This morning when I woke up at 4:00 for no good reason, I soon found one. My cell phone was beeping that I had a text message. At first I thot' it was Lori (DaisyMae06) or my sister cause they text me at odd hours. But it was the vet school. They left me a message that Tink was holding her head up! So at 6:00 when they open, I called to ask if I could come then and they said they would prefer to have the day with her and I could come in the afternoon. Disappointment! But I tried my best to wait and then realized I had to anyway because I had appointments this afternoon for my surgery that I couldn't cancel. But it was all good. I got there at 5:30 and Barb was just finishing up feeding her OUT OF HER HAND! Can you believe that?! I was so shocked and happy; tears falling and mascara running. I went over to the little area where they were feeding her and Barb said "Now, call her name and watch her." So I did. First I just said, "Tinkerbelle!" And her head moved. And as I'm grinning, I said, "Hi my Tink baby!" Her head came right up - wobbly, but up - and she looked right at me! And then down it went again. Barb was grinning and I was grinning and Tink went to sleep. I think that is a miracle! Keep praying everyone. We may get there yet. She sure has started the journey. Tears here too. Keep it up Tink!!!:cheer::coolsmile |

Sorry to be so late posting tonight. I have so many things to do to get ready for the surgery and work is crazy! I saw Tink at lunchtime and she was sleeping the whole time I was there so I didn't bother her. I did see the vet tho and he was very pleased with her progress. He told me not to get too excited tho because they move forward and then they slide back too. That's OK, I can deal with it. I want her to be my snuggle pie again. I hope she can be. If not, God will help me deal with letting her go if it comes to that. We aren't anywhere near there yet tho. I went back tonight after I left work about 7:30 and stayed 'til 9:00 when they kicked me out.;) Another little Great victory today - Tink rolled over on her own several times! She is trying to hold her head up like she did last night with a little bit of success. She is eating from the syringe well and will take moist food from Karen's hand but not Don's. That's all for today. Nothing huge, but still hopeful! Thanks everyone for you messages that hold me up and for the prayers that take the stress away. |
Well, thoughts and prayers for your both -- x10!!! BIG, BIG, BIG hugs and lots of sloppy Yorkie kisses, too. |
Just wanted you to know I am still thinking of you and TInk and check everyday for updates. Good luck with everything, I'm sure this is very hard on you. |
Oh, Susie, every day bring a bit of improvement for Tink. Thank you for the good news. Warmly, Deborah and Charlie |
