I will be picking her up (If i do decide to get her which I am not sure that I am, I posted a thread looking for breeders on here because it seems like the people on her know what they are talking about) at 8 WEEKS my mother and I would prefer her to stay longer. So we will discuss that with the breeder when we visit her next week. So we will see how that goes. But anways I never said I'll be taking her at 6 weeks so please do not imply or state that I have. | Am I the only one here who DOESN'T think this is the same puppy? Even though the picture quality is horrible in that 1st pic...it looks as though the puppy has an all gold, square muzzle at 5 weeks, and now has a much darker, pointy muzzle. The shape and size of the head, muzzle and ears is totally different for being only a week older. I could be wrong...but, IMO..the pics show two different pups. Look at the pics side by side....

That is exactly what I noticed that shot was taking about 4 1/2, 5 weeks. the new picture was just a couple days ago at about 7 weeks so shes like 2 or so weeks older but yes. It seems like her nose got more point and shes not chubby or gold. But if you see the first picture that I took whens he was 2 weeks she was dark then she was gold now shes dark again. I know its gotta be the same one though because shes the only one with a little white marking on her chest. Yeah she just looks different and I know they change but i mean drastic dont you think? | I think she looks fine too. They are growing so fast that a couple weeks can make a big difference at that age. I'm not going to get on the CKC bandwagon, since my Sophie is also CKC, but be aware of what you are getting. CKC papers are much much easier to get than AKC papers, and most breeders that have had their AKC license revoked, go to CKC. As for the breeding, I debated for a while weather to breed Sophie just once and finally decided against it. My Sophie has grade 1 bilateral luxating patellas so she wasn't a great candidate for being a mom. In addition, I just read a thread the other day about someone who lost all her puppies over the course of the 1st week. That is heartbreaking and I'm sure she also incurred a lot of vet bills. This breed is so tiny and you have to be careful to find a small male, it just gets complicated. I had pekingese before I became addicted to Yorkies and let me tell you, breeding is a calling. It is a lot of work cleaning up after puppies and a mama dog eats a lot of food. The extra food added in with vet bills for shots, etc, there is little to no money to be made in breeding dogs. Sorry about all this, I just want to make sure you realize you know what you may be getting into here. My opinion is if you want the puppy, get the puppy, just bear in mind, she's most likely a pet quality Yorkie but I really love my 2 pet quality Yorkies.

| They wanted nothing to do with that. So they ended up taking our dogs to a Kill Shelter. And they killed them only 20 minutes after they were there so we had no time to arrange any other home for them. Are you kidding me? You allowed them to have the dog's or they just took them and had them killed? This is America and I have never in my life heard such nonsence! You may have had to get rid of them within a certain amount of time but there is no way your going to tell me these people took your dog's and had them killed without you knowing about it! And the pound did this without your permission! Sorry this bucket of nonsence just dosen't hold water! I see major lawsuits, snooty people or not. No one can kill another's dog in a kill shelter without the original owner giving the ok. There's a piece of the story missing here. |

Anyways so they came and my grandparents signed a RELEASE (we were very angry when we found out its pretty much there fault but they had no clue what they were doing and didnt bother to call us because it seemed so "official" they said) so they took the dogs to a shelter and they told my grandparents that they were putting them in a pound (not that they were killing them) well the shelter within the 20 minutes to 30 or so minutes it took us to get there deemed that our dogs were unfit to re-home and that they would not find a foster or adoptive family so they killed them. They went from our home to dead within a couple hours. so it was a TERRIBLE situation. If you dont belive me you dont have to but it happened. We did want to sue but we have been focusing on relocation first before anything else. Anyways so this new pup will probably only be in this home for a few months. anyways I hope that fills in the gray area. If you would like me to go into more detail I can.

A release was signed that is the part that was missing. I am sorry this happened to your family and wish you good luck with your new pup. However, I would be moving to a safer and more welcoming neighborhood.
