I think most of it is common sense and looking things up.

It really bothers me to see heartworms downplayed, etc.
Oh and it's okay to use whatever toothpaste? Human toothpaste contains fluoride, so I don't think so! His practice style definitely makes me nervous.

lol the dental tech told me when i took dee dee in that no one needs tooth paste it is to give us fresh breath but the key is brush the teeth and get the tartar off. Drives me crazy as mine lick and lick and lick when trying to brush lol

No, we can't upload a pdf - do you have a program to turn it into a jpg? Because we could upload that if we could shrink it below 200k. I can try to convert it, but I'd need you to email me the file...

PLEASE forgive me if this issue has already been discussed...I am taking the girls to be spayed in the morning. I have to bring Cooper's updated shot record with me b/c she has not seen this vet before. This is not a problem b/c she just turned one year and is not due for her boosters until Oct.

My question is, can a vet refuse to see, treat, or perform surgeries/dental because you do not annually vaccinate?

Yes, any vet can make rules that have to be followed at their office. Sometimes talking to them about your concerns will lead to them saying it's okay to skip them, etc.

Im going to follow the sug. protocol my Nicki is very alergic to all vaccines so it is always an issue to get it done.

Maximo's first vet told me that he *must* stay overnight when he was neutered. The vet tech and the surgeon winked at me and told me that I could take him home that day -- and I did.

I later discovered that the animals are left all alone. Disgusting. Max would have been scarred for life. Luckily he was crying and barking his head off, so the office called me to pick him up early. He wanted to get home to his piddle pad and he must have been holding it for hours because he peed a lake.

Now I'm unhappy with our second vet. I really like him and his office, so I was deeply disappointed to discover that after our long discussion and agreement, he went ahead and gave Max the corona and parainfluenza vaccines.

no they usually don't and if they did I would switch vets as they should never vaccinate a sick dog nor a dog going under for surgery as that is not safe. The body should be at the healthiest state when vaccinating.

If your dog is allergic please be careful and discuss with vet what is only necessary and what preventative measures can be done prior to vaccine like benedryl

Did you say you were uncomfortable with corona or?
If you told the vet not to give it, then that would be illegeal for him to do it.

I agree and corona is a vaccine that imo not necessary

Crystal do you have any research info showing any cases of corona in dogs as that one vet said on the videos there are no confirmed cases of it and if so why are vets vaccinating for it?
