| AWWW I just saw his new picture, he looks cute. Don't worry it will grow back out. I know with my late Lizzie the first time I took her to the groomer I had the same happen, I was so shocked I couldn't say anything. I did get used to it fianlly and just took it as leason learned.

| This was him in February I believe. He had just come from having his face cleaned up and his nails trimmed. You can see his body is a lighter grey, because of the white mixed in, but I thought once shorter, he would be this color. I didn't want him SHAVED either, btw. Just shorter so it wasn't so unruly. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=126937 This is after today -- the camera is picking up some of the grey that was left, but in person he looks mostly like a bald little cat or piglet. its SO short. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=126941 But I sure do love him! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=126942 Oh and this was when I first got him - he was about 8.5 weeks old and 10 or 11 weeks old http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=126929 |

| Aww, I saw the pictures in your album and I am shocked how much the groomer shaved Princeton's body. At least they left his sweet face. The color of his body is probably what my Teddy would look like if I shaved him. His hair will grow back quickly. If your weather suddenly turns warm in the next couple weeks, be careful with him in the direct sun. I would keep a tshirt on him to prevent sunburn. You are a great mommy for carrying him around and giving him extra loving.

| Wow, they did shave him down! It's ok, I shaved my girl down last spring (she was 5 months) and I was in shock too...I thought my BF brought home the wrong dog LOL. Is there any chance his puppy coat was partially matted? Thats my only thought as to why they'd shave him that short. He is cute though! I bet he feels so free!!!

| You guys are REALLY making me feel so much better. I know I probably sound like a cry baby right now (and I AM) but thank you. He may have been a little matted, especially under his neck, I brushed him as much as I could but he wouldn't really let me get under his neck. But I could run my fingers through it without getting caught. He was sort of "dry" feeling and kind of cottony, because there were so many different stages of his hair growth going on. @Carmeow - how long did it take to get back to a reasonable length? @Maximo - Thank you! I am ordering him a few more hoodies and some t-shirts right now. Michigan weather is different every day, haha. I really hope some of the grey comes back. I'm really shocked by how light he is right now. |

| My girl was shaved down one half of her body like that after she had leg surgery and bone grafts from her hip. she looked like a half girl/half boy circus act. Good news at 6 weeks it was back and almost the same. I had to wait to bring her to a groomer because no one would touch her. I still havent so she gets my attempts at grooming..It comes back... |

| I am just seeing this. I just looked at the pics in your album and when I read the caption that said he looked like "an anorexic piglet" I almost woke my husband up because I burst out laughing. Not at him..at YOU! LOL!! It will grow back. I think he's cute as a button! The cut on his head is not bad at all, actually.

| Looks just like my Jilly when she was shaved for dog-bite laceration repairs on her back and torso, so they had to really shave her closely. But she grew out the same color that she was but when her body was shaved, she looked very light. Yet when the hair grew in, it was dark at the root again and got lighter on the ends as most hair does. I think your baby is darling and by summer will be looking a lot Yorkier again!

| I did see both of princess Sophie's parents and they are very light so I have been expecting to see light hair under the dark and for sure, it's there.

Oh my word! They did cut him very short!! Mine still get their puppy cuts but they never cut them that close!! poor baby!! He still looks adorable though I cant believe she made you pay before you saw him. My groomer lets me see my babies before I pay. There was only one time she messed up a cut to where I refused tp pay for it ( was one of the first times I came in with two yorkies and my sheltie) I told her to cut the yorkies and trim the sheltie.. She trimmed the yorkies and shaved the sheltie. I almost cried. The sheltie loved it though so I wasnt so upset when I got back home. lol | |

| I do like his ears with the hair cut off. They don't look large like before. I think some groomer shave them down because it's easy an they don't really know how to groom a Yorkie. It will grow back, and maybe be in better condition.

Yorkie Yakker | Oh, hilarious - that REALLY is a hideous job of a hair cut!!!! His face is really cute though, and you can see by the colouring on his back that his dark hair will grow back. I cut Maya's coat every week and can attest to the fact that very soon he will have more hair, never fear. He doesn't really seem to mind, and the hoody is really cute. But his FACE is the cutest ever - I love the white hair on his head...adorable! |
