| ![]() I was reading where they had updated it in 2009, but I don't see a update so perhaps 2006 is the most recent.

| ![]() here is the link so i think this is the current info since on their website Vaccinating Your Dog this is what jumps out at me- GME - can stimulate the immune system against the body which is in maltese and yorkie breed What possible risks are associated with vaccination? Vaccine reactions, of all types, are infrequent. In general, most vaccine reactions and side effects (such as local pain and swelling) are self-limiting. Allergic reactions are less common, but if untreated can be fatal. These can occur soon after vaccination. If you see such a reaction, please contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. In a small number of patients, vaccines can stimulate the patient’s immune system against his or her own tissues, resulting in diseases that affect the blood, skin, joints or nervous system. Again, such reactions are infrequent but can be life threatening. There is a possible complication of a tumor developing at the vaccination site in a small number of pets, most frequently cats. Please contact your veterinarian for more information Last edited by dwerten; 05-30-2010 at 05:17 PM. |

| ![]() I strongly disagree with the practice and think it can be terribly dangerous in a lot of cases. However, I don't think somebody needs to write a book to expose this. Hey, I could write a book about that and make the money off of it. lol
