Nope, she'll stay in "protective custody"...which she admits she likes. She is treated special and gets extra attention.

Too bad CAYLEE wasn't in anyone's protective custody. No one is able to give Caylee attention and treat her special.

This whole trial disgusts me! This morning a juror actually admitted, yes, the chloroform was found in her car, and yes, someone search on how to make chloroform on the computer, but they couldn't prove that it was her who actually used it so we disregarded that evidence! Are you kidding me? I had to turn the tv off and walk away just shaking my head!

What you need to understand is that the people are more likely to be put on death row for murdering a white person versus a non-white. That is the crucial information your are missing:

Why point out the % of white victims in death penalty cases vs all murders of whites as a %? Obviously, not all murders are death penalty cases. There usually has to be some aggravating factor, such as murder in the commission of another crime.

Also, the comparison of those being executed more often for killing whites than others is misleading. Though there is far more black on black crime as a whole, the conviction rate is less for these crimes often due to lack of cooperation by witnesses.

While racism is not dead, it affects death penalty (really all) cases less than you imply IMO. The biggest factor is money...as in we have the best justice system that money can buy. Defendants relying on Public Defenders are convicted at a much higher rate than those that can afford good council.

I have no idea why this has been brought up, except for the mentioning of Casey being a 'pretty white girl'. OJ was not a pretty white girl, but he had excellent lawyers.

Frankly, I'm a little offended by the mention of all this. It had nothing to do with this trial, so why bring it up?

Quite frankly I'm offended that you didn't read all of my posts before saying that what I brought up was "innapropriate" because I took great care into asking and making sure people understand what I was asking/why I was asking and that I meant to not offend anyone.

I don't understand why you addressed my post to you by quoting a post I made to someone else rather than the one I directed at you. So, for clarity, I'm including my post that you are obviously responding to, along with your post that my comments were directed at.

What I bolded and underlined in your first quoted post is what I mean about this being inappropriate and offensive. You not only provide misleading data, you draw a conclusion and say that is what needs to be understood. That is your conclusion, not necessarily anyone else's. We are all adults here and don't need to be told what to think.

You're also assuming I didn't read other posts before commenting. Not true. Why do you think I would be less offended by reading more anyway? Another flawed conclusion. It still doesn't change what you said and the condescending manner in which you said it, so, your apparent assumption that I would have said something different just doesn't cut it. You revealed some sort of agenda by pointing out what you think needs to be understood, a feeling not shared by all. It may be your opinion, but it doesn't go any further than that.

I don't believe that one can post something offensive and ask that no one be offended by it, which is what you are doing. It really is a simple thing and doesn't need a third degree to be understood. The data is argumentative and your tone is condescending, a tone which you have carried over into your reply to me. We're not dummies here and are perfectly capable of comprehension.

Hope this is not too much of a rant, everyone, but I don't like personal agendas shoved down my throat and I don't like being talked down to.

Just in - she is going to be released 7/13! Good behavior gets her released on that date, but as Bitsy said there are no children in jail to kill so of course she had good behavior! (no friend's checks to steal, no grandfather's nursing home $ to steal, no mother's credit card to steal...)

It didn't take long to decide that date. I thought she was a little too friendly with Baez in court this morning. Wonder if she will keep in touch with him when she gets out?

I would think someone who was "wrongly" incarcerated would have a harder time being pleasant to the guards, Casey knew she should be there and the guards said she was pleasant and cheery. Wonder if Baez will hire her as a babysitter for his children? I mean she's such a loving mother.

So...just started reading about this case, last week I think (no US news in my house) and I couldn't believe the outcome. I don't understand why other charges weren't sought out, and I think the prosecution signed her "get out of jail free card" when they went after the maximum punishment in this case (death penalty). I think they would have been able to get her locked up for at least 15-20 (not what she deserves but something) and pushed for negligent homicide rather than manslaughter. I think it would have been easier to push the jury that way. But a slap on the wrist for this is just outrageous!
Personally, I think she'll get a book deal (but it won't sell as well as they'll project) and will sell the rights to some studio but they wont be able to find an actress willing to play the part, at least no big name one. And once the dust settles and she realizes she's no longer in the limelight she'll find some other destructive way to get her thrust back into the medias attention.
I do think she needs to seek professional help, she shows signs of extreme attention seeking personality behaviors. Very similar to moms who slowly kill their children to gain sympathy from friends and family.
I hope she doesn't find anyone willing to reproduce with her...she really isn't fit to be a mother.

Too funny....I said the same about the female attorney that she had on her defense team. She was hugging and crying when they heard the verdict. I turned and told my husband, "Wonder if she would be willing to let Casey babysit her grandchildren??"

On Monday morning, Judge Perry told the jurors in the Casey Anthony trial that aggravated manslaughter requires two elements. “To find aggravated manslaughter of a child, the State must prove beyond a reasons doubt two elements” Perry told the Court. First, the jury must find Caylee Marie Anthony is dead. Second, they must find that Casey Anthony’s acts caused the death of Caylee or that the death of the Caylee was caused by culpable negligence by Casey Anthony.

Even if the jurors believed she drowned in the pool, she should have been found guilty of the third charge she was charged with, aggravated manslaughter. I don't think they listened to the instructions or read them during deliberations.

I'm sorry, I'm just so tired of hearing these "talking heads" on tv saying the prosecution overcharged/overreached. Three different options were given to these jurors as to what level of participation they believed Casey partook in from premeditating a murder, to a death that resulted from an act of child abuse or an attempt at an act of child abuse, to aggravated manslaughter - the definition of which I listed above. I need to quit watching these talking heads! That's it, I'm going to break down and do housework!

Yep...you are 100% right. That is the LEAST they could have found her guilty of regarding her daughter.

SHE GETS OUT IN SIX DAYS. I AM SO DISGUSTED!!!!!!! (sorry for the all caps...but I really wanted to yell it!)
