Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Spring Rolls - anyone make them? I lovelovelove fresh spring rolls (not fried). We like the ones w/ just the shrimp (not the meat). Anyone have tips on making homemade ones? And, do you have a brand of spring roll dip you like? Thanks foodies !

| There are a lot of videos out there about it. I was watching something the other day on TV on how to make them and they seem to be pretty simple. I can't wait to try to make them myself. Yum, I love them as well.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | CaptNoonie, I totally thought you'd have me ALL squared away by now w/ the spring rolls. I feel you are neglecting the Food Forum, and I am co-dependent on you in this section. Please step it up a few notches, gawd.

| Not sure if this is what you are looking for. But I have a sauce I get for Spring Rolls but the ones I make are fried. The sauce is Mae Ploy Spring Roll Sauce. It is awesome!!!

| The fried ones are very similar. I think the best way to describe them is that the "shell" is not as thick. I have never heard of the ones that are not fried. But I did google them out of curiosity. Here is what I found. Don't know if this is the right rolls or not! G?i Cu?n - Spring Roll | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Then you dip it in nuoc mom (not sure if I spelled that right), it's a fish sauce blend with minced garlic, pickled carrot and daikon. Or, a peanut based thicker sauce with sriracha mixed in. ETA: Oh yeah, have plenty of fresh mint, basil, and cilantro on hand. I just say no to cilantro.

Thanks for sharing! It would be very hard for me to give up my fried ones! We have used chicken, pork, and even hamburger meat in ours. They are so yummy! I bet the shrimp would be good in the fried too. Just haven't ever tried it.

| The spring rolls are delicious. They aren't as naughty as the egg rolls so you can eat more

| I have a dear friend who is Vietnamese and she is going to show me how to make them in a few weeks. I'll ping you then. Her salad rolls are to die for. Sauce wise, use soy, ginger, garlic, seseme oil, a litle Shiracha, sugar, water, lime, for a nice sauce. |

| If she is vietnamese, for sure she is using fish sauce and not soy sauce.
