Susie, I'm sorry you didn't get to see Tink yesterday, hopefully you were able to see her today. Is it silly that you miss her that much? I think it would be silly if you didn't ;) They ARE our babies! They depend on us and need us and give us unconditional love. How could we not love them? That is great news about her blood tests! woo hoo Tink! You go girl :) I try to check on Tink everyday. She has touched a special place in my heart. I wish you and Tink all the best. You both deserve it. Tammy, Abby and Daisy |
I'm glad to hear tink is showing improvement |
I am so happy that Tink continues to improve. I know it will be a long hard road for her, but I believe she will recover! I will continue to pray for her. |
Praying for continued progress for Tink and a safe surgery for you. |

Hey, busy lady.... we all need our update or we won't sleep well!!!:) Sorry you miss your little baby so much. I understand that. I guess we don't realize how much we love these little critters till we don't have them around us. I'm so glad to hear she is doing a bit better! Every day is one step closer. Hey - you and Tink can learn to walk again together. You probably don't think that's funny.... Stay healthy and keep us Tink addict informed!!! |
That was supposed to say "addicts." Thought I would catch it before you did.:p |
Sorry you missed out on being with Tink today.........Hope Barb gets well quick so you can get back over to see Miss Tink before your surgery! Glad she is doing better. |

I had my final visit with the surgeons and the hospital staff today! I got my one last chance to back out and wait for a few more months. I have until Friday to make up my mind. but it took me so long to make the original decision, that I really don't want to postpone it any longer, but on the other hand, it is soooo tempting. The surgeon is really worried about infection with my lovely "extenuating circumstances". I wasn't even thinking about it until he told me how concerned he is. Great! Now I have something else to think about. But NO, I won't think about it. God can handle that for me. I know He will. Who's gonna take Tink out to potty if I can't walk? So see, it will all be good. What was I fussin' about?!:p HEY, here's a smilie of Tink in a month or two - whada ya think?:doghop: Here's what I think! :) I was so late tonight because I was at hospital this afternoon and then to see Tink later and then to church to run sound for the missionary speaker who's here from Haiti and the program ran late - very late. But we had a grand evening! Thanks for checking on us everyone.:friendsh: |
I think you've been talking to Vicky too much...."A grand evening???" LOL No, I don't think you should back out either. Just my humble, uninformed decision. Don't you think the drs. tell us the worst outcomes to cover their butts? Of course it does help to make an informed decision, but sometimes it can be a bit scary to think of all the things that could happen. (but won't to you. :D) Ummm, you saw Tink today but you didn't say how she is doing.:confused: I'm assuming the same as yesterday, then????? |
Susie...is your surgery on Friday? I'm praying for you and Tink both! You are both amazing!!! |
:confused:Have you tried Nutri-Cal. My dogs love it no matter how sick they are. Sounds like she may need some much needed high-calorie dietary supplement. Hopefully that will give her all the vitamins she needs to survive. Good luck and hugs and kisses:love: and:kiss: |
Checking in and Saying added prayers.. ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to you both! |
Hi Susie, I have been lurking in the background and reading, crying and smiling.Hoping your surgery all goes well.Perhaps Tink could go to see you. When I was in hospital they allowed me down to the foyer to see my dogs.I will alway's remember the first time I was in hospital,I was in a private room and my husband smuggled my beloved Trixie in concealed in a shopping bag.He jammed the door shut with a chair.I haven't got a clue what they would have said if they had found out.He said it was worth it for the smile on my face.Any way, sounds like things are coming on slowly with Tink. It's great all these little steps.Thinking about you and prayers coming your way. Sheila |
Susie - I love this... :doghop:. This will definitely be Tink soon!!!!! Now, take care of yourself and only positive thoughts for your health and for Tink.s!!!!! |
Hey Susie - how goes everything? Anything new on our Tinkerbelle???? How are you feeling about your surgery now? You are always on my mind and heart.:) |
Thanks everyone for your concern for me. My surgery is next Tuesday at 7:15ish am. I'm looking forward to it. A couple days of tough pain and then a few weeks of not so much fun pain and then just healing pain. But after I heal, there will be no more pain from that corner! BUT the GRAND news is that Tink got to come to visit ME today! Peter brought her over to my apartment at 5:00 and I got to keep her until 8:00. Then he came and took her back. It was marvelous, absolutely wonderful, and utterly delightful! I am soooooo happy I can hardly even tell you. She was so excited to be home - I wish I had thot to ask Peter to try to get a video. She was moving her little front legs and trying to thrust her body toward me. Peter was laughing - he said he wasnt one bit suprised. " I cease to be amazed by this little girl" is what he said. She was making a little noise like a squeaky toy - I don't know what happened to her voice. I fed her from my hand and she ate it all! Then I sat in my rocker and held her and she went to sleep for about 40 minutes. I couldn't hold her the whole time so I put her in her bed for part of the time. She seemed perfectly comfortable. Yay Tinkerbelle!~ My little furbaby. I think she's gonna make it. |

Thanks for the continued updates and we'll be sending you healing energy and prayers as well!!!!!! |
What wonderful news!! Thank God that Tink is healing. I will continue to pray for you both. I just know that you both will be fine!! I know that Tink's improvement helps you too! :) |
Oh, Susie that is the most wonderful news. Tink in her home, moving her little legs, eating and "yes", she will be whole again. Reading about Tink just makes me sob and not out of sadness but joy. The both of you just touch my heart. The song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is in my head, so the next time you have Tink, would you sing a few bars from Charlie and me to her? |
oooh, Susie! I am so happy about this news, I have tears of Joy, that God is sooo very awesome. Thank you Lord for the miracles you perform, your Love is seen in this little pup Tink. Thank you God! This is the perfect send off to your surgery. Such a relief for you and your healing. Very happy for you both!! :D  |
I also had tears of joy that is so awesome. We will continue to keep Tink and you in our prayers. |
OMG! It's been a crazy day and a crazier evening, so imagine my joy when I make the quick hit to see how lil Tink is doing. I wish you could see the smile on my face!:) HUGE, GIGANTIC, ENORMOUS HUGS to both of you. And, of course, big sloppy Yorkie kisses. Tink, we all could learn a whole lot from you sweetie ... |
You're so positive. What a wonderful mommy you are to Tink. You are both so lucky. I know at times like this a sense of humor goes a long way. You are both in my mind often. Keep praying. |
Your update is the best news I've heard all day and I'm thrilled for you and Tink! I can't wait for the day when you two can be together again and enjoying life...both of you recovered and feeling fine! I'm so glad she got to come home for a while. That had to have done you both good! Bless your heart...and Tink's too! Hugs to you, Susie! I'm praying for both of you! |
