I don't think you understand what I am saying about physical signs of life or death struggle opposed to a scuffle, what treatment would be given if serious blunt head trauma was suspected, etc. There are certain healthcare guidelines that are followed in all aspects of care, even care rendered at the scene of an accident by EMS. His lack of transfer to a hospital tells me his physical appearance on exam showed negligible (if any) injury. Unless, of course, he was adament about not going to the hospital and was made to sign Against Medical Advice paperwork. These treatment protocols are strictly followed.

I really do not understand the justification of this man's actions. I also don't understand why he still had a weapon, was serving as a neighborhood watchman, etc.

He has a violent arrest record. One arrest for domestic violence. Two different incidents of resisting arrest towards a police officer. Not exactly your
upstanding citizen. Shows a propensity for violent behavior. Unfortunately, his father is a retired district magistrate in the county where he has exhibited this violent behavior.

Unfortunately, bc the police did George a favor and did not follow protocol, his clothing was not seized for the investigation. This will make things harder to prove or disprove. He was not given the mandatory drug/alcohol test. He also did not have his weapon confiscated until an investigation was completed - also mandatory protocol.

I am not talking about what he did AFTER the 911 call. I am merely pointing out that this man was not just going about his business while carrying a gun. He was FOLLOWING someone he deemed SUSPICIOUS. Those were his words...not mine. What rational person does that? If I saw a person I thought was suspicious, I would not follow him...I would call the police and let them handle it. When people take classes to carry guns, they are taught not to be in situations like Zimmerman was in. He was SO irresponsible it is mind boggling....at least in MY opinion. We all have one of those.

But not all get the attention they deserve. This case has political use for many that have jumped all over it to further their agendas. My heart goes out to the parents and family of Trayvon Martin AND to the family of Zimmerman.

How about this one that has been given hardly any attention? It has no import for those trying to further their own agenda, but is just as heinous......

This is an easy one: we KNOW he didn't stop following Trayvon because Zimmerman was NOT at his truck (like the police instructed him to be) but was with Trayvon.

If he had listened to the police, then he would be at his truck waiting to give a statement. Instead, he was standing over the bloody body of a 17 year old kid armed with Skittles....that he had just shot.

These cases are nothing alike. I don't even understand why you would post this? Yes, we know black people commit crimes, but has Tyrone Woodfork been released like Zimmerman was? I totally agree with you that people are posting these things to further their own agenda. This shouldn't even be about race, this is about people taking the law into their own hands, and shooting people they think look suspicious.

This is how I understand it as well. Zimmerman called, reported his suspicions, police asked if he was following Trayvon, Zimmerman said yes, police asked him not to, Zimmerman continued anyway. That's pretty darn provocative, at least it is in my mind -- he did exactly what the police know is NOT a good idea for a citizen to do. Tracking and finding reported 'suspicious people' is what police do.

If you are a watchman, are carrying a gun, and tracking someone you deem "suspect"...you're not just reporting a potential crime, you are potentially getting involved in a suspected crime, and at that point, even may end up being the sole perpetrator of a crime...while the victim was never intending a crime at all.

How is that so much worse than shooting them because they have money they want or are just trying to get food from a fast-food store? Killing for whatever reason is horrible - what makes looking suspicious any worse than looking prosperous or looking vulnerable or looking distracted or someone not wanting to join shooter's gang as a reason for killing? And according to Zimmerman's lawyer, he did stop following him when instructed by the civilian dispatcher, went back to his vehicle but returned to the block only when the dispatcher asked him for the address and that is where & when the fight & shooting occurred. Why isn't that being widely reported? It was reported by the ex-lawyers. There is are news reports out there now on Google of a black man not being arrested for killing a Hispanic man - the dead man possibly being mentally impaired - and he was unarmed too. That shooter took the law in his own hands. I wonder if CNN and all the news networks, political leaders and D.C. will get involved in that case? I wonder if that armed shooter will become the second most hated man in America.

I find it interesting that you are ready to believe Zimmerman's lawyer and not Trayvon's girlfriend. All these points will be brought up at the trial, but this is about "probable cause", not if he's guilty or not. The question right now is "Is there enough information to arrest him for murder?" You want to answer "Yeah, but Zimmerman had a cut on his head, therefore, Trayvon attacked him, and it was self-defense.” All you have to ask yourself is do you think there is enough information to arrest the man. Many of us think there is enough evidence to arrest the man. I don’t think you should worry about who’s the most “hated man in America or the second”. Newscasters use terms like this to get ratings. Zimmerman will have his day in court. Really, if you are comparing these two cases, you really sound very prejudiced. Why should the second case get all that attention, the guy has been arrested, so why do you think people should get involved in the case, do you see some injustice being done? The Zimmerman case is getting national attention because the police let him go and Zimmerman admitted killing Trayvon. Has Tyrone admitted killing anyone? Have the police let him go? If Tyrone admits it and the police let him go, you can bet your yorkie that there will be riots in the streets and it will get national attention.

What is someone tracks me home from the grocery store because I look prosperous but vulnerable on a cane and takes the law in their hands & kills me without any provocation whatsoever, though I'm unarmed, and I'm lying there on the ground just as certainly dead, is that not every bit as heinous? I think people killing unarmed people cannot be so categorized as so much worse as this case is - while other killings are read about, quietly even sadly acknowledged and life goes on in most cases. But in some, everyone gets so upset over that crime, bounties are exacted, basketball teams protest, other protests are held all over the country, politicians and civil rights leaders speak up & TV news & Google explode with repeated reports of 99% reporting only one side of the story. I don't think there would be anywhere near the outrage if I were stalked & murdered in the manner I mentioned above, even if the shooter were of a different race. I wonder why?

You must have missed my post where I said even ex-lawyers' reports could be untrue. I reported what they said as it seemed no one had heard that or read it. But I also acknowledged in more than one post that that is what they said and thought those that hadn't heard it might want to know that side. Never purported it to be true or said I believe them. They could be falsifying the same as any witness.
