so glad to hear you have moved onto the next step! Praying for healing and diminished pain. How thrilling that you got to spend time with Tink!! Love hearing her reaction to seeing you! |
Sending Healing prayers to Suzie and Little Tink. |
Winston just came running in here, I picked him up and he instantly kissed the computer screen...he's sending Tink kisses!!! |
Thanks for the update, Susie. I hope your rehab goes really well for you and your back home before you thought you'd be. Wow, that was great that Tink came to visit you. I pray that both you & Tink make a full recovery. :hands: |
Susie, that's the best news ever! ... you are doing ok and you got to see Tink!! See, she didn't forget you. Wishing you both a speedy recovery. You are both in my prayers. Happy Mother's Day! Sheilagh |
Thank you so much for the wonderful update on both of you! I am praying that you and Tink continue to improve and will be back home together soon! God bless you both! |
Thanks for the update and glad you feeling ok ! Great you got to hold Tink :D |
Susie Happy Mother's Day. That is such good news, Susie that you have been discharged and onto to the next stage of recovery. I thought about you on the third day, and always remember that is the day you want to "bite a bullet". As for Miss Tink, what wonderful and exciting news that her front legs are moving (back ones will be next), she was excited to see you and especially that you were able to hold her. Thank you so very much for posting, and once again there are tears in my eyes reading about Tink. What a little brave girl. Warmly, Deborah and Charlie |
Hi All. I got my suitcase today with my cell phone charger and clean clothing! Now my cell is charging so I should be able to make some calls later today. At least I have an excuse for all the typos now. My fingers are numb in my left hand so I'm not doing a very good job typing. Hey, at least I have hands to type with. Right?! Barb wanted to bring Tink to see me today but with 9 million moms here I thought it just might be a little too much for both of us. Can you imagine all the grandchildren wanting to pet Tink?! OMGoodness. So, maybe tomorrow afternoon or the next day. Tink is eating food fine now from Barb's hand. She doesn't want it from a bowl tho. She is doing very well. Her seizures are well controlled with a different dose of meds so I'll have to learn about that before I take her home. I'm feeling pretty well. Very sore and achey but that's to be expected. I think my hand will heal pretty quickly once they start therapy on it tomorrow. I can feel my knee moving on itself now. It's such an odd feeling. It's like nothing I know how to describe! Well, I'm going to go dink around on the site for awhile and see who's done what recently. Thanks everyone for your continued good thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. |
Susie, Your posts are such a joy - filled with good news about both you girls! How unselfish of you to wait a day to see Tink. I know that must be hard. I don't know if you saw my post about brand-new frogs from Target - but I have 2 if Tink wants them both! Please PM your address and I will get them in the mail to you today! |
Great to hear from you Susie.I just knew Tink would come to see you in hospital.I can just imagine her wriggling like a puppy:D May both of you continue to progress well. Sheila |
Great to hear from you Susie...sorry I missed you. All seems to be progressing smoothly, rehab after knee surgery can be grueling...but before you know it, you'll be able to go home and Tink can soon join you there. Sorry you're having some trouble with your hand...but again, therapy should remedy that. Looking forward to your homecoming...that will be a day of celebration. Tink is improving every minute, glad to hear the seizures are being controlled. I see her as a puppy again, having to relearn everything she once knew. The eating, drinking, going potty...her wiggling like a pup...as if she were reborn. And as with pups, the front end moves much sooner then the rear...hopefully she will learn again how to utilize the back legs. Time will tell...as I continue my never ending thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself...and Tink will do the same...after all she's her momma's girl. Hugs!!! |
You and Tink are in our thoughts. |

We're still thinking and praying for you two. Sending lots of hugs from Iowa! |
We are glad everyone is doing so well. We are still keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. You just have to believe! It will all work out and soon you and Tink will be back together recooperating together at home. Take care and hurry home. |
