I think Petsmart grew so big they just hire people on the spot and it really sounds like the employees need some better customer service training - it's just not right to see so many complaints and hear about so many bad grooming experiences with a company that large - they should have the money to train people right AND have them serving the customer as if the customer is King - cause we ARE ....

| I am so sorry for your horrible experience. My step daughter is a manager for Petsmart in the grooming dept. I need to share with her this story and advise her that I hope this never happens in her store. I will tell her she not only represents her store but all Petsmarts across the states and to share with her employees how your situation should have been handled in a much more professional matter. I feel Petsmart did not handle this situation well whatsoever. I hope you find a much better groomer for Remi and Martini and never have to go through this again.

| I know you are upset and with good reason. I would get an "in home" groomer..it is not cheap, but you have so much peace of mind. I tell people to write everything down, well as we know that is useless at Petsmart. I know there are good groomers working there, but for the most part it is so high volume, it doesn't allow time to it properly...They have to do it fast and get them out!! |

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | That is horrible! I agree with everyone here. I'd go right up the chain and if someone doesn't give you the answer you want to hear, I'd go up a step above them. You handled yourself very well. They would have had to take me out of cuffs. Also, someone mentioned contacting the Better Business Bureau. I would do that, too! Hugs and kisses from my babies to yours.

| That is horrible! I feel so bad for you and your furbabies! I agree with everyone here! I would write letters and report them to the better business bureau or something similar that can take some action. A few days ago, I purchased an at-home grooming kit for my babies. I am going to get TJ professionally groomed once, and after that I will just do the touch-up work. I think you should get one too so that you can groom them yourselves. My kit came with a DVD on how to do it and everything! |

| I have been told by three very close friends that Petsmart has had deaths in grooming due to the dryer boxes they use. I have and would NEVER have any of my furbabies groomed at ANY Petsmart! I only shop there when I have too because I cannot find something elsewhere. |

I'm so sorry that happened! I'm very suprised that a "Corporate" store treated you so badly. As one who has worked in the service industry...there is no excuse for that. If a customer is unhappy...their unhappy! You cut your losses and you give them a refund or offer some other kind of compensation. All it would take is for you to tell one person of your bad experience and voila...a hundred people know! I would write a letter to Corporate headquarters...get the name of the head of customer service in your area...and write a very calm, straight to the point letter as to what transpired there, and "how disappointed" you are in a store that has up to this point been one of your favorites to patronize. Leave the swearing out...it will give more ammunition to the Manager at the store on his counter-claim. . In the meantime...their hair will grow back..and I'm sure they are still adorable..."butch" cut or not! And for the future? I would bring in a picture of something close to what you want...cut it out of a pet magazine! Francie

| The picture is a good idea but it doesn't always work either. We took Boog to a new groomer with an 8 x 10 photo of him in his best hair cut ever but when we picked him up he looked nothing like it. We must have got the fruit loop of the day because you know what her excuse was? She said that was her 'interpretation' of what she saw in the photo...I was floored...needless to say we never went back there again! |

| I don't think I have ever been as mad or just plain hurt when this happened to me. I could not even speak. I even gave my cell number in case. After going through 4 groomers I found two terrific ladies that won't do anything unless they talk to me. I took a picture in with me and told them of my bad experience with Chloe. Mine was not at this particular place but I have heard some bad reports about their work in my town. |

| Ok I struggled thru this trying hard to leave the bad words out as much as I wanted to put them in. But I cleaned it up to sound like a lady. I did file a complaint with BBB too. This is what I have so far: Dear customer service, I regret having to write to you about an unpleasant experience I've had with your company. I prefer to contact a company only in praise of an employee or the company's actions. Unfortunately, my situation is such that it is necessary for me to forward a complaint to you. I have always been a loyal customer of your store for the past 6 years and have always given praise to your store and the service I was given. Over the years I have participated in your obedience training for my dogs along with taking my dogs to your grooming department. I recently had a very bad experience with your grooming department. I have brought my two Yorkshire Terriers to your establishment for grooming for the past two years. And this was my worst experience ever. At the time of my appointment I gave the groomer down to the letter of instructions on how to groom my Yorkie as I often do. And left my pets what I thought was in good hands. I was notified that my dogs grooming had been completed. When I arrive and my dogs were brought out from the back to my horror they were shaved bald. All the groomer could tell me was she groomed my dogs per my instructions. I asked to see the instructions she had entered in the computer stationed at the grooming appointment desk. When the groomer realized I did not ask for them to be shaved bald. I was told “they are just dogs and it will grow back” in a very rude manner. I requested to speak to the manager and to my disappointment he was no help. He offered to give me ½ off on any sweater in the store. When I informed him that I was an unhappy customer I was asked to pay for my service and asked to leave and never come back. I was not even given the common courtesy of an apology of my treatment. I entrusted my dogs to your staff to provide a service and my self and my dogs were treated with disrespect. I know that my dogs’ fur can not be replaced but I would like some kind of action taken and I also feel an apology is in order. I look forward to hearing from you. I hope you can respond within 5 business days, so that we are able to resolve this problem in a speedy fashion. Please let me know if I am getting my point across. Also any help would be welcome.
