Hi Lolasmom! Thank you for your offer to send the frog. At the rate Tink is sucking on her little frog, it may well be a good idea to have a backup for the backup!;) Tink really relies on that little frog for comfort. She has loved it since the day I brought it home. I bought several different ones at the same time and she tore them all apart except the frog! Isn't that interesting that she would latch onto that particular toy? I very much appreciate your offering to give up your baby's frog. I'll PM you my address. |
My Lola is less than 2 lbs and it would take her a year to tear one of these toys up! I will send this to you first thing in the morning. I will also go back to my Target to double check and see if they have extras! |

How thoughtful...another frog...another prayer answered. I want to thank you so very much for thinking of Tink. Lola sweety, you have a wonderful, kind hearted mom!!! Susie, I'm glad you brought up the subject of Tink's hind legs...I was afraid to ask, it seems as though she does have feeling in them, you said you could feel some resistance while exercising her. That is promising...she just needs more time and therapy to get the strength back to move them. That will be the subject of my future prayers to our Almighty...may he grace you with answers. Did you remember to whisper in Tink's ear..."Winston loves you"? I believe he was dreaming about her today...he was in a pretty deep sleep but his nose kept twitching and even though his eyes were closed tight I could see them moving beneath his eyelids...and his little paws kept strecthing out as if he was trying to sooth her...pet her...help her...love her. |

She is going to be as the hospital tomorrow with Barb while she's working. So, I'm taking an extended lunch and going to see her and give her lots of snuggles and kisses. I won't get to see her for a week. I hope she won't hink I've abandoned her. I am so very worried about that. I've only worn two night shirts this week so my scent would be well into the fabric. I'm taking them to Barb tomorrow so Tink can have them close. When I get to the rehab center someone will be able to bring her for visits now and again. I wish I knew that she will remember me when I get home. Argh!!!:cry::unlove: |

I have Tink's frog all packed up and ready to mail out tomorrow. I even stopped into Target this morning hoping that maybe there'd be one stray frog in the toy bin but no luck. I did find a little something else there that I added to her package though. :D Glad Tink has another frog coming her way - hopefully she'll have a whole toy box full of the little green boogers! Prayers to you and Tink. |

I know in my heart that your Tink will always remember you Susie...don't you worry about that. She knows a good thing when she sees it...and that good thing is you!!! Who will be keeping us updated...on your progress, as well as Tinks? Know that you and Tink will be utmost on my mind, in my prayers and that I only want the very best outcome for you both. Imagine this...you and Tink doing therapy together...urging each other on to keep working hard towards that goal...long walks together. That's just what the doctor ordered...and that's what you'll both be doing before you know it. Good luck on Tuesday...don't worry Tink is in very good hands...she'll be working hard and waiting to see you again real soon. Hugs...Susie...rest well tonight...see Tink tomorrow and don't forget to tell her somebody loves her, lots of somebodies...including Winston and I. |
Susie, Tink will not forget you and what a good idea to give her your nightshirts as a comforter. That will bring her a calming feeling when she lays on them, sniffs her Momma. Glad you will be able to see her tomorrow again, and remember the phone is close by to talk with her and Barb. Warmly, Deborah |
Tink will remember............I have no doubts. She has everything about you stashed away in her mind from smells to voice to touch!!! She will remember YOU!!!!:thumbup: |
thanks everyone. I just keep remembering that the neurologist said she wouldn't have much short term memory. She really hasn't been altert long enough to be able to tell what she remembers. I'm just going to hold on to the words you all are speaking. Positive thinking Susie! |
Susie - please enjoy all your time with Tink tomorrow. Let her know that we are all thinking of her and our thoughts will carry her through till you can see her again. Our thoughts will also carry you through your surgery and rehab. I'm so glad Tink has another frog on the way. It warms my heart to see all the love and caring here. It is what I originally loved about YT and I'm glad to see it again. |

Prayers for you and Tink.:angel2dl: |
Sweet Tink Susie, I was looking for a vid of Tink, and for our new members to see your beautiful Tink (she is always in a beautiful dress). Soon she will be back to playing again, and short term memory isn't so bad. Long term means she will never forget you! She just needs time to heal, and always remember Susie, we are in "your pocket". Warmly, Deborah and Charlie |
Thanks Deborah for the video...Get well soon Tink...we love you little girl!!! |
Good Morning,Susie It is a day closer to your surgery, and removing the pain from your knee. Beautiful in Seattle this morning, and sending warm thoughts with this message from me and Charlie Barley. Please give Miss Tink a kiss on her precious cheek from the both of us. Warmly, Deborah |
Susie, there is no way Tink will forget you much less in a week's time. When they have been loved by someone they never, never forget them. That should be your last concern so don't even think about that. Great idea for Tink to have you scent around her during that period. It will comfort her for sure. I am so happy for you and Tink. She is such a little trooper and working so hard to come back home to you when your threw with youe own recooperation. Think about that reunion. What a day that is going to be. Have a safe surgery and a complete, successful recooperation. Prayer's coming for both of you. |
Sending prayers for you both |
