Brandy - It sounds like you had a great day. Three furbabies - Yea!!

Chimicole - Your camping trip sounds like it was wonderful. I had to laugh about Cordell getting in the creek. :grin2:

Robert and I just returned from our little trip. We went to the Cumberland Gap, where Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee meet. It was a great time. Piccolo stayed with Robby, her dog sitter, and I am sure she was spoiled rotten with all the attention. Hope everyone has a great week.

winstonw 06-22-2008 03:19 PM

I'm glad you had a good time at Cumberland Gap! I'll bet you were excited to see Piccolo and vice versa....even though she loves her dog sitter;):)!! Hope your weather was ok.

chimicole 06-22-2008 03:35 PM

Cumberland Gap is beautiful! I was there once, and fell in love!
Glad you had a good time! :)

Yumi and Axl have a great grand parent that they share so yes they are related in a way.

If we would of had the extra cash on us then we would of taken him home:)

I just got off the phone and she is at home still no babies! I mean she is having twins and is dilated at 5 and 80% thinned out, you would think that she would be in hard labor by now:confused: She did say that they kept her on the meds for pre term labor and 2 hours before she has to take it she started to have contractions and they slowed down when she got the meds in her. Her OB really thought with her being 1/2 way to 10 dilated that she would not last this weekend. I will keep you all posted when they do arrive.

chimicole 06-23-2008 12:16 AM

Oh my goodness! How can you ever decide on one of the girls? How adorable! And that little boy? Yes.... he definitely wants to be yours too! Precious! Just precious! :)

Send your sister our love~ and we want babies... soon!

One of our daughters that is pregnant, is due the 25th of this month. Doc says she is only dilated 1 cm. He's giving her till Wednesday and then is talking C section... so we'll probably have a grandbaby here soon ourselves! Yea!

Lisa and Pic 06-23-2008 05:34 AM

Brandy - I don't know how you are going to decide about the girl furbaby. They are both so cute. And, of course, the boy is adorable! :D

Chimicole - A grandbaby maybe on Wednesday...Yea and Congrats!

I just called the breeder about bringing that little boy home to us, she was out so I have to wait and see. Please keep your fingers crossed, we really were not expecting to get 2 puppies!

Chimicole, How exciting to be getting a grand baby! Do you all know the sex of the baby?

My sister's due date is August 1, but it looks like it will be any day now that she is dilated to 5 so soon. I had 2 of my boy's born very early at 26weeks and 28 weeks so I know how important each day she can carry them longer is. She will be 35 weeks on Thursday.

zoey101 06-23-2008 11:06 AM

Adorame I just love the third pic. It is my favorite and which one is that one again? lol.... They are both cute:)

The anticipation of bringing your baby home. The little guy is so cute.
It will be a long 10 weeks. I bet you will be counting down the days. I hope she can post pictures regularly so the wait doesn't seem that long. They change so fast. My family can't believe what they look like as grown up dogs.
My son's friends think they look like rotwiellers.
The pups are very cute.
Good luck with them.
Lol

adorame 06-23-2008 05:27 PM

I just heard from the breeder and some one came to see the little boy, they put a deposit to hold him:( She said if it doesn't work out then she will call me and he is mine. I wish I would of been able to get this little guy! At least I still get to look forward to getting my Yumi Yasha!

zoey101 06-23-2008 09:15 PM

Awwwwh, I hope you get him!! He is so adorable but yeah you get something to look forward too:) Good luck

tatertot15 06-24-2008 08:29 AM

So this past weekend my mom had to put our cat Rusty down:cry:....he has been sick....we dont know what was wrong with him none of the vets could figure it out....he kept losing weight...you could count his ribs without touching him. He's been going down hill for the past year or so. He was roughly 10 years old....I found him at the bus stop in the sewer when I was in 8th grade. He vomited alot....had diarhea...he couldnt keep himself clean at all. And the worst part of all was when he would arch his back when he was in pain....sometimes he would yelp....I felt so bad for him. My mom went and had him put to sleep without telling me because the vet said if you dont do it today it will be weeks before we can get you in so she did it before she had a chance to back out again....He was in so much pain....I miss him so much already. He is barried in our back yard right next to my other cat that died of Luekimea (sp) when I was 16. She was my first pet. Her name was Sammy. Growing up we werent allowed to have a dog so we stuck with cats. My mom is taking this really really hard. She only has one cat left, her name is precious. She has alot of life left in her still, she is only about 5 years old.

