anywhere, no one will notice!

I think seeing this happen too often before, makes us more aware & less tolerant when we see the beginnings of it now, and makes those of us that are offended by it, speak up sooner. Personally, I believe that's a good thing.

| I understand how she feels. It has happened to many of us at one time or another. We don't have to agree with each other but it is wrong to attack a person for how they feel or write about a subject. Someone gets "offended" by a word or phrase another person uses and before you know it there is a "pig pile' on the victim. This poster did not attack anyone. She simply stated her opinion about a haircut. You don't have to agree with anyone's opinion but thee is not need to attack them for it. How a person perceives things is part of who they are and so the attack becomes very personal. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's best we close this thread. I do want to tell everyone that I've corresponded with Summerbummer and she she is doing just fine ! She will be coming back soon to answer all the supportive PMs and messages she has received. She wanted to thank everyone for their support and also apologize for causing people to worry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some of what's been discussed on this thread concerns me a bit in terms of the word and action of 'bullying'. And perhaps we need to discuss 'bullying' on another thread if people think it needs discussion. The word bully/bullying is the buzz word of the day, unfortunately. I say unfortunately because its actual meaning has been watered down so terribly, that it's being used at every turn. And in my opinion, this kind of watering down does nothing but hurt the actual very significant topic of bullying. Having a disagreement with someone is not bullying. Having some back-and-forth with someone is not bullying. Getting a little heated during conversation here is not bullying. Let's all try to be a little more careful in using that word bc once you say it, you cannot take it back, even if/when you're incorrect. And that word, as we all know and see, can wield a LOT of hurt, power, and misconceptions. Of course, it's only fair to say that we all have different opinions of what bullying is, so we can't say someone is just wrong or right for claiming 'bullying'. We all have a right to our opinions and should respect those differences. Let's be careful, let's be sensitive, let's keep a watch on each other - but let's also not jump the gun on making accusations and assumptions too quickly. We ALL have said or may say things that might be harsh or too direct or said in haste - that does not make us bullies. It does make us human though, eh ? Lastly, let's avoid making allusions or insinuations about things, situations, or people. That's not fair, right, or helpful -- it's kinda passive aggressive and is like peddling backwards in order to go forward, ya know? The only way to really solve things is to just be direct and get it cleared up. It's okay to be direct, in fact, it's admirable and respectful. Deep breaths, all, deep breaths! We're all doing our best on any given day .