Just checking in for my daily Tink fix:) |
Good morning, Susie. Sounds like everything is progressing accordingly, both you and Tink are recovering at a nice, slow pace. Gourmet breakfast and fluffed pillows? :-). So glad you are receiving outside care before you go home, and Barb will take care of Tink until you are ready for her to snuggle down in your arms. Take good care and it is wonderful that Tink is becoming stronger every day. Charlie sends her a special hug with a gentle kiss on her forehead. It would be improper to kiss her on those sweet lips since well, you know...decorum. Warmly, Deborah and Charlie |
Hi Susie, It's so nice to see you both doing well. Yay. Hope you enjoyed your visit with your precious Tink yesterday. How's therapy going for you? No pain, no gain as the saying goes but hope there's not too much pain for you. Prayer's coming that you both continue to get well ASAP. Bud and I will look for a frog for Tink as well this weekend out shopping. Tink will be so happy to have her own frog collection.:D Hope your running before long;) and Tink too. Hugs to both of you, |
I am so glad to hear such great news. I bet Tink was beside herself when she came to see you. I can just picture her wiggling and squirming to get to her momma. Wishing you both speedy recoveries. |
Just stopping in to say you are both in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the news continues to be good. Hugs. Sheilagh |
Hi All! I got to see the Tinkerbrat tonight! Barb and Pete came about 7:00 and just left a few minutes ago. They brough tink in her purse carrier. She fit beautifully since she can't stand. She was so good. She licked and licked my face. She really didn't want to be held much; she wanted to go exploring which of course she can't do. But she sure wanted to. It was so cute. She kept trying to sniff my knee which is all bandaged up and covered with a TED stocking. She didn't like the smell of it. Funny little girl. I finally did get to hold her for about 10 minutes. She is eating well and feeling very inquisitive. Pete said that is good and the more she seeks out, the more chance she has of turning short term memory into long-term memories. Yay Tinkerbelle! I'm really tired tonight and now is about the time I start posting, but I need to find my bed and get ready to sleep in it til tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to stay on longer and post more. Thanks for the prayers and candles everyone. Hugs! |
Susie I Love that post :) ((((HUGS)))) Hun. I was going to call you tonight but I'll wait. You need your rest. Love ya, Lori |
Happy Tuesday's Evening :) Hi, Susie. Well, well, well...Miss Tink is beginning to sound like herself. She is definitely improving every day, just like her Momma. Imagine you are exhausted by the end of the day and hope the meds are settling with your tummy. Take good care and thank you so much for posting. Warmly, Deborah and Uncle Charlie |
Thanks so much for the update Susie. So glad Tink continues to show improvement. Hope you are following Dr's orders as well!!!!! How is your therapy progressing? Sending you both continued thoughts, prayers and hugs!!!!!! |
Hi Susie! It's so good to hear from you again. :) That is wonderful that Tink got to come and see you. I hope your hand returns to "normal" quickly - having some body part numb like that is hard to deal with. I know, my brain has been numb for quite some time. :yelrotflm Re - hab is hard work. Praying for strength for you AND Tink. :) Blessings.. |
Happy news.. I'm pleased Tink is doing so well and that you got to spend time with her. Praying your recovery is swift and you're both back on your feet again. Sheilagh |
Hi! Just got back from PT - whew what a tough morning. I got up at 3:00 and watched some TV, read for awhile, had a lovely cup of coffee and then went back to bed at 6:30 feeling rather peckish. Woke up at 7:30 feeling quite ill but made it to my 10:00 PT appt. Today was pretty much the same exercizes but they were much more difficult for some reason. I am getting the feeling back in my fingers - that's good. But got some new pains in my back and leg - not good. We'll deal with it though. No news yet today about Tink. I'll probably call Barb later this afternoon and check on her. See y'all later. |
Hope you have a great day, I am glad your recovery is going well. |
Thanks for the continued updates, Susie. I'm sorry your therapy didn't go too well today, pain wise. :( I hope tomorrow's session gets better for you. Oh my gosh, your dear Tink, I'm glad she's showing improvement. What a fighter she is. Hang in there. Better days to come. :) :getwellso Susie & Tink. |
