| I think you wrote an excellent letter and I also think they should somehow compensate you for what they've done. Yes...it will grow back, but that takes time and they shouldn't get away with doing that to your yorkies...especially after you gave them instructions on what you wanted. I've never heard of groomers shaving a dog bald unless they are badly matted and I'm sure that was not the case with yours. One thing you could probably add to that letter is just how upset you are about how the dogs now look...how it's affecting you each time you look at them. Also...do you have before and after pictures to include in the letter? Good luck and I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience! I don't know what's wrong with people these days, but it seems customer service has gone downhill in so many places! |

| Damn. That really sucks. I can't imagine what you felt when you seen them. Personally, I couldn't have wrote the letter without all the WORDS. You know-those words- Hats off to you. There is a domain available. www.petsmartsucks.com As many yorkie lovers read this - that particular shop would be history. Good Luck

| Oh I am so sorry to have read your story. personally I am an A$$ about stuff like this and I would have made the biggest scene i would NOT have left and let them call the police to shut me up. I then would have asked the police to verify what was on the computer incase they erased it. I also probably would have asked another customer to very what was on the computer in case they erased it vefore the police got there. And to top it off..... I probably would have flipped open my cell phone and called the police myself and yeah they probably would have said they weren't responding to something like this, but at least there would have been a record I called and I would have made sure Corporate headquarters was aware of it ALL Now that's how much of a $%#$% I can be when someone cheats me and then trys to fluff it off like I'm the idiot. Trust me, I would have my money back along with a gift certifcate for Petsmarrt shopping by the end of the week. You call corporate headquarters and talk to their complaint department if you don't like what they say go directly to calling a CEO phone. I found nobody will give Phone numbers BUT>>>>LOL.... you just hit someone elses extension number and then whoops excuse me I was trying to reach so and so(name the CEO or President) , and then they transfer you. LOL believe me it works, and these big shots never want to deal with things like this and pass you to someone else and tell them to FIX IT. Good Luck, Yorkieangel |

| Villette- clerks with clippers! That's a good one! Sad, but sometimes that's really what it seems like. Bella Bear- that's exactly what my cousins did- stopped shopping there. Their dog is over 200 lbs., and as you can imagine goes through quite a bit of food- that alone is a huge loss of sales. He also is a huge spoiled brat and has more toys than some children! Big dog toys and treats are really expensive. Five or $10 here and there definitely adds up- another big loss for the company. I just found out about this story and haven't been in there since. The only thing I would add to the letter is how long it will take for your yorkies hair to grow to the length it was. We all know that yorkie hair, like human hair, takes a while to get some length, but someone in the company may not. Great job on the letter, though. I would never think to put a deadline for response on the letter. Let us know what happens! I'd like to sock the manager and "groomer" right in the nose for their attitudes- I can't stand people like that. Ooooh- you could put in there that you would like an aplogy from that manager and groomer- that would be good knowing that they have to swallow their pride and aplogize to you! |

| The same thing happend to me, do these people not know how to groom yorkies? This is what happened to me last week. I must be cursed when it comes to trying to find a good groomer for my yorkies! This is what happened: Took my yorkies to my vet’s office to be groomed. Told the groomer to not to shave anything, trim their ears, trim their bottoms, trim their nails and clean paws of any excess hair, and to only trim the bottom of their coats just to make it even. “A normal yorkie grooming.” I go to pick them up and this kid brings out Cheyenne, I did not recognize her, and told them him that it was the wrong dog. He comes back again with both dogs, and I did not recognize either one. Then the groomer came out and said that yes, these were my dogs. I am going OMG that cannot be my yorkies they have been butchered. She said, “This is what you said you wanted, and if you wanted something else, you should have been more specific.” I started arguing with her, and she just shoves the dogs at me and turns around and walks off. As she is walking off she says, “That is what you get, have a nice day.” I almost dropped Scooter when she shoved them at me. I was so furious I told the receptionist that I would be back to talk to one of the owners. She SHAVED their faces, cut all their hair off their heads down to less than a ¼ inch , took scissors and cut all the hair on their bodies down. Nothing is even, there are big gouges in their coats, what hair is left on the sides of their faces and down their necks is all uneven, and only three of Scooters paws had the nails trimmed. I am still so mad, I could spit nails. I have an appointment with the vet owners. It will not be pretty! They want me to bring the dogs in so they can see what was done to them. I want that B$$$$ fired! If I had not had my dogs in my arms, I would have slapped the s*** out of the groomer. I just hope I can keep in control when I talk to the owners. I told my husband to be prepared to bail me out of jail.

| I would reccomend adding to your letter the location of the Petsmart you visited and the name of the groomer and manager (if you know it). Make sure to include all your contact information and date the letter. Also make a copy of the letter before you send it. I would maybe give them more than 5 days to respond. You have to consider how long it would take for the letter to reach them and for them to send a letter back to you. I felt your letter was nice, polite, formal and to the point. It is my experience you get better results being nice. If they don't give you what you think is fair then get angry. Your not actually mad at the person in corporate customer service so you'll only put that person on edge if you yell at her. Definitely include before and after pictures and let it be know how hurt you were by the treatment.

| Yes this is all correct. I worked in retail and have seen my cases of law suits and people falling to bad merchandise.. you need all this info. And if more the better, Store # Names of employees Time you were there Pictures of your puppies, before and after. Go again and ask them for a print out of the instructions If any witnesses. Ask to speak to STORE MANAGER.. not who ever is in charge at the time and specially not the same A$$hole that came when you asked for a manager. Ask the STORE MANAGER for their DISTRIC MANAGER'S name and #'s. THEY HAVE TO GIVE IT TO YOU!!!! After you contacted DISTRICT MANAGER, ask him for REGIONAL MANAGER or if he can give you # or email or office # of TOP DOG!!!! Thats how it works, in chains.!!! I worked for officemax, and complaints went like that. from store manager, to district, to regional, to ceo, to whole company. to even writting a letter to local newspaper to print out!!!! talk to lawyer about this. Most of them will see your case for free and will tell you what they can do. |

| I would definatly contact the corporate office and tell them everything that happened. If possible I would send pictures along to drive the point home. In contacting them I would be very upfront and direct on exactly what you want from them in return. This never should have happened especially if it was specifically in the computer, plain as day as to what you wanted! |

| I think a formal complaint letter to the corporate office and BBB would be a good idea. We have a fun show on our new channel called 10 on your side. The news exposes business or individuals that don't do the right thing. Maybe you could see if you have something like that in your area. Worth a shot and I bet petsmart would hate the publicity. I think the groomer needs to be let go. |