chimicole 06-24-2008 08:34 AM

Awww.. Hon~ I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a pet.
My {{{HUGS}}} and love are with you.

zoey101 06-24-2008 11:36 AM

I am so sorry Tatertot15/ I bet that is hard:( I know i have lost some animals also and it was kind of hard but i wouldbe devastated if my cat died or yorkie!!! Well my thoughts are withyou and your mom right now!!!!

tatertot15 06-24-2008 12:02 PM

Thank you Chimicole and Zoey 101....I feel like this is one place I can go and let my feelings out....it is extremely hard to lose a pet....I just wish I would have known my mom was going to do this....I would have liked to at least say goodbye to him....instead I was told by my husband while I was outside playing with Bandit. I didnt even tell my mom I knew until Monday. DH told me she didnt want to tell me until the weekend was over because she didnt want to ruin my weekend so I didnt tell her I knew until it was over because I knew it would just hurt her more that I knew and she would have though my weekend was ruined. If that made any sense to you all....sorry. I dont know its just hard thinking he is gone and I'll never see or pet him again.

winstonw 06-24-2008 12:12 PM

Tatertot, I'm so sorry about your cat:(. Losing a pet is just so hard.

adorame 06-24-2008 12:50 PM

Ashley, sorry to hear about the poor little kitty. It is so sad when things like that happen even if it is for the "best interest" of the animal:(

When my son was real sick in the hospital, my inlaw's informed my husband that they put his child hood pet doggy, Pop Corn ,down, she was his girl and was even in his Senior pictures. He told them that they could of picked a better time to blurt that out to him, our son was getting a spinal tap( he was 2 months at the time) and they had just gone over the papers we had to sign for them to knock him out.

Lisa and Pic 06-24-2008 01:08 PM

Ashley - I am sorry about Rusty. Very sad.....

zoey101 06-24-2008 01:30 PM

So what is going on with ppl today? I am at winstonw's house!!!:) lol... Anyone want to chat?

littlelady 06-24-2008 09:17 PM

so sorry

Ashley I am so sorry about your pet. I wish your mom would have shared the news with you also. Then she wouldn't have had to go through the whole ordeal alone. Family our intentions are good but we do pick the wrong times to interject information into a conversation.

I know my timing is off alot of the time.
It is never a comfortable situation when our loved ones are suffering . It isn't easy making decisions about what to do. I just have to pray I made the best ones.

Love to you and your family

Ashley - Did Zoey and Winston have fun playing yesterday? (I'm taking for granted that they had a playdate.)

Speaking of playdates, I wanted to post pictures of Piccolo's play date last Friday night with her Morkie friends, Annie and Sammy. They have played together since they were puppies and we were thrilled to be invited over.

1. Annie, Piccolo, and Sam on the deck steps
2. All three in what they call the dog "spa," with my friend's son, that attends Eastern Kentucky University
3. Piccolo not so happy about being in the "spa" with Sam and Annie

Hope everyone is having a great week. I would love to hear about your furbabies' playdates. :)

winstonw 06-25-2008 10:23 AM

Lisa what great pictures!! Piccolo is always so pretty....and her little friends are too!! I love your deck. Did you use a solid color stain on the walking surfaces? (I'm guessing it is wood?) The levels are really cool....your backyard is great to look at from there too.....it is really pretty also!

Lilly and I are leaving for Sparta, KY tomorrow to join my lovely boyfriend who travels for work! I've been researching the surrounding areas and FINALLY found a mall and more active life in a nearby city - Florence, KY! It's about 30 minutes away which isn't far at all. Anyone around this area and can tell me what Florence is like and if there are any dog boutiques or anything of the sort? I'll be there for a week and a half or possibly longer.

winstonw 06-25-2008 06:27 PM

Emilyann...Hi Florence has tons of stores. You might ask Lisa and Pic if there are any doggy stores/botiques there.....She is somewhat close to that area. Have fun !

zoey101 06-25-2008 08:36 PM

Oh well Lisa I went over there and jumped on her trampoline with this hideous bright red color! lol we cracked up they are ordering a blue one but anyways i didnt get to take her because one i was in a hurry to get down there and she didnt have a harness on and i couldnt find one and i was going to put her in a bag but i decided not too:( Well yeah i love the pics looks like fun!!
